Daocheng Yading: 7 Beautiful Scene and Snowy Plateau

Xian Nai is the tallest of the three mountains of Yading, with an altitude of 6032 m. Xian Nai means “Guying Bodhisattva”, and the Buddha ranks second in 3 Gods Mountain. The mountain shape resembles a big Buddha with a body reclining, sitting proudly in the lotus seat, holding a huge pagoda in his arms. In many places in the Aden scenic area, you can see Xian Nai, the most beautiful view is the Pearl Sea. In addition, the local Tibetans will also travel to Xian Nai, which is called “small turn to the mountain,” which takes one whole day.

Yang Maiyong is 5958 m above sea level and is the southern peak of the main snow-capped mountains of Aden. This snow-capped mountain in the Tibetan language means “Manjushri Bodhisattva”, which is the highest among the three gods in Buddhism. The snow-capped mountains are like swords in the hands of the Buddha, pointing to the sky; and the foothills are vast meadows and forests. For people coming from Daocheng, Yang Maiyong is the most difficult one to see among the three snow-capped mountains. From the Luorong cattle farm, the five-color sea, and the milk sea, you can see Yang Maiyong, and the mountain is the most easily seen from the Shenshui gate to the Luorong cattle farm.

Xia Duo Duoji is the eastern peak of the snowy mountain of Aden, the "three lords", at an altitude of 5,958 m. Dusk is the most beautiful time of the summer, the sunset is slanting on the snowy peaks, bare rocks and ice are like a layer of gold foil, and everything is rendered very beautiful. The Snowy Mountain is the embodiment of the "Vajrapani Bodhisattva" and the god of Buddhism. Legend has it that a giant scorpion entered Aden, and the Vajrapani Bodhisattva made this mountain. So far, people can still see a giant rock in front of the Shanuo Duoji Mountain.

The Luorong Niuchang is backed by three Shenshan Mountains at an altitude of 4,150 m. It is the best place to see the three gods mountains. Around the cattle farm is a continuous alpine meadow. The Gongga River passes through the cattle farm. The flocks of cattle and sheep graze leisurely on the riverside and on the hillside. Backpackers who walked to the mountains often set up camps here to watch the sunrise and sunset of Mount Kinabalu. The milk sea and the five-color sea are also must-see attractions. It takes at least four hours to travel from the Luorong cattle farm to the milk sea.

Known as the "Zhuoma Lacuo" in the Tibetan language of the Pearl Sea, it is located near the Shennian Mountain and near the Chonggu Temple. It is formed by the melting snow of Xiannai. Here you can see the best places in Xiannai. When the weather is calm, the snow-capped mountains, the blue sky and the woods are reflected on the lake, which is breathtaking. June and October are the best time to visit the Pearl Sea. The two seasons have their own characteristics: the rhododendrons in the summer lake are blooming, the flowers are clustered with the mountains of the gods, and in the autumn you can see the layers of forests, and the lake will reflect the colorful images.

The Milk Sea is also known as the Russian velvet sea, at an altitude of 4,600 m. It is the ancient glacial lake at the foot of Yangmaiyong Mountain. The lake is clear and blue, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, like a jasper embedded in a snowy mountain. The milk sea lake is different in depth. The outermost layer is a circle of milky white sand. On the nearest shore, there are long black plants with long-term plant sedimentation. Some of it is light green, and the deeper water is green in color. The blue is very translucent. It is about 4.5 km from Luorongniu Farm to Milk Sea. There is no road in this section. You can only walk or rent a horse to take a muddy mountain road. It takes about 4-6 hours to travel.

The five-color sea is located not far above the milk sea, surrounded by two mountains of Xiannai and Yang Maiyong. The lake is derived from the melting water of the snow-capped mountains and is clear and transparent. It is named after the colorful colors that shine in the sunlight. The five-color sea is considered the lake of god in the hearts of local people. It is said to be able to "reverse history and predict the future." It is in the same place as Tibet's Yamdrok in Tibetan Buddhism. Autumn is the best season to visit and sightsee the five-color sea, with more sunny days and plenty of water.
