I was unexpectedly stranded at Shenzhen North (Shenzhenbei) during the busy holiday season and urgently needed a place to stay. After comparing several listings on Trip.com, this hostel stood out based on its reviews, and it fully lived up to my expectations. The photos are accurate and reflect the property exactly as it is. The host prepared the bed sheets and pillowcases right in front of me, which immediately reassured me about the cleanliness. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Cleanliness is one of my top priorities when choosing accommodation because I value my health, and I felt completely comfortable staying here. I saw no pests or anything unhygienic, so if you’re concerned about that, you can rest easy. The host speaks basic English and was very welcoming. Since I had just traveled from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen North, he even kindly offered to show me around the area. There are plenty of food options nearby, I enjoyed Lanzhou noodles and stinky tofu just steps from the building. For clarification, the hostel is located inside an apartment building and operates in a dorm-style setup. Shoes are removed at the entrance, and guest slippers are provided. There is a comfortable common area with a sofa and dining table, free drinking water, and complimentary toiletries including a toothbrush and disposable towel, which was especially helpful since I had forgotten to pack one. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a Western-style sit-down toilet. Each bed has its own privacy curtain and personal light, which I appreciated. There are also power outlets conveniently located at each bed. Wi-Fi worked smoothly without any issues, and free laundry is available, which is a great bonus for travelers. There are designated quiet hours, so you can sleep comfortably. During my stay, it was peaceful and no one snored. The host even asked whether I snore, which shows he is considerate of all guests. The other guests were polite and respectful. I was the only foreigner staying there, and the rest were Chinese travelers who were likely in the same situation, unable to secure train tickets that night. The property is non-smoking, which I also appreciated. The only minor downside is for taller guests. I am 183 cm (6 ft), and I had to curl up slightly since the bed length appears to be around 180 cm. It was manageable, but something to keep in mind if you’re tall. The location is very convenient. It’s next to the train station, and you can easily take the subway if you have luggage. It only cost me 2 RMB to ride, so there’s really no need to take a taxi. In the morning, I bought pork steamed buns and soy milk from a nearby vendor, he was friendly, and the food was great. For $4, this was outstanding value. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and convenient place to stay near Shenzhen North, this is an excellent option. The owner is very nice - very chatty and easy to talk to. My luggage was crazy heavy and he helped me with it and loaded it onto the didi for me as well, which I really appreciate! Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of the accommodation because I was sooo busy and tired~ The area is 20 min to 体育西路 which I love going to because there's a whole basement of anime and donghua merch you can get from there! Plenty to eat too. Breakfast was simple but good and to my liking. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed showering there! The heated toilet bowls really make a difference. They have cats in the lobby as well. There is only one washer and dryer in the lobby that you can only use from breakfast time onwards so travellers who intend to wash and dry your clothes there do take note~ I was there past midnight and the young guy at the reception kind of mixed up my room, and didn't tell me about breakfast either 🥲 so I only had breakfast on the last day of my stay hahaha! Anyways on the first day I was in Changsha for a day trip, and I was notified that they would have to shift my stuff to my new room because there was a mistake in the room type, which was fine by me! But the housekeeper kind of just threw all my stuff into my luggage without any care so my clean clothes and dirty airplane clothes were mixed together with my used undergarments and my books were bent :( my dresses were also still in the wardrobe in the previous room and they didn't bring it to my new room so I had to wear a dress that I haven't washed the next day 😅 but I didn't want to make a fuss since I came back to the hotel from Changsha at about 2am and understood that the owner can't possibly wake the occupants in the room to retrieve my clothes. Also the next morning the housekeeper was pretty nice so there's that! In conclusion I will still choose this accommodation when I'm back in GZ as its value for money, really clean and has chill vibes, and near 广州东站~ Way better than the other place I stayed at (M*m**nt Hotel hahahah)

Five-star review! The property looks exactly like the pictures, it was sparkling clean and tidy throughout, and the bedding was dry and comfortable. All the appliances were fully equipped and worked great. The host was patient and communicative, provided clear check-in instructions, and was very responsive to any questions. The neighborhood is quiet, and the surrounding area offers convenient transportation, dining, and shopping. It's perfect for both family trips and gatherings with friends, and offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely prioritize this place for my next visit! 🌹🌹🌹

Very dirty place. The common area for the ladies was full of trash, tables dirty and the bathroom dirty. The beds were hard, matresses very thin and for a tall person above 1.72m it is not advisable. They also have shelves at the head of the beds so if you are talles you will slam your head in those. The balcony was full of dirt and people's clothes. It was very hard to find and the front gate was locked and had to spend good amount of time with the security guards until they understood that I have a reservation. Basically these are big apartment buildings so some rooms will be in complex B, others complex C. The receptionist were kind but very disorganized. People in the common area were super unfriendly and actually rude. All in all, I don't recommend this place.

The inn recommended by a friend. As soon as I arrived, I felt that my friend knew himself and it was too good. The whole space layout is very Zen, and the field is quiet. The housekeepers are warm and thoughtful and feel at home. A small detail at the entrance of the inn also gave me a little understanding of the history of this village. In Weitang Village, the villagers used to run brick burning. The blue brick at the entrance of the inn is a witness to the history of the village. The experience of this stay is like the name of the room I live in.

This guesthouse boasts an amazing location and design! Nestled amidst a bamboo forest, the environment is peaceful, the air is fresh, and it's incredibly comfortable. Plus, it's super pet-friendly, allowing us to bring our little furry friends along! We booked a sunrise-view courtyard for 4 nights, but sadly, we overslept every morning and missed the beautiful sunrise! The courtyard is built along the riverside, offering stunning mountain views from the small balcony. You can also go fishing or watch other guests kayaking (a complimentary activity provided by the guesthouse), so there's plenty to do! The guesthouse is also very close to nearby attractions. We visited Dongtian Fairyland and Tuofengshan Inn, and even enjoyed an exhilarating and thrilling rafting experience! The guesthouse's herbal chicken pot was absolutely delicious, even better than those at local farmhouses! The housekeeper was very warm and the service was thoughtful. When we checked out, they even gave us fresh bamboo shoots (sweet and tender) and Yingde's famous Yinghong No. 9 tea as a parting gift. We left with our hands full!

Overall, it was decent. The room environment was fine, but the location isn't ideal for families with strollers, a bit of a hassle. The service was very good. I accidentally left my earphones, and the staff found them and mailed them back to me. Their service attitude deserves a big thumbs up! We didn't get to take the scheduled photos, which was a bit disappointing as we missed out on a family portrait. While the sea here didn't have the rumored 'glassy' effect, it was at least clean and suitable for kids to play in, which I really liked.

STAFF APPRECIATION: Simply wonderful. I encountered many staff members during my stay, working in the hotel itself, the various cafes and restaurants, and on the beach. Every single one was professional and kind and so very warm. Several of the young people working there also spoke English, which was an unexpected pleasure and convenience for which I was grateful. However, I owe a special thanks to the lovely little sisters at the front desk, Catie and Xiao Kue. Especially Catie. This sweet young woman took exceptional care of me during my stay, seeing to every need, answering every question (in English, no less), and patiently guiding my drivers to the location when I arrived or chose to go out and explore. I am getting older now and often require clear instructions and visual aids. 😅 She kindly offered both. 非常感谢。🙏 HOTEL REVIEW: There are multiple warnings given before and during the stay about ongoing construction next door, but it had minimal impact on my stay and, if you're out exploring and playing, you won't even notice it by the time you return in the evening. As promised, it started at breakfast time and concluded by 6pm in the evening around dinner time every day. I choose this hotel deliberately because, while a little more expensive than its competitors and a bit off the beaten path, it seemed to offer more convenience and privacy. I was so relieved to see that this was true. Their beach is small, but well-maintained and private, which meant no crowd and plenty of opportunity to take people-free pictures and simply sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea. There was also no shortage of dining options on the resort itself as well as nearby. Several fun, beautiful places to visit are also located a short drive away. However, if you're looking for a retreat, a place to simply rest and be close to nature, away from crowds, this place offers that as well. It was a welcome respite. I saw couple, families with children, and even a few other foreign guests all enjoying their time here. 🏖 Because I was on a budget this time, I chose the lowest priced room and was prepared to sacrifice my view of the sea. Unexpectedly, I didn't have to. This was a very happy surprise. ☺️ Though, I'll definitely try and splurge on a room on a higher floor next time as being near the entrance could sometimes be a little loud when guests arrived. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my time here and hope to return someday. TLDR; Wonderful, attentive staff; private, convenient location; stunning views; and several dining options all offer a very pleasant, worry-free getaway during peak season. Well worth the price and the journey. Every kind of traveler will find something to enjoy here.

This was my first time staying at a hostel, and I was so impressed with how comfortable and enjoyable it was. The hostel is super close to Vientiane World, just a short walk away. The owner (uncle) was incredibly kind and I bothered him quite a bit during my two-day stay. The air conditioning was perfectly cool and quiet, no annoying noises at all. Everyone at the hostel was very peaceful and considerate. The bedding was changed for each guest, no mold, no cockroaches – everything was clean and tidy.
