Amazing accomodation in Athenry. We booked this accomodation because it was a 20 minute train ride from Galway and the lodge was a very short walk from the train station. We really enjoyed being at the Lodge at the Old Barracks. The accomodation had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. But what was a true highlight was the breakfast at the cafe below (included with our booking) - the food was so delicious and better than any other hotel breakfast I’ve had. Would come back just for the breakfast!!  Small note, the floor above creaked when the people moved around the room above which was a bit of a disturbance early in the morning or at night.  But overall, would 10/10 recommend!

Really nice, traditional B&B, we got a big room with 3 beds only needed the double. But it was a very big room. Location is spot on, nice and quiet with beautiful views from the window and an easy drive into the main town where you had all the amenities. The host was lovely, like your very own Irish grandma. Always checking if you are comfortable and happy. The breakfast was a nice touch also. Would stay again.

It was a bit tricky to find but the staff were very helpful. They suggested free parking for the night and even provided a map to get there. They lent us an adaptor as Swiss plugs could not go into Irish sockets. Very pleasant stay and the room was fine, all necessary amenities available as well as aircon.

The hotel has three floors and no elevator, but it is very warm. The hotel owner is a twin brother, tall and tall, but very elegant. The hotel should include breakfast, but the description is to charge, so that everyone did not go to breakfast, I hope to inform you clearly in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. The host was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

This is a summer school style place. The structure is a student dormitory mode. There are 4 small rooms in a large area, which is relatively independent. The environment is OK, there is a convenience store downstairs, closes at 22 o'clock, very close to the 404 bus station. The fly in the ointment is: no slippers, shampoo, shower gel, no toothbrushing cup, these are like living in a dormitory, you need to prepare yourself. The air conditioner cannot be turned on in cooling mode.

The hotel is a family hotel, the location is very good, a few minutes walk to the center of Galway, there are many family hotels of the same type near the hotel. The breakfast was good, the room was so-so, and the bathroom was simple
