What a great hotel! Probably the most comfortable room in our two weeks in Sri Lanka. Very nice bed, good sheets and blanket, AC worked well, and the big bonus - a separate shower from the toilet with properly hot water.
The property itself is also gorgeous. The room is small but has everything you need. Also, ours faced off the street so it was very quiet (save for some peacocks at night 😅).
If I had to suggest an improvement, it'd be the breakfast. It was delicious (western) and plentiful but everything was coming out one thing at a time. So it would definitely be good to improve on efficiency. That said, great coffee - also not served everywhere.

The room directly faced the beach and the sunset, which was incredibly beautiful. It shared the same sea view as the neighboring Global 100 Villa Hotel. The hotel's location was a bit hard to find, but following Google Maps worked perfectly. The only downside was a power outage at night; this small hotel didn't have any emergency measures. If you used a flashlight, many small insects would fly into the room, so we just had to wait quietly on the balcony for the power to come back on.

The room was pretty clean but it needs renovation. There was no aircon inside (only fan). Bedsheets were clean as well.
They also provide a towel.
As for bath and toilet it was also pretty clean and needs renovation as well. There was hot water but no shampoo/shower gel in bath cabins. There was only one hanger inside and toilet paper as well.
There was a kettle in lobby on ground floor.
As for cold drinking water they don't provide it. Internet connection was pretty stable.
Located in 10 mins walking distance from turtle beach.
The staff was accomodating and helpful.

Ausgesprochen freundliche, zuvorkommende und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir bekamen ein sehr leckeres Frühstück, siehe Bild. Das Quartier ist ruhig und dennoch zentral gelegen. Die Einrichtung ist landesüblich, aber auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Wir würden jederzeit dort wieder absteigen.

This B&B is the owner's own house. The room on the third floor rooftop is for guests to stay. The owner is very welcoming❤ The two daughters are also very cute. The breakfast is super good👍 The hostess cooks it herself. The bread is baked very deliciously. There are also freshly squeezed juice, yogurt, fruit, fried eggs, jam, butter, and freshly made snacks the next day. Very cost-effective! The bedding is neat and clean, and the air conditioner and water heater work well. The only drawback is that it is more than two kilometers away from the ancient city. Before 9:30 in the evening, there will be noise when someone uses water to pump the water pump. There will be no sound when it is turned off after falling asleep.

The hotel was beautiful in the middle of the jungle with lots of animals. The staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating. However, the facilities for the drivers were incomplete, as the driver accomodations did not provide a fenced off parking lot for them to put their cars (which is neccesary because of the damage the elephants can do). This, in combination with the remote location and the terrible (almost not driveable by normal van or car) road to the hotel made it very hard for our driver to come and go to pick us up. I strongly feel our driver and any other driver/guide should have appropriate facilities to ensure proper working conditions in which an extremely long drive back and forth on a dangerous road is not neccesary.

Right in the middle of the Fort so a great location when visiting Galle. Room was pretty small and there was no hot water in the shower. But it was satisfactory for a one night stay.

A beautiful guest house, spent three weeks in Sri Lanka and constantly chose hotels with a breakfast included and decided to give priority to location and good reviews and did not regret
This guest house has its beautiful kitchen with a large range of pans of pans pot bowls of blades for cooking. We went to the market and to the shop and bought food to cook delicious breakfast and snacks
Rooms look very clean and new air conditioning works well eating their area on the balcony to drink tea and relax
Good location, near the beach with the most beautiful underwater world as well as cheap supermarket and fruit fish market

My wife and i had a fantastic stay at coral beach hotel. Very friendly staff. They even gave my wife a lovely gift on our departure. Highly recommended. Watch the surfers from your own private balcony un the sunshine.

Yala Golden Wild, a pleasant house with beautiful pool, ever ready to help staff. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds comfy, shower water a good pressure. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed 2 nights and will recommend those who are doing Yala National Park Safari to choose starting there.

GGuest UserWe stayed here before a trip to Yala national park. The hotel property is quaint and charming. We took pictures of monkeys and peacocks near the hotel’s river bank and trees.
Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The shower had hot water, but barely any pressure available. Internet was inconsistent and did not work for the first few hours.
The staff were friendly and did their best to communicate with us and meet our needs. They helped us arrange private transportation to and from the international airport and local safaris with third-parties.
We had two meals cooked by our hostess. Our first meal there was excellent with many fresh, local dishes. However, the second meal was simply rice and overcooked chicken, which we struggled to finish. That meal was double the first meal’s price. Also, meal prices were not disclosed until checkout, when we were surprised with a disproportionately large bill, charging us equally for our two meals as our two-night stay in the room. Our fault for not asking first, I suppose, but I felt taken advantage of and it soured our experience.

We stayed for 6 nights with breakfast included — and honestly, it felt like a little home in paradise. 🌴 From the moment we arrived, the hosts (couple) were incredibly warm and welcoming. They always made sure everything was comfortable. The place itself is tucked away from the noise, so it’s peaceful but still just a short walk to the beach, cafes, and restos. The room was clean, spacious, and cozy, with great natural light and good AC — perfect after a long beach day. The Wi-Fi was reliable as well. Breakfast every morning was freshly made and absolutely delicious — fruits, eggs, toast, and the kind of Sri Lankan fruit juice that makes you want to stay forever. 🍳☕ What stood out most was the hospitality. The owners went above and beyond to help us with any query we had. You can really feel the care and kindness in this family-run place. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and genuinely friendly stay in Mirissa, Village Star Rest deserves all the stars. 🌟 Highly recommended — We would love to come back again!

The views from the room is breathtaking. The service crew is friendly and helpful. They help me to prepare my meals without additional charge. The room is clean, the only downside is there is no TV & hair dryer provided.

There was hot water and toiletries, which is a marked upgrade from some of the other places in Sri Lanka. The bed was very comfortable & they had adequate towels, which was also not common in many places where I have stayed in Sri Lanka. The food was relatively unremarkable, advertising basil & rosemary ice cream, when in reality, it was just vanilla ice cream with dried herbs sprinkled on top. Maybe stick with the Sri Lankan country dishes. An easy walk to a quiet beach, wild surroundings but also had a TV with working cable channels. The bungalow was elegantly furnished with small animals right outside your door.
