Overall, my experience was just okay. We stayed in a quad room, and the floor wasn't very clean – there was a lot of hair. There's no private bathroom in the room, so you have to go to the communal area to shower. The public restrooms also lack windows and ventilation, so after someone smokes, the smell lingers. In the men's communal bathroom, the two shower stalls aren't clearly marked, making it easy to enter the wrong one. The owner really needs to improve these points.

A place full of love! The best hostel I have ever been to (across Asia America and Europe) Located in the ancient district of Quanzhou so convenient to go most of the spots Holds a big lobby where has film screening and all kinds of activities every night Welcoming front desk and I reaaaaaaaly like her. Brought me into the community and share me everything interesting about Quanzhou Most of the volunteers there used to be the guests (proof for how lovely the community is!) and all thanks to Xinyue, Qiuqiu, Cici, Weiwei, Hongmei, A-Jun, Ms Lin, Bro Cong, and Sis Nan, such an unforgettable memory with you guys in Quanzhou!

Nice little hostel, except for the rat in the room. Good location near the Sanfang Qixiang district, a huge street food street and metro line. Bed uncomfortable; just a thin mattress. Room had lockers and several plugs per bed. Great view from the window. Free washing machine in the room. Nice common area and very social if you speak Chinese. Wifi okay, but it dropped out sometimes. Hot and warm drinking water available. I saw a big rat in my room and rat poop on the bed above me (see picture) so they moved me to another room. Hopefully it's not a common thing. It's super confusing to find: go around to the back side of the building (east side) and go to the ”lobby”. Take the elevator to the 7th floor. Turn right out of the elevator and then take another right, and go to the end of the hallway.

I'll definitely come back to Hai Le Xin! I came to Dongshan Island on a whim, but I met some wonderful people. I originally planned to stay only two days, but the atmosphere was so wonderful I stayed four! I told my friends that my few days here were more fulfilling than my freshman semester. There's the incredibly active Boss Ye, who calls me ”sister” every day and organizes activities for us to watch the sunrise. There's Director Pan, who taught me how to swim and play the electronic organ. There's the chef, who takes me swimming and gives me massages. There's Sister Ting, who takes me to the beach and treats me to beef ball noodles. There's Sister Yan, who noisily feeds me rice cakes. There's Jianhui, who thinks women can slow down driving. There's the drunkard who drinks Budweiser. There's also Boss Yang, who plays the piano next door. It's a lovely bunch! And Director Huang and Director Zhu! As Boss Ye said, it's not the sunrise that's romantic, it's the people at Hai Le Xin. It's a bit of a shame that I promised the chef to stay for dinner on the last day before leaving, but I left early. My time at Hai Le Xin was the happiest time of my summer vacation, besides the Ten Qintian concert in Nanchang. Finally, I wish everyone a happy day, fewer worries, and a good night's sleep! I wish Hai Le Xin will prosper and become bigger and stronger! I wish the boss a prosperous business, abundant wealth, and more and more handsome!

Nice cheap hostel. I would stay here again. Good location near metro and Xiamen train station. Very clean. Mattress was okay, but a little thin. Rooms are a little hot, even in winter. Lockers cannot be locked. No western style toilets. Good hot water in showers. Toilet paper available only at the front desk, hand soap only by the women's sinks. Spacious common areas, lots of seating. Not very social. Wifi worked only in the common area, not in the room. It got overloaded and slow in the evening but was acceptable in the morning. Staff is there 10am-midnight. There's a fridge, microwave and hot drinking water (no warm/cold drinking water). Kitchen however seems only available for staff. Other guests were generally respectful and well-behaved. No other foreigners.

Probably one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. There are two lovely cats, and the interior is designed to feel cozy and comfortable. Even though the mattresses on the lower bunks are placed directly on the floor, they’re surprisingly comfortable, not the extremely thin ones you often find in hostels. The room itself feels warm and inviting, and it’s quite spacious for 4 people. Having a semi-private shower and toilet inside the room (rather than sharing with the whole floor or hostel) was a big plus. The location couldn’t be better, it's just a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. Right outside the hostel there’s a lively street full of food stalls and street vendors, so you could easily spend days exploring the area without needing to go far. The only downside was that on one of the nights some guests checked in and started smoking in the room and bathroom, despite the no smoking signs. But that’s not the hostel’s fault, it really just depends on the neighbors you happen to get.

The boss was very enthusiastic. He brought me quilt covers and sheets, helped me purchase tickets for the Impression Dahongpao performance, which were cheaper than buying on the official account, and also gave me a travel guide, although I didn’t use it in the end. Hahaha, the boss lady is very beautiful and elegant. The youth hostel is not close to the South Gate entrance, nor is it close to Impression Dahongpao, so be careful to plan your time. The bed in the youth hostel was a bit hard. The pillow cotton on the bed I stayed in was uneven and high and low. It was uncomfortable to sleep for one night. I didn’t feel energetic when I woke up the next day. It kind of affected my trip the next day, and it also had to bear the burden of your sleep. Some of my friends’ behaviors include one roommate who stayed up late at night, and another roommate who got up at 3 o’clock the next day. He was woken up even though he was already uncomfortable sleeping, and there is no one-time toilet service here. There is a public bathroom for supplies, and there is no paper in the toilet in the room. If you come to stay, it is best to bring these with you. Look at what travel bloggers who stay in youth hostels on the Internet say about some hookups and interesting things. It’s an interesting activity for people, I want to try it, but there is still a certain gap between the Internet and reality. If you have high requirements for accommodation, you can stay in a hotel. But if you are traveling on a budget and only need a place to stay, then go for it. What kind of bike do you want at this price? Wuyi Mountain is super beautiful! ! !

The room is damp and musty. These can be tolerated, but the public activity area is outside the room. It is still holding a symposium after half of Lingdian. It is also necessary to consider that everyone's work and rest time is different. I have lived in many youth travels. Other accommodations and activities are separated. If you can change it, it would be fine. The store was very enthusiastic. I originally booked for 2 nights. I changed the place directly the next morning. The nervous person was not suitable.

The lobby was hot, but the bedroom had air conditioning and I was able to sleep comfortably. The bathroom had shampoo, body soap, etc., which was convenient. I didn't use them this time, but it seems there are many other amenities available. However, it was difficult for foreigners to find the location. However, the manager was very helpful, so I think it's a good idea to contact him in advance via WeChat and ask him for directions before heading there.

The standard room was a bit small. After a while, the air conditioning started leaking and wasn't cooling effectively. However, I called the front desk, and they immediately moved me to a new room. Their service in resolving the issue was absolutely excellent. Xiamen is wonderful, and I'll definitely be back.

GGuest UserThe room is quite decent, with a large balcony, which is convenient for drying the air and enjoying tea. However, there are still mosquitoes in this season. The hotel is in a very good location, next to Impression Dahongpao and Tea Expo. The starting price of a taxi to the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area. The room rate does not include breakfast, but you can order breakfast with the boss one night in advance. Wontons and pies (shredded radish, pickles) are recommended. The store also sells tea, and they gave away a small pack of Dahongpao. There are tea sets in the room, and they also remind you that tea made with mineral water tastes better :)

AAnonymous UserMany hotels in this single-family villa on Gulangyu Island have their own yard, which is very pleasant. There are tea houses and swings in the yard. Children like to swing. The house has two or three floors, no elevator, and the boss will help with luggage. However, there is no dock pick-up service and you need to go to the hotel yourself. Fortunately, this store is also close to Sanqiutian Wharf, just a few minutes away. Behind the Athena Bar, the first time I went, the road was not easy to find. I also looked for a while. There was a road that was blocked. The door was closed. I could walk from the side of the bar. In terms of rooms, the price is relatively low, and there are windows. Outside the window is another villa hotel. You can't see the sea and you can't hear the piano. You can always hear the resident singing of the bar at night. Tatami against the wall, it is more assured to sleep with your baby. Other facilities are also relatively complete and clean. There is a public washing machine, the coat can still be put down to wash, the boss has a drying rack, you can hang in the yard on sunny days, afraid of rain can put the room. The boss is still very good, very kind, responsive 😆
