This is the fifth Backpacker Ten Years hostel I've stayed at, and this one feels a bit basic, as you can see in the picture:
After getting off the elevator, I saw a tiny front desk. Compared to the recently opened Backpacker Ten Years in Changsha, this one needs quite a few improvements.
The men's restroom only has squat toilets and one urinal. Used towels were scattered everywhere. It would be much better if there were more urinals and some standing toilets. I guess it's hard for you to change the hardware and facilities now.
When I used the toilet, I saw footprints on the squatting pan. When showering, there were towels left on the floor from the previous guest. The locker in the room has a fingerprint lock, which is quite good compared to card access. The space is also quite large.
The laundry area is a bit small. I won't even complain about the clothes, pants, and socks lying on the floor. Please add some towel collection bins in the men's showers, so guests can put used towels there, just like the slipper collection bins. This way, when guests check out, they'll naturally return their slippers to the bin.
Overall, this stay was okay. It would be even better if the complimentary bottled water was placed in a dedicated locker and earplugs were provided. (This morning, a guest in my room was saying that someone was snoring loudly last night and he couldn't sleep well. He only managed to fall asleep after staying up late and being completely exhausted. I was so tired from traveling all day that I didn't hear anything, otherwise, I would have changed rooms. Haha)

Nice little hostel, except for the rat in the room.
Good location near the Sanfang Qixiang district, a huge street food street and metro line.
Bed uncomfortable; just a thin mattress. Room had lockers and several plugs per bed. Great view from the window. Free washing machine in the room.
Nice common area and very social if you speak Chinese. Wifi okay, but it dropped out sometimes. Hot and warm drinking water available.
I saw a big rat in my room and rat poop on the bed above me (see picture) so they moved me to another room. Hopefully it's not a common thing.
It's super confusing to find: go around to the back side of the building (east side) and go to the ”lobby”. Take the elevator to the 7th floor. Turn right out of the elevator and then take another right, and go to the end of the hallway.

A place full of love! The best hostel I have ever been to (across Asia America and Europe)
Located in the ancient district of Quanzhou so convenient to go most of the spots
Holds a big lobby where has film screening and all kinds of activities every night
Welcoming front desk and I reaaaaaaaly like her. Brought me into the community and share me everything interesting about Quanzhou
Most of the volunteers there used to be the guests (proof for how lovely the community is!) and all thanks to Xinyue, Qiuqiu, Cici, Weiwei, Hongmei, A-Jun, Ms Lin, Bro Cong, and Sis Nan, such an unforgettable memory with you guys in Quanzhou!

This hostel is an absolute gem in Qingdao, truly amazing! 👍 From the moment I stepped in, it felt as comfortable as home. 🥰 The separate dorms for men and women are such a thoughtful touch. 👏
I have to rave about its location 🚇 – it's right by the subway exit! Just a few steps from the station, which is super convenient, especially when you're lugging luggage 🧳.
I booked a four-person dorm 🛏️, and the room was incredibly spacious. The common areas, rooms, and even the stairwells were sparkling clean ✨. Everyone gets a large locker with a smart lock, and there are slippers right at the entrance, along with a stool and shoe rack. The best part is the individual bunk beds – each has a shelf for personal items and a charging port, so my phone was always charged 🔋. Loved it! 💕

Probably one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. There are two lovely cats, and the interior is designed to feel cozy and comfortable. Even though the mattresses on the lower bunks are placed directly on the floor, they’re surprisingly comfortable, not the extremely thin ones you often find in hostels. The room itself feels warm and inviting, and it’s quite spacious for 4 people. Having a semi-private shower and toilet inside the room (rather than sharing with the whole floor or hostel) was a big plus.
The location couldn’t be better, it's just a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. Right outside the hostel there’s a lively street full of food stalls and street vendors, so you could easily spend days exploring the area without needing to go far.
The only downside was that on one of the nights some guests checked in and started smoking in the room and bathroom, despite the no smoking signs. But that’s not the hostel’s fault, it really just depends on the neighbors you happen to get.

Five-star in the Youth Hostel, the room is spacious and bright, the bedding is clean, the quilt is thin and thick, it is used at will, the environment is very quiet, the service is first-class, the key is that the atmosphere is good, the boss timely adopts reasonable suggestions, is a person who is doing business, must like it.

The youth hostel is newly opened, and the owner is a soft-spoken lady who makes people feel refreshed! The transportation location is excellent. It is 500 meters away from Dadao Metro Station. Take bus No. 66 and get off at Zhongting Street Station, which is 300 meters away. The mattress on the bed is relatively comfortable, the color and style of the three-piece bedding set are lovely, and disposable toothpaste and toothbrushes are provided. Overall, I am satisfied!

The room for 4 people was not noisy, and the boss was very nice. Xiang introduced in detail how to travel, the surroundings of the hotel, restaurants, how to travel by bus, how to go to scenic spots, how to take the train, and how to take the bus. I took the Wuyishan bus for free when I traveled. , regardless of locals, foreigners, adults and senior citizens, free of charge.

If you travel to Dongshan Island alone, you must come to Shankala! If you want to have a dream-like life experience, you must come to Shankara! Shankara's friends are all very enthusiastic, and the dishes cooked by her sister are also very delicious😋. I also met many lovely friends, and we watched the sunrise together, leaving behind unforgettable memories. I think Shankara is like a paradise, where there is no dispute, no worldly prejudice, only joy and happiness. It turns out that traveling can be so cool, and that life is full of surprises. These are the precious fragments of memories that Shankara brought me.

The room is damp and musty. These can be tolerated, but the public activity area is outside the room. It is still holding a symposium after half of Lingdian. It is also necessary to consider that everyone's work and rest time is different. I have lived in many youth travels. Other accommodations and activities are separated. If you can change it, it would be fine. The store was very enthusiastic. I originally booked for 2 nights. I changed the place directly the next morning. The nervous person was not suitable.

GGuest UserThe room is quite decent, with a large balcony, which is convenient for drying the air and enjoying tea. However, there are still mosquitoes in this season. The hotel is in a very good location, next to Impression Dahongpao and Tea Expo. The starting price of a taxi to the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area. The room rate does not include breakfast, but you can order breakfast with the boss one night in advance. Wontons and pies (shredded radish, pickles) are recommended. The store also sells tea, and they gave away a small pack of Dahongpao. There are tea sets in the room, and they also remind you that tea made with mineral water tastes better :)
AAnonymous UserThere are many single-family villa hotels on Gulangyu Island, each with its own courtyard, which is very cozy. There's a teahouse and a swing in the courtyard, which the children love. The house is only two or three stories high and there's no elevator, but the owner will help with luggage. However, there's no ferry service, so you'll need to get to the hotel yourself. Fortunately, this hotel is close to Sanqiutian Pier, only a few minutes away. It's located behind the Athena Bar, and finding it can be difficult for a first-time visitor. I spent a while searching, but one side of the road was blocked and the door was locked, so I had to walk through the bar.
The room was reasonably priced, and it had a window overlooking another villa hotel. While you can't see the sea or hear the piano, you can still hear the bar's resident singers at night. The tatami mats are against the wall, making it comfortable for children to sleep on. Other amenities are quite complete and clean.
There's a public washing machine, so you can wash clothes there. The owner also provides a drying rack for hanging clothes in the courtyard on sunny days or in the room if it rains. The boss is pretty good, very kind and responsive.

HHeLiX 张The owner take me to the another places at 13th floor (among 500 meters near the old place). In here very amazing, you can see the big square downside and firework. Have a lot of restaurant and supermarket around. Room is big, no smell, have hair dryer and boiling water. From airport, go by DiDi taxi ~20¥
