GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at this hostel, and I absolutely loved it! The overall experience was fantastic. The location is unbeatable, right next to a transportation hub, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, getting around, and finding food. The interior design is simple yet cozy, showing care in every detail. The common areas are clean and elegant, perfect for relaxing and chatting with friends. My room had great natural light and was simply but tastefully furnished. The bedding was soft and clean, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were complete and spotless, with hot water available at all times, making for an excellent everyday living experience. The staff were thoughtful and attentive, friendly and approachable, patiently answering all my travel questions. The overall vibe was relaxed and comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The other guests were all very friendly. This place offers incredible value for money, making it my top choice for accommodation when traveling. I highly recommend it to all fellow travelers!

I stayed at Banana International Youth Hostel in Haikou for one night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hostel itself is a good option if you’re planning to stay for a longer period.
Unfortunately, I only had one night there, so I didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy what the hostel has to offer.
The main downside for a short stay is the location. If you’re only visiting Haikou for one or two nights and want to quickly explore the main attractions, it may not be the most convenient base.
That said, for a longer stay, especially if you prefer a more relaxed experience and don’t mind traveling around, I think it could be a good choice. 👍

NNora__I found this hotel on the same day, after deciding to leave a hostel where the hygiene conditions were far from ideal. I arrived an hour before the regular check-in time, yet they still welcomed me into a beautiful room—perfectly furnished and, above all, exceptionally clean. The cleanliness was impeccable, and it’s just one of the many positive aspects of this hotel. They provided towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, and the shampoo was wonderfully fragrant and of excellent quality. During my stay, I experienced some health issues (I won’t go into details), but the owners helped me immensely. They also offer luggage storage and package reception services. The location is central and just a five minutes walk from the main Sanya beach. I felt at home even though I was on the other side of the world, and I don’t think there’s anything better than that.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in Li'an Town, the room is clean and tidy, the bed is relatively large, and the price is high. There is a supermarket downstairs that is very convenient, and the dishes at the Wanghai Hotel next to it are not bad. It is about 3 kilometers away from Gangmenling Park. It is still a little far to walk. You can take the bus or call Didi. Whether you are driving or traveling freely, it is recommended to live here. Gangmenling Park has a beach to play, and you can also climb high and look far. It is worth a visit.

GGuest UserMy first time in Haikou, and I chose Backpacker's Ten Years (Qilou Old Street branch) – it totally exceeded my expectations. It's located on the first floor of the Yedao Comprehensive Building on Longkun North Road, really close to Evergreen Park, Qilou Old Street, and Century Bridge. Taxis to anywhere aren't expensive, and there's a bus stop right outside, making it super convenient for solo travelers.
As soon as I walked in, the common area impressed me – a mix of Nanyang vintage style with a touch of island vibe. The lobby is spacious and bright, with a pool table, book bar, and coffee corner. It was so relaxing to sit there at night, enjoy the AC, and chat. It's easy to meet cyclists on island tours and backpackers from all over. The dorm area requires a key card for entry and is separated by gender. The 8-bed dorms are spacious, and the lockers are big. The brand-name bedding and fresh air system, combined with the powerful air conditioning, made for a great sleep in Hainan's weather. The bathrooms are separate for men and women, with wet and dry areas, no strange odors, and even washing machines and dryers. The women's area has a vanity mirror and small items – the attention to detail is excellent.
But the biggest plus was the people. The front desk staff were lovely; check-in and check-out were fast, and they were ready to help with directions, food recommendations, and luggage storage, just like having a local friend to rely on. The price is friendly for students and budget travelers. With clean beds, a sense of security, and a great social atmosphere, the value for money is fantastic – I'd recommend it without hesitation! I'm definitely planning to check out their other branches in different cities!

ZZhihencuoguole123Close to Shenzhou Station, not many dining options nearby, but you can order KFC for delivery. The hostel is in a self-built house and very spacious. The common area on the first floor is huge, and there's even a hot water dispenser! However, I felt a bit scared walking back alone at night as a female, as the hostel is located in a village. Also, I was in an upper bunk with no curtain, while the lower bunks had them. I suggest installing curtains for the upper bunks too, as the light can be too bright at night. Getting a ride-hailing car to Shenzhou Peninsula, Shimei Bay, and Xinglong Town costs about 20-25 RMB.

GGuest UserThis place offers excellent value for money. The room is small, but it's beautiful and comfortable, with a fantastic view of the sea and Dadonghai Bay. The shower is stable and always has hot water. The hostess was incredibly helpful with everything. The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the beach. There's a balcony with chairs and a table on the 8th floor. The mattress is firm, but the pillows are comfortable. While there's no TV, there's a projector. The only minor drawback is that casting your screen or using YouTube from your phone or laptop requires a paid service, and Google services aren't available. I'd recommend this place to anyone, as long as a firm mattress doesn't bother you and you don't mind not having YouTube or a traditional TV.

The atmosphere is very good, there are many friends who can sing for free with microphones at night, I met a lot of friends here, and they will organize werewolf killing at night, so there are 20 or 30 stray cats in his house, you can pet the cats at will, and there is also a big dog named Maomao. The dormitory environment is also warm, and you can also sign up for paddle board surfing here

AAli TirmiziA nice hotel overall! Very clean and near to the beach. We enjoyed morning breeze, sunset and midnight activities. Food around the area was awesome and was accessible from the hotel. We chose Standard Delux room. Bedding was clean but the room was little smelly. Once we opened the air conditioner it got better. We booked for 3 people but we got 2 towels and 2 pairs of slippers. Those who go should take their cups and room slippers. The best part of the hotel was its closeness to the beach. That was what that made our trip highly enjoyable.
