Its a pod. Ideal for solo. There are many workers when I arrived cleaning (quietly, discreetly and professionally), cleaning the toilets, showers, pods etc.... So the its super clean and fresh. I also had to get to Gambir Station to catcg a train. Tried hailling a transport from the roadside was quoted a higher tourist price. Got back to Bobobox, received help from Denny and Joe, who so kindly help called and arranged a transport for me at a fair price at peak hour 5:30pm. Joe, the Bobobox staff even accompanied me down to the street and waited for the transport to arrive and instructed the driver my destination and that I am going to take a train and needs to arrived at a specified time. It's an absolute beautiful place. I booked it in a hurry before traveling to Indonesia on the bus, and I had no idea how even it look like, however it was a surprise, super futuristic, everything is controlled within the app, I booked for another day and simply chat the hotel through their live chat and boom my booking has been confirmed and the electricity came back to my cabin. All in all, I highly recommend it, i think choosing any other place is a sin.

Great location in the old town. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning reasonable and the shower had plenty of hot water with good pressure. I didn’t realise at booking that the window in my room overlooked the busy Main Street, so traffic noise kept me awake for most of the night. The breakfast situation needs to be clarified. On their website there was mention of a new menu and several photographs. When I booked my room through their own website, it was unclear as to whether or not it covered breakfast. On my first morning, there was food cooking on the stove, but no mention of breakfast so eventually, I asked at reception. I was told that I needed to order breakfast the night before. It would have been great to have been told this when I checked in! The food cooking on the stove appeared to be for the staff. Not really a hostel atmosphere.

A lot of transportation options nearby. The check in was smooth. The dorm room was spacious and clean. Wifi was somewhat weak in room but better at the communal area. I liked the cozy communal area near reception, but it was full of mosquitos at night.

Overall the place is okay, from clean rooms, cold AC, clean and spacious toilets too. But what makes it annoying is that it's quite noisy when people walk past the front of our room, and the next room makes noise when they hit the dividing walls.

This is a clean and bright hostel. The beds are comfortable and the wifi is fast. The staff are adorable young people who all speak fantastic english and in one case dutch! very helpful supervisor who resolved my issue when i'd booked another night but on the wrong date. she swapped the date for me at no extra cost. so i stayed yet another night in return! there are good facilities, a small gym and a nice chill out room with widescreen tv and PlayStation. think beanbags and A/C - heaven! You are close to a load of street food vendors in the side alley otherwise it's a ten minute walk round the block to plenty of restaurants. a good place to start your stay in jakarta if you arrive at gambir. btw also close to national gallery (which is excellent) and the national museum - also great!!

The hotel is easy to find. Early check in you have to pay idr 50k per hour. That is expensive. Spring bed not good. It could be old and noisy from outside. You have to deposit idt 100k. Parking space is limited. For one day is ok but long stayed not recommended.
