"This is the second time I stayed at the Shochikumei Hotel. The hotel seems to be a renovation of the former workers' dormitory. It is within a ten-minute walk from Nagoya Station. It is two stops away from Sakae Station, and the transportation is very convenient.
The hotel room is small, but very clean, and disposable toothbrushes and slippers are provided.
The bathroom and toilet are public, relatively clean and sanitary. I will stay here again next time, mainly because it is cost-effective."

Aakko3The location is excellent, just a seven or eight-minute walk to Nagoya Station. There's a Lawson and a Sukiya right next door. By the way, the K-Books nearby is really great for browsing, with many good deals or prices similar to the market rate.

**Building Overview**
* The front desk is on the 1st floor.
* Lockers and shower rooms are on the 3rd floor.
* There are 7 individual shower rooms.
* Shelves are available for luggage.
* Lockers are large enough for suitcases and large backpacks.
* Inside the locker, you'll find: 1 large towel, 1 face towel, 1 bath mat, and slippers.
* To open the locker, you'll tap the card you received at check-in.
* If it doesn't respond well, try holding the card from the bottom!
* The lounge wear provided includes 3/4 sleeve tops and long pants.
* Floors 4-6 are for female capsules.
* Floors 7-9 are for male capsules.
* Capsules are equipped with Japanese-style power outlets and USB ports.
* You are advised to eat and drink in the 10th-floor lounge.
* The lounge has sofas and a counter table that seats 9 people.
**Food & Drink**
* Meals should be consumed on the 10th floor.
* Eating and drinking inside the capsules is not allowed.
**Wi-Fi**
* Wi-Fi is available.
* The ID and password are written on the wall of your accommodation floor, so you can do research or work.
**Check-out**
* Check-out is completed by returning the card you received at check-in and the lounge wear.

GGuest UserThe location is good. The room was clean and nice, but the shared toilet was built into the wall and was at an angle. I'm not very tall so I was able to use it, but it would be difficult for taller people. As expected, the area under the toilet was in a terrible state in the morning. I hope it's only on the floor where I stayed.

- during my 10 hour stay, the men’s dorm was only about 10% occupied YET the front desk placed someone to the left of my bed AND another person in the capsule to my right as well !! The question is WHY would they do that ?? So I was subjected to hearing walking/ coughing/ etc.. for at least 2 hrs until I finally fell asleep.
Note: earplugs are offered for free at front desk but I didn’t use them for fear of not being able to hear my alarm clock. ⏰

GGuest UserThe hotel's hot spring and shower facilities are excellent, and the other guests are very considerate. However, it's a bit inconvenient that you have to take off your shoes right at the entrance on the first floor, and there were some small prickles on the carpet that bothered my feet. But I respect that this might be a local custom.

KkalisiaSGI initially thought I had booked a regular room, but it turned out to be a dormitory-style capsule instead. If you’re traveling light, this place may suit you, but there isn’t much space to store luggage. There’s no locker or safe provided.
Amenities are not complimentary, each item, including bottled water, costs 100 yen. Upon checkout, you’re required to remove the bedsheet and pillowcase yourself. Also, note that the showers are only available until 10:30 pm.
Personally, I found the place unsuitable for my needs and decided to move to another proper hotel nearby.
One more thing to be aware of: the property is located near a temple, and the surrounding area has no streetlights at night. Walking back via that route can feel quite eerie, so it’s safer to stick to the main road along the river.

YYIT SINNever disappointed with Japan hostel. Clean, quiet, organised etc. This hostel is very strategic location in Osu (大须) Shotengai Shopping Street and having nearby train station. It is also walking distance to Sakae area. A must visit Osu plus stay for solo Travellers. Afternoon shopping can put groceries at hostel and continue shopping again. The instructions in English is very clear, the bed in room is very clean etc.

GGuest UserSmall and cozy hotel. Close to Nagoya Station. Sadly, hotel’s service was poor. No toilets and showers inside rooms, only public ones. Rooms are clean, there are some amenities. Recommend only for business trips, not holiday trips.
There is a pretty good takoyaki place around the corner.
