Great place for family and friends

As a regular guest, we like so much Saadiyat Rotana. From the moment we enter in the lobby, Mr. Henry is already waiting for us. Ahmed is a friendly man at the recepcion , he gave us a nice room. Everybody treats you like you are family. The breakfast is very good. You can eat outside. Dinner can be taken in several restaurants, outside also. Thank you chef Mohammed from Marrakech. Also for Leigh, Repali and Gilbert.The swimmingpool is very nice. Our friends Thilina, Pradeep and Keigh were taking care for us. All directors came and gave us good advice. Really you all made that our family went home with tears in the eyes. We will miss you, you all were so kind. We certainly will come back.

A lovely stay with our family at the Rotana. The hotel is situated on a beautiful natural beach with the most amazing colour of the sea ive ever seen! Kids loved the beach - lots of sun shades and chairs however annoying people go down before breakfast and place their items in them to ‘reserve’ the best ones at the front - the hotel staff should remove these as it’s obvious when it happens. The beach however and service was very good with water and beach towels promptly delivered. The pool was great warm and our kids loved it - large with a safe water level for our 6 year old for half of it - lifeguards on duty too which helps you relax. Service at pool was good/great too. Kids club which our 2 and 6 year old used was without a doubt excellent- the staff were welcoming and kind and the place was spotless! A pool and playground round the back, a lazy river and a cool fun indoor area grouped by age was inside. The staff made every effort to make sure the children were happy with regular whatsapp updates for me (relaxing on the beach) and lots of fun outdoor activities aswell as arts and crafts inside. We used the babysitters from the kids club too who were brilliant and came to our room one night to look after them when the kids were tired (extra charge). Couldn't fault them! Housekeeping excellent our rooms were kept spotless and tidy as was the hotel itself. Breakfast was good - tiny gluten free section disappointing! Nice they tried with separate toaster but some unappealing bread and gf packaged pancakes doesn't really cut it especially when the chef next to it is making fresh pancakes, waffles but cant manage to make gf ones. However id taken my own granola and the omelette chef was fab and lots of fresh fruit ! Dinner we ate at turtle bay and the Italian both superb great service and excellent gluten free options pasta, pizza bases etc - one night we ate at the buffet at sim sim and i have to mention the head chef here who asked me what I would like and that he would specifically make me a gluten free meal which he did ( after showing me what was gf on the buffet and offering sushi etc) he then make me some delicious fish and even bought out a gf pudding without me even asking -made my evening absolute 10/10 to him! The rest of my family throughly enjoyed all the meals on offer and the kids section especially on the little red train counter. A couple of brilliant waiters here wish i knew their names to mention them - just went above and beyond! My only gripe would be we went all inclusive and i wouldn't do that again. Its not all inclusive only certain items were included So we paid extra for items on the menu we wanted and got no discount for the money we had already paid towards it - we also paid extra for wine as the wine included was ‘okay’ and i like nice wine! - id rather just pay for the food and drink as we wanted it rather than pay for an all inclusive but its not all included! Very nice team at the kids club. Girls are supportive, helpful and provide a good entertainment for kids Our daughter was very happy to spend time there and would like to be back in the future. Definitely recommend to visit this place if you have children up to 12)

During my current stay, I experienced the most stressful day of staying in this hotel. I’ve booked a room with HB package like what I always do, but this time I got it from an offer that only allow the buffet dinner. I expressed my preference for a set menu instead of the buffet option to the hotel staff at the front desk. They said it won’t be possible cause it’s offer. Which I truly understand. I informed the receptionist that we are willing to pay extra for supplement. She told me that she will call the restaurant and advise me. An hour later the restaurant call me to say that it’s only the receptionist can do that. Another call I received says its not possible. And so on, and so on… After dipping in the pool I went to the reception and spoke to different person and he said I need to pay 216 extra each if I want to get set menu. I agree with that , I said I will come back to get my phone and pay. When I come back there’s a different person that had no idea what happened, so I explained to him the situation, told him that I need to pay the supplement as per his college. As usual, he answered he will need to speak to someone. Different girl come to me, again, she said she will speak to someone. She said maybe the manager will allow me without paying extra. So I’ve waited. When she come back she said it won’t be possible, So I said please just let me pay so we can finish this. When I paid I asked for the receipt that I can show to restaurant. I told her I want to show it to the restaurant, so they won’t ask me too much question. She said system is updated and they can see that in the restaurant. (take note: she regretted to give me a receipt) . And the best part was , we went to restaurant. The receptionist can’t find my booking which I personally booked like what I always do on that place (amazing restaurant btw, that’s why I always come back there) . after standing for few mins they finally found table for us. When I asked for HB menu, the hostess says they can not give me cause we only have HB for buffet. (boom…) I told her in a calmly way “I just want to have a proper and nice dinner, can you please call the hotel reception and speak to them” then she come back with the HB menu without apologizing. As a guest, I believe it is reasonable to expect that my dietary preferences and requirements are accommodated. I didn’t ask to change my booking. I know I have to pay extra if I want my set menu. I paid for HB with buffet and also paid with my set menu. I prefer a more personalized dining experience that the buffet. The lack of clarity and responsiveness from the staffs has made it difficult for me to have my request fulfilled However, even with that experience I can honestly tell that Hotel is amazing. Even if I ALWAYS and CONSISTENTLY had a disappointing check in experience. I still recommend this if you’re looking for a hotel with a nice pool, beach and fantastic facilities. Fabulous staycation with my husband. There was an issue with our dates upon checking but after some reassurance, the manager on duty, I believe his name was Theyerer? found us a room. All staff were just amazing. The head chef walked through all dinner items with me identifying everything containing seafood (allergy). The bed was extremely comfy, beautiful big bath. The highligh however was the Lavazza coffee machine and pods in the room!!! Big selling point for me. Overall, the best stay we've had in the UAE throughout our 10 years here.
