It was his birthday and one year old, so I decided to stay at the suite room Tori no Ma. First of all, matcha and Western-style service after completing the reception! There were other drinks such as coffee, so instead of going straight to the room, I relaxed a little while enjoying the waterfall that I could see from the inn. And the room was a very private space, spacious, beautiful and stylish. The guest room also had an open-air bath, so that was a deciding factor in choosing this inn. Although it was a weekday, there were quite a few people, and I felt that it was a popular inn. The dish I was looking forward to! It wasn't the color of the room, but I was able to relax without worrying about my surroundings in a private room. Speaking of Fukushima, Aizu's horsemeat sashimi! I thoroughly enjoyed this with local sake, and ended up ordering a lot of additional dishes. I think the appetizer had a lot of strange dishes. If you don't like to eat or have a lot of likes and dislikes, you may not be able to eat all of them. That's what I think. I really wanted to prepare a dessert plate for his birthday as a surprise, but I was told that such a service was not accepted, so I was disappointed. There was a whole cake service, but I wanted to enjoy the food at the inn, so I didn't want to leave it because I couldn't eat it all, so the dessert plate was good. It's not like we're responding to changes, but it seems like we're doing a set service within a set schedule. In the bath, you can relax while watching the waterfall and feeling the sound. The bath service was also substantial. Also, projection mapping was held, and I went to see it with excitement because I thought it was very rare. There were a lot of people who came to see it because it was only screened once. I got the impression that there were many young couples. It was a very nice stay overall. Thank you for this time.

Large, clean rooms and nice onsen with outdoor bath on the waterfall (be careful of the steps going down). But the attraction is Dinner On-the-Riverside-Waterfall! What a treat! The food paired with sake is delicious, and starting the appetizers before sunset & ending a great meal after dark was really remarkable experience. The fresh river air, total mountainside of solid trees, sitting at the upper section of the modern restaurant dangling our feet in the hot mineral-water Foot Bath is pure relaxation! Make sure your reservation is for half board (Japanese Dinner & Breakfast) ON THE RIVER @ Kawadoko (there are different meal plans). About 17000yen /person with grilled steak and local sweet water fish, aiyu.

We visited Aizuwakamatsu at the national holiday weekend so there were limited options to us in this famous onsen town, Hagishiyama. We wanted a more modern hotel, and while the shots of the room look good on their website, the reality is that it is much smaller than I had expected. Though the room looked new, the bathroom was a disappointment, small and shabby. With two large beds in the room, that leaves little space for moving around. And they try hard to squeeze all essential items of an onsen hotel room into the smallest space possible, including placing the vanity unit in the living room opposite the sleeping platform, sharing space with a kettle and drinking water glasses. There is a shoe stand and a folding screen in-between the toilet and bathroom, which is hugely strange and inconvenient. Ours is a 12-tatami room, which I expect would be good for 3 people, but the reality is that it is so cramped that one would not want to spend much time in the room. Perhaps that’s the reason why the hotel provided a lot of public sitting areas. Yes, for guests to admire the magnificent view of the mountain stream, but also to stay out of the uncomfortable room. The room was a huge disappointment but there are some nice sides of the hotel. Dinner was really good; we had window seats facing the waterfall and the Aizu beef was very delicious. The public onsets, especially the outdoor ones, are nice, situated just next to the mountain stream. All in all, for the US680 I paid for three, it was not good value for money.

The service in Japan is really impeccable. The bus departing from Aizu Station is not at the nearest Higashiyama Onsen Station. The bus driver helped us contact the hotel, and the hotel’s shuttle bus came to pick us up. Although it was snowing that day, Feeling warm! The hotel’s hot spring is indoor and outdoor, and the toiletries are very complete and clean. There is snow floating outside and the outdoor hot spring ♨️ is really enjoyable. Regardless of management, hygiene, and the makeup of the service staff, this is a very good hotel!

From Shirakawa to Aizu / Ashinomaki Onsen on Route 289! The inn is ”Kawaon” in the Marumine annex. We reserved a twin with an open-air bath overlooking the mountain stream of the Aga River. I didn't expect much because there were many inns along the Aizu Nishi Kaido Road, but it was a surprisingly large hotel and was a nice hotel. The purpose was to relax, so I checked in early and enjoyed the open-air bath while watching the snow and the snowy scenery of the valley. Dinner is a Japanese course in a private room. Each is hand-held and delicious above the level. Although it is a big hotel, I rarely passed by other guests because it was a weekday of Corona. It may have been good again. It's a pity that the bath in the main building was under maintenance and could not be used. 々
