Listen, I don’t usually mind Fairfield Inns. I appreciate the lower cost for a standard good restaurant. But I had a pretty terrible experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful and try to accommodate me but the problem is that there was no cure for the problem. Let’s just say you need to stay away from the 2nd floor. The first room I got smelled like mold and the mini fridge made an awful hissing noise, which I knew would be a problem for a light sleeper like myself. But the smell was the worst. So I asked to get a different room, which the gentleman helping me was kind enough to search for but could only find a room on the same floor. So I went to my new room hoping it would be better. But nope. It was a 2nd floor issue. The room smell was just as bad. But at this point there were no other rooms open, according to the front desk. So I settled in that dreadful room, with a splitting headache from the awful smell. I even brought some co-workers to come smell the room and make sure I wasn’t going crazy. They were staying on the 4th floor and had no issue with smell, but immediately recognized that my room smelled awful. Now, the rooms were fine, although there’s barely any decor (maybe because they ended up putting me in an accessible room and they might not decorate it as usual there), but it was sterile and I felt like I was staying in a hospital. To make matters worse, my 3rd night there my mini fridge started making a hissing noise in the middle of the night. So loud I had to just unplug the fridge from the wall. Please get higher quality mini fridges! So, no, I don’t recommend this hotel. The breakfast was fine. I always enjoy the waffle maker but you can get those in most similar hotels.

The scenery is very good, and the corner windows are very satisfying, especially at night when the lights outside the windows are very impressive. The room is clean and tidy, a little small, but the view is good, these are not important

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency on our wedding night was phenomenal! We were hoping for maybe some champagne or something special since it was our wedding night, but it was still a great experience overall. We had an amazing view and great service throughout the night there. Would definitely stay again!

In the words of Bette Davis, “What a Dump.” In its favor, we had a nice view of Lady Bird Lake from our window, which was pretty to wake up to, and the water pressure in the shower was great! The bathroom seemed partially updated and was pretty decent. Free parking, too. There were a few HBO channels on tv. However, the hotel is very dated and not very clean looking. The indoor parking garage was filthy and was dimly lit. Didn’t feel very safe in there, so we parked in the outside lot whenever possible. No greeting from the night time desk clerk when we came back from dinner, as she seemed to purposely be avoiding eye contact with us (she wasn’t on the phone or busy with someone else). The elevators were very smudgy and too dark, also. The beds slumped a bit in the middle, the linens were old and tired looking, and the chair in the corner looked worse than some I’ve put by the curb. An old leak on the ceiling was poorly patched up, and there were stains on the desk chair, carpet and walls. The door to the adjoining room didn’t provide enough sound proofing, as I heard our neighbor’s phone convo loud and clear. The pool area didn’t look very inviting, as there were no umbrellas or trees to block the strong sun. We wanted to stay in downtown Austin to be within walking distance to things, so this was the least expensive option. But not much could be walked to from there, and the area it was in was a bit sketchy, so we ended up taking Ubers, anyway. We had booked our last night at a hotel in the Arboretum area, because this one went up to a ridiculously high amount for Friday night (music festival in town), and it ended up being just as convenient to take an Uber from there (15-20 mins) to downtown. Plus, the hotel was much nicer and way less expensive. Live and learn.

The check-in and out was smooth. Our stay is ok, the room is quite small but bed is comfy. The breakfast option was nice but the next day, we woke up a bit late, we joined buffet breakfast at 8:30AM but most of the food were gone and was not replaced. The location is good, near N. Lamar Ave and I-35 which is accesible to Downtown Austin.

We pulled in about 2:00 am. We were tired and pleased to find a place near the airport at a reasonable rate. Our plan was to relocate to a better/different place in the morning. It turned out that the staff and facility were so good, we extended our stay for a few more days. A huge THANK YOU to the staff at the Wyndham Airport location. A great value because of the great staff!

GGuest UserI visited this hotel in February, it's nice to be in a clean and comfortable room. The bed linen is ironed, the staff is wonderful, they helped with the settlement. The room is very spacious, there is a big TV. Cool gym. In general, I liked the atmosphere very much!

GGuest UserThe hotel has amazing service. Loved the fact that they have live music in the restaurant/bar. It was great for my teenage daughter to enjoy it with us. Tanya at the restaurant was outstanding. She was so busy but was kind and efficient. The hotel location is great. You have all kinds of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Of course, we loved the late-night visit to the Cheesecake factory. The room was clean, well-decorated and huge compared to other hotels.

GGuest UserJackie radiated warmth and professional courtesy. She treated not only the guest, but her fellow employees with kindness and a positive pleasant attitude. She wished us good morning and smiled. She asked how she could make my day better. Jackie also treated her fellow employees with the same demeanor. What a shining jewel and asset she is to this hotel. Because of Jackie, I will be coming back to Austin and have picked this exact same hotel, because of her leader ship skills and her ability to make the guest. Feel welcome and almost at home. She is above a 10+ employee. She deserves a huge raise and benefits for keeping this hotel going. The other employees at the front desk should watch and learn from Jackie.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel because I had an early flight out after staying 2 days. Upon checking in I noticed a few tiny ants on my bathroom counter and killed them but didn't think much about it. When I woke up in the morning there were tiny ants all over the counter including on my toothbrush and razor and all over the sink. I went to the front desk and told them about the ant problem, showed them pictures and asked to change rooms. They gave me another room which I am happy to say didn't have any ants. I was surprised that there was no offer of any compensation, either in discount or points when I brought this problem to the front desk. I did eat breakfast one morning in the hotel restaurant. I got the eggs, pancakes, bacon and potatoes. Everything was fine except the potatoes were cold. Also, the time it took to get my food from when it was ordered was slow. If you look at the satellite view there is a way to walk to the terminal in about 15 minutes if you don't want to take the free shuttle. I do like that the hotel sent me a text with a link to track the shuttle when I called from the airport and needed to be picked up. I probably would not stay here again since downtown is just a 20 min ride away.

GGuest UserI was extremely upset to see a movie with nudity and a scene of a nude man and a woman having sex (AKA porn) on the lobby / breakfast room television. I was even more upset when after asking the the manager, Diana, to change the channel she came into the area and I instead of just changing the channel to something more appropriate, asked the man seated behind me if it was okay for her to change the channel as if something like that was up for a vote among guests instead of hotel policy. To say I was angry at the way she mis-handled this would be an understatement . Despite the fact I stayed at this Hampton at least a half dozen times last year or so , I won’t be returning. Keep porn off public televisions and teach managers how to deal with matters of corporate policy would be my suggestion Hampton/Hilton. Otherwise the location is good and the rooms are clean. Too bad they allow unclean programming to be played on their television in the public area. Thankfully no children were in there at the time this occurred.

Close to many destinations from bars, clubs and restaurants, grocery stories (target, Whole Foods) Down the street from Franklins BEST brisket in Austin 😝 Friendly check in , pool is perfect for summer weather! Gave cleanliness a 4 bc toilet didn’t not work first day and when send plumber to fix he has to go out and buy a part that needed replacement due to not being maintained. Took half a day to get fixed and couldn’t use restroom to 💩 After new part was installed , toiled flushed and at times got stuck so we had to turn of the water from bottom of toilet and turn back in for feces to flush 😩 Other than that, we were closed to many locations assessable on lime light scooter.
