We stayed here for three nights, on a trip with our two service dogs. We reserved our room two months ago because we had planned on going to a drag boat reunion, which ended up being canceled due to the pandemic, not a big deal. We arrived, and paid the 100 dollar deposit, which I paid in cash, but the front desk lady was rude and said that she wanted a newer 100 dollar bill instead of the one that i handed her, which wasn't damaged, it just wasn't new. Other than that, check-in was easy. We reserved a handicap room, but when we got in, the room wasn't clean, towels were dirty, and handicap rooms never use bath tubs, they are usually equipped with a walk in shower. Size of the room was decent for the money. But every night, there were some VERY questionable people in the parking lot, and a homeless man living in his car in their parking lot. When I brought it to the management attention, they said they felt bad for the guy,and don't get me wrong, I feel for these people, but they shouldn't allow homeless to camp in their parking lot. Secondly, all three nights, there were people walking the halls ALL NIGHT long, having unauthorized guests in their rooms, etc. But at the front desk when checking in, they make it clear that NO visitors are allowed, etc. We barely slept due to the constant commotion of people going in and out of the rooms .....lastly when we checked out we left at 6am, but they said we would have to come back at 930am to get our deposit back, but we couldn't stay that long!!! Basically their reception employees are rude, and don't apply their rules of no visitors, they don't care about your safety, they don't adhere to handicapped accessible guidelines, and they need to train their maids to do a better cleaning job, especially when there's a pandemic going on right now. My advice, stay in a motel 6, pay a little bit more per night and stay in a nicer place

I have stayed with ESA in several locations and enjoyed my stay. At this location, I felt that my privacy was violated and I was not treated respectfully as a customer. I was charged a $100 deposit at check in that was not returned to me and my bank debit card was not accepted for payment. I was asked to pay cash throughout my stay. The room had carpet and laminate flooring damage at check in. People entered my room while I was away and management reported to me that my room was not clean to their standards.I ended my stay early as I was uncomfortable extending my stay there. I left the room clean. I will not visit this location in the future and I would not recommend to other travelers.

The breakfast was good, the facilities were relatively new, there were plenty of parking spaces at the door, there were several gas stations around, and there were few people in the neighborhood. It was a quiet little city with a good attitude at the front desk.

First room on 6/20/22 rm# 230 was terrible I already up loaded pictures (dark...loud... scary... dirty)... I asked to be switched to another room... and the front desk clerk said there aren't anymore available rooms left... so I tried to check out the same day that I checked in 6/20/22.... then the man at the front desk told me they have a room available all of a sudden! So I stayed and rm #221 ways much better but I did check out the next day early morning 6/21/22 but I was paid up until 6/24/22.... today is 7/1/22 and I have yet to be refunded my money for the rest of the days back... they only refunded me my $100 deposit... I am a traveling nurse and I felt so much bias to where I would never recommend or stay there ever again... I ended up staying at another wyndham establishment which was basic but way better! I called for a whole week straight to ask for my refund that I paid for the whole week... they told me I had to talk to a manager but none has ever called me back or wasn't in when I called!

We stayed here on a planned trip home. We stayed using our Holiday Inn Rewards. As usual, we were given a less desirable room. The room was on the 2nd floor and the window overlooked a walled-off rooftop that contained A/C units. There was no view at all. The lamp next to the couch didn't turn on. I finally figured out that it was unplugged and pulled out the couch to access the outlet. And when we went to use the refrigerator, it was warm and not working. We were very disappointed in the room and it was by far the worst HIE we stayed at on this trip. We stayed at 7 properties total. The property is under remodel, but we were told that the rooms were all completed. The bathroom was modern, and the pillows were perfect. The breakfast did include a Belgium waffle maker which is rare at any HIE anymore. So, I did enjoy that. And the girl at the front desk was super friendly. The final observation we made was that the pictures shown of the hotel do not show the spiked fence that surrounds the property. They have padlocked the 2 pedestrian gate entries off of the sidewalk along with one of the car entries. There is only one way to get into the property. It made us wonder about the safety of the area. Also, there is no crosswalk to get across to the other side of a 4-lane highway which is where most of the entertainment and restaurants are. You need to walk a block in either direction to access a light to safely cross.

This review happen during CoVID (Feb 2022). My wife and I where visiting friends in Bakersfield. We spent one night. The hotel is located right off the freeway in an industrial area with other hotels located around it. The area around the hotel has a lot of fast food restaurants and some sit downs. But with that said we had a pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The check in process was quick and easy. They have a little shop next to concierge where you can but chips, soda, and candy. The lobby was nice and the restaurant was open (Happy to see it was open). The room was nice, clean, and with plenty of room. For one night in Bakersfield it was perfect. We would stay here again.
