The Royal Pita Maha

Ubud Bali|0.9km from Ayung Dewata Rafting
Stayed here as a family of four and shared two villas. The rooms were absolutely MASSIVE and could've definitely accommodated 4 people easily. This was of great value and very affordable and I would've paid double what trip.com was asking for these villas. The pool was so large and the villa and pool overlooked the rainforests down below. Absolutely incredible views. Staff were friendly and all wore facemasks with plenty of hand sanitisation stations near the lobby and restaurant. Floating breakfast was around $22AUD and we highly recommend having it ordered to your villa at 9AM as that's when the sun position is the best (any earlier and the pool would be in shade). The common pool is quite nice as well but it's quite deep at 2.1m. The sides and bottom of the pool are also quite rough so be careful not to stub your toe or scrape your ankles. The resort is massive and leads down to the Ayung river with another restaurant next to the river but it wasn't open unfortunately. The location is great as it has beautiful views of the luscious rainforest, but it's not centrally located in Ubud. Rather, it's located in Sayan which is a 10-13 minute drive from Ubud's centre. We also highly recommend dining at the Sayan House which is 5 minutes down the road from the resort. As a bit of background, this resort is owned by the grandson of Ubud's king and so the styling of the resort is less 'western' and more 'traditional'. The resort is beautiful nonetheless and we will be back.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location great and near to Ubud center. The villa was so old unfortunately, there’s water coming from the bathroom selling and the smell is horrible because of old wood and humidity compilations! The bugs yes everywhere, I understand it’s in the middle of forest but there’s ants coming from the wood wall! Also the lights where so weak and depressing! The villa kind of dark ! There was a public swimming pool also, and we had private pool at our villa but it’s so cold due to no Sun ray can reach it( indoor pool) . The message really amazing with big open window front the forest! The view from the villa was phenomenal! They have one restaurant but with delicious food and clean! The gym was closed! But there’s a good news for you! They’re doing a renovation, it’ll take approximately 1 year to finish all villas! So for me I believe I’ll come back for sure after the renovation!

I recently returned to Pramana for a second visit and it was just as impressive as the first. Tucked away in a jungle with a river view, it's a quiet, picturesque retreat, yet only a 15-20 minute drive from the bustling center of Ubud. The staff here are the real stars – always friendly, helpful, and making sure your stay is comfortable. Cleanliness is top-notch throughout the resort, from the well-kept rooms to the communal areas. Morning yoga sessions in the serene surroundings are a highlight, providing a peaceful start to the day. The spa is excellent too, offering a range of relaxing treatments in a tranquil setting. The food and drinks at the hotel were also good, every meal I had was very delicious. Hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to Ubud center, making it easy to explore the area. Ideal for couples, this place offers a romantic and secluded atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Overall, Pramana Watu Kurung offers a wonderful blend of tranquility, comfort, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in Bali.

In the farmland and the woods opposite, the scenery is good. This time a two-bedroom pool villa was set. The price is not cheap, but the room has a musty smell. It is estimated that in such a humid environment, the roof is straw, so it is inevitable. Three nights each day including afternoon desserts one day I forgot to bring them. Breakfast is ordered by the menu, but there is really nothing to eat. It is a basket of different bread, a piece of fruit, a glass of juice, and then an American, Indonesian, or mixed staple. I order it for three days. Indonesian fried rice, it is no problem to eat full, but breakfast is not comparable to super five-star hotels, but the price is definitely not cheap. Fortunately, there are not many people who can really incubate the hotel quietly.

On the day of check-in, there was no hot water in the room. The front desk responded very quickly and changed the room immediately. The next day, I kept asking if it was OK. There were two brief power outages of about ten minutes. Children are charged RMB 250 for extra bed breakfast and afternoon tea per day. The environment is really good and the swimming pool is beautiful. Almost every dish in the restaurant was delicious, and I didn’t go out for two days. All in all the hotel is worth staying at.

Divine hotel w/amazing villas, 2 pools including a jungle pool which is so out of the world. We stayed at a Villa overlooking rice fields, so therapeutic watching roosters walking all over the fields. They’ve Netflix n Amazon Prime which is the best night entertainment after dinner
