Everything looks magic and brings us in an old Chinese movie around here. The simple and probably old renovation of the hotel respects this particularity, offering a correct comfort. The isolation is not optimum but I would not expect more from any other place in the town. We asked for the hotel restaurants and they gave us a coupon for one out (we’ve been there, it was really nice). The choice of breakfast (between western and Chinese) is great. Pickup service is perfect, very fast and convenient!!! The staff, especially Bae, is very nice and helpful. Our train was cancelled and they immediately took care of us, giving a new room (a suite, very beautiful and comfortable).

The hotel is well located. Near the Wangfujing boulevard and the Tian’anmen square. Bus 111 stops right across from the hotel and it takes you to Jingshan park to have a bird’s eye view of the Forbidden City. The hotel breakfast was OK for Chinese standards, though it lacked cheese and ham variety. The room was spacious enough and although the bathroom needs some repairs it is well cleaned. Room service was efficient and the food wasn’t bad at all! -although westerners without Chinese language skills might struggle a bit to order food by phone. Staff is attentive, polite and friendly. Overall, we liked this hotel and our Beijing visit.

We chose Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing for our last night in Beijing. As soon as we entered the hotel, we felt the warm reception of the staff. They accompanied us to the room, introduced us to the hotel's facilities and gave us some gifts, which made me feel In the strong Spring Festival atmosphere, we tasted fruits and desserts and then went to the restaurant to enjoy the set meal provided by the hotel. It was by no means a perfunctory free snack, but a full table. The taste was also very delicious. My husband and I came here in the evening The long-awaited bar was also very delicious. Later we had a great time and ordered several special cocktails. Every service staff here was full of enthusiasm. Finally, special thanks to Alex, Nana and Lenny. The warm reception and the souvenirs given to us were really attentive. In the future, I will still choose Mandarin Oriental as my first choice. In hotel, You can smell smoke in hotel corridor.And I found a cigarette butt on lifting lobby. That means the hotel don't have a well management. The last thing I would like to complain is efficiency. My booking didn't include meal.Sometimes I ordered food delivery myself. The delivery didn't pass to me after it had been arrived 20 mins. I called to frontdesk. They just said they were busy at that moment. Would give it to me later. About 15 mins waiting, I decided to take the delivery myself. They put it on a easy take way, and didn't check wtih my room number or my identity.That means others can take my delivery easily.These happened three times. Because of this bad experience, I cannot trust Manxin anymore.
