Arrived to check in around 5.30pm with 2 very tired young children. 1st impressions not great. Entrance stank of dog and cigarette smoke. Woman unlocked door for us to get in, looked at us as if we were aliens. 'hi we've got a reservation for 4, Under adele cotton' 'oh well I don't have any spare rooms' she replied bluntly. She went round to the entrance window while I pulled up the booking on ***********. Showed her. 'I'm not saying it's your fault, I don't have any rooms I'm fully booked.' was her response. I stood there in the entrance hall, my children very upset. She rang another woman and put her on speaker phone for me to talk to. Neither helpful at all. Both women blamed *********** saying this happens all the time and that I need to ring them to sort it out. Original woman showed me a message on her phone it read something along the lines of WE'RE SORRY TO HEAR YOU CANNOT ACCOMODATE THIS BOOKING.... PLEASE CALL US WITHIN 30 MINUTES TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER AND FOR US TO FIND THE GUEST ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION. Clearly they had not rang them and had zero interest in our welfare as their guests. So we went and stood outside and spent 20 minutes getting through to *********** customer services in the cold. The woman walked right by us, clearly not giving a crap we had paid for a room. We decided to find somewhere to eat and sit down whilst talking to ***********. They confirmed it was the hotel that cancelled the booking and should have informed us. They were extremely helpful in finding us somewhere else to stay. MY Advice: STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! IT'S CHEAP FOR A REASON. THEY NEED LEARN HOW TO RUN A HOTEL.

Host was lovely. Very easy check in. Room fine for what we paid. Very easy to come and go and great value for money! Also tea/coffee/kettle and milk in room. Only negatives we had was room was far too warm the entire night even with no heating on and window open all night. There was no lamp in room for the evening if curtains closed and also alot of noise can be heard between rooms and people coming and going. Other than that it was a nice stay.

SCAMMED!!! I booked this hotel Friday 29th, to be staying the Saturday for 1 night, myself and my 2 children, I paid £35 which was through bank transfer, personally I didn't think much of with me staying there before, also speaking too a lady, who I thought was Jeanne, as I was calling her that name and she was responding, we got told the hotel called Apollo on vance Road near coral Island was where we was staying, but unfortunately i wake up on the Saturday to a text message to say she has to cancel due to leak in the room, and no plumber! She was very sorry and said she would send me my £35 and then book me a free night.. It's now Monday, 4 messages asking for my money and numerous phone calls what have been ignored!! So clearly this was and is a scam!! The mobile number is the hotels number what I'm texting and calling so I can't see why I am been ignored, not very professional to a business!!! I WILL NEVER BOOK AGAIN AND I WILL NOT LEAVE THIS UNTIL I GET MY MONEY WHAT IM OWED !!!!

Horrendous experience. Was due to stay here with my wife and 3 kids. Around 10pm guests arrived at the room above ours. Wow never heard shouting, banging swearing etc like it. It was that bad our kids were crying and scared. This carried on until midnight when we decided to just leave. There was no way we could stay with all that. As for the property and room.. the whole property absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. The bunk beds were broken, the fire alarm was hanging of the ceiling, the room was stiflingly hot and the bottom of the kettle was black. All in all it was shocking. Now the proprietor is ignoring our calls and emails.

Worst B&B I’ve ever stayed at. The smell of old cigarettes hits you as soon as you walk through the door. Dirty and smelly hall way. Bedding is so old, the colour is coming out. Toilet roll holder is broken and hanging on the wall by a thread. Avoid!

The bed was wonky on one side, we thought it was two matrasses put together but turns out half the slats were missing and some were being held up by a table! The window also wouldn't close, luckily the heating was easy to put and and there were thick curtains though. There were also some suspicious thick hairs on the bathroom floor...

We are 2 couples and 3 Batchelors stayed in this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and host is very nice. No strict rules on check in check out timings as long as room is available. Host is very friendly and helpful. The best hotel at very affordable price.

Lovely place, went for 1 night to see the lights. 3 off us in room 4. Had everything we needed, lady host was so welcoming. We'd come stay again. Only thing I'd say is needs thicker curtains street light straight outside shines in all night even with curtains closed but I'd deffo stay again

Lovely little place in a good location. Nice and clean. Kindly let us check in early. Just some very minor improvements; window frames could do with a wipe down where condensation gets. Bunk beds seem too big for the mattress leaving large gaps top and bottom; but nothing too major and we would stay again and would reccommend to others.
