Perfect stay, few steps away from the train station and the historical center, right in front of the Montagnola Park. The room was perfect, ready despite my early arrival. This is my honest and fair review of this hotel. it does have a lot of good points but is very tired in places and lacks maintenance. Location - Juts 5 minutes walk from the main station and 10/15 minutes walk to the main square and most of Bologna's main attractions. Appearance - The hotel is officially a 3 star hotel, but it lets itself down in a number of places. In our room the wall paper was peeling at the edges, the paintwork was peeling and the chair in the room had a torn fabric seat. A programme of refurbishment is needed. Staff - Our room was kept very clean by our maid and the reception desk were helpful with maps and advise of where to go. Food - The only food the hotel offers is their continental breakfast. I was aware of this before I booked, but was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The spread offered unlimited hot and cold drinks and juices, hard boiled eggs, hams, cheeses, cereals, yoghurts, pastries, croissants, fruits and salads. One would not leave the hotel in the mornings. Rooms - As I have mentioned our room was a little tired in places and could do with a revamp. But it did not detract from our comfort, the bed was huge and clean, the bed linens were pristine and spotless. The room had air con, good black out curtains, colour tv ( although very few English speaking channels) and a safe. The room also had a fridge and mini bar, but no price list so we had no idea what the contents would cost us. Nevertheless the room was nice and quite and we slept very well. Bathrooms - Had a toilet, bidet, shower and very soft toilet tissue. Good quality towels were provided along with basic shower gels, shampoos and soap. But again it was let down by small details, the sink did not have a plug, the shower door seals have gone so it leaked into the shower floor that had a couple of cracked tiles, and there was some evidence of mould in the shower itself. WIFI - The wifi was free, very good and strong throughout the hotel. Trips - We did one trip to San Marino, which was easy to arrange. Take the train to Rimini, right outside of the station is bus stop for the bus to San Marino. My top tip for this trip is to go as early as possible so you can spend as much time in San Marino as you can. Hotel Tax - There is a charge of 4 euros per night per person. Summary - This was a convenient hotel for us as it was close to the station, and was fine for the three nights we were there, whilst some maintenance is urgently required it was not sufficient to ruin my stay, but I do think if I was staying for any longer than 3 days I may have looked elsewhere.

Fantastic location and great room. I came here for the Michelin Star restaurant, which does not disappoint! It was a reunion with my parents, and once the staff knew this, they gave us a little treat at the end of the meal, which was much appreciated. Located near the main square of Bologna, so very handy for a day trip. Highly recommended to any traveller.

Le petit déjeuner servi à l’hôtel est extraordinaire : énormément de choix de viennoiseries, fruits frais et autres légumes, jambons et fromages frais. Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans cet hôtel proche de la gare de Bologna. Nous recommandons cet établissement.

On our round trip through northern Italy, we stopped in Bologna from 24.7.-25.7.22. We had booked a Classic double room at UNAHotels Bologna Centro via an online platform. Likewise, we already know UNAHotels from previous stays in other cities. The hotel is located outside the old town. It's a comfortable 20-minute walk. Unfortunately, the check-in did not work smoothly. The room was not ready at 13.15. The reception could not even check us in. They could only do that when the room was ready. I have never experienced anything like this and it has never happened in any other UNA hotel. Fortunately, we were able to drop off the luggage. A garage is also an advantage in Bologna. The reservation worked without a problem here, cost 22 euros per night. The room was very good. Size, comfort and cleanliness were perfect. The bathroom is also good. Everything necessary is available. Modern furnishings. Our request for a room on the upper floors was met. Wifi is good. The breakfast has everything you could want. Despite the discrepancies at check in, we can recommend the UNAHotels Bologna Centro.

The hotel is in a great location. The very center. The room is very spacious. The mattress is comfortable. The furniture is authentic, but this has its own charm. There is a balcony!!! And the view is great)

Warm service, tea at night, a teapot, and a teacup. Carefully print the ticket. Convenient transportation, 10 minutes walk from the train station. Surrounded by lively, there are supermarkets a few hundred meters away. There are many varieties of breakfast, not bad.

The Starhotel Excelsior is located directly across the street from the central train station, thus is very convenient for those arriving to Bologna by rail. It is also very easy to come in by car without having to battle the traffic of central Bologna and parking is very easy. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the central square. The walk is pleasant day or night on streets lined with shops and restaurants. The area around central station is lively at any time and feels reasonably safe. The hotel itself is quite modern. Rooms are large and quiet despite its proximity to the bustle of the train station. The quality of the rooms and service is extremely good for the price.

I think it is relatively convenient because I walk along the arcade ７～８ minutes from the station. There are several hotels in front of the station, and I stayed almost all, but I think it is a good choice with the balance of cost and content. However, if you use the railway frequently from Bologna station, the station front hotel may be good. Before the Marconi express started operating, the bus stop of the airport bus was near the hotel and it was convenient, but the bus was lost and the central station (and the opposite side, so the underground passage was extended 々 It can be said that the superiority of the location is not a prospect. Because it is an old hotel, the quality of the room is ok, but it is always kept clean and there is no dissatisfaction at all. There were many friendly staff, so I didn't feel uncomfortable. After getting off the lift, it is forced to go up and down a little step to the room, but it is not so painful. Is breakfast a little worried, and the service has fallen a little compared to the previous? Well, it tends to be similar in other hotels, but the coffee service seems to be changing to the basic self, and I have served many delicious cappuccinos that I had made very good before. It seems that it is not serviced unless it asks if it is the effect of reducing the staff. The food choice may be only this time in the degree that it is less comfortable. I felt rich and delicious as usual. For myself, as long as this breakfast service and quality are maintained, this hotel wants to leave as an option.
