Absolutely Obsessed with my stay at The Residence Inn by Marriott downtown / Beltline. I got such a great deal booking on trips I booked for 5 days and got a great discount. The rooms are huge and have everything you need and OH MY GOD the buffet breakfast đ I would stay here again just to have the breakfast itâs amazing and SO much variety of food healthy and a bit naughty and free coffees ect aswell - and the best part is itâs included for free in your stay. TAKE MY MONEY. The gym is great too perfect amount of equipment, well lit and a nice view, plus filtered water. Guest laundry is easy to use, they sell laundry powder at reception and itâs $2 a load. Reception are friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is in a great central location. I actually stayed here alone and felt very safe and welcomed. Super happy with my stay here I couldnât recommend it enough!

Good location. Comfy bed. Bathroom could use some improvements but overall pretty good for the price. Would be nice if smoking was allowed on the balcony, as that's the only reason I booked the balcony.

Really great hotel; nice rooms, bedding, shower. Seemed like it was brand new but I didnât ask. We had a king bed with this mini couch that we discovered pulled out to a bed. We walked to the Peace bridge which was nice. Stephen Avenue was about 1/2 mile walk and a ton of cool restaurants and pubs are there. This hotel has a cool rooftop and two restaurants but we didnât get a chance to go. People seemed to like them.

The front desk was very nice and I saw her in a happy mood the whole day. The room is clean and tidy, with a wide view outside the window. Breakfast is a collaboration with the restaurant on the first floor, a Western-style set meal, which is unique and delicious.

It was our first time to stay at a Holiday Inn. We decided to try because the reviews were positive. We found the staff and shuttle drivers were helpful. However, the room was old and the shower was old and mouldy, unlike the picture shown on their website's room detail page. The armchair was old with a big stain, and we were afraid to sit on it. The room was dark with stuffy air and very noisy. I appreciate the prompt response to the water dropping from the shower head, which disturbed us all night, and the replacement with a new shower head. Unfortunately, the problem got worse and the sound of water dropping to the floor continued... Plus, the guest above us started using a shower at 1 a.m. and the noise of water and loud hissing pipes woke us up. The air conditioning remote control was not working properly. Neither 'auto' or 'low' worked. Only 'high' worked, which was noisy and made the room too cold. So, during the night, we couldn't keep it on 'high' and the room got so hot. We had terrible sleep during our three-night stay. The room condition was not acceptable, and I find it insulting to offer a room like this to hotel guests. We will never stay at a Holiday Inn again.

Our flight departing Calgary was cancelled for 24 hours so we were put up in this hotel by the airline. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, special shout out to Stacey in the lounge who worked so hard to make sure everyone whose flight was cancelled was fed and full of drinks! Also special shout out to the chef that night, he was alone and still managed to get all the delicious food out in a timely manner! These two really stepped up and made our rather gloomy stay much more enjoyable! The rooms were clean and comfortable, big soft pillows on the beds and you could control your own room temperature. The front desk staff also accommodated a late check out for us as we had so much time to waste the next day. Thank you to the staff, youâve really worked hard to turn our trip around!

Hotel did not return our deposit of CAD 180 even though weâre sure we didnât break anything. Tried calling them but they told us to call at 10am, yet to call again as weâre busy lately. Food was great and room was clean. Kitchen staff was kind but took long time to refill. One type of food was all gone even if it was still early (potatoes). Front desk staff were good

GGuest User2022.09.08
Iâm giving this 4 stars based on the Oasis Waterpark and our time spent there. Without that, I would score the hotel as a 3 (3.5). The hotel room itself was pretty standard. 2 queen beds, clean enough except for a dirty vent in the bathroom and a pre-existing stain on the carpet (see photos.) The air conditioning unit in the room was incredibly noisy and made for a rough night sleep on night 1. On night 2, I opened the window to allow for some âstreet white noiseâ and this helped to lessen the noises made when the unit turned on and off. Room was clean, housekeeping staff friendly and prompt to make our room up after night 1. I will note that the shower pressure was minimal, which made washing shampoo out of the hair challenging. The Oasis Waterpark is great. We missed the bulk of the Labour Day weekend travellers and had hours here to ourselves. Waterpark staff were incredibly kind. They also stay busy! Some observations from the Waterpark: - The slides are cleaned daily, which is great. It does result in minimal downtime for one/both slides for a bit, but I can appreciate keeping them clean. - The rest of the Oasis was kept clean, with staff frequently spraying things down. - I lost count of how many times water quality was tested for all bodies of water, great work. - Water in the main pool was pleasant, warm in the toddler pool, and a bit chilly in the pool where the water slides dump you. (Not a bad thing as it encourages people to move along out of the way quickly.) - Hot tubs were definitely hot! - It notes no people under 16 in the hot tubs but children were in them with their parents (we did the same, kids needed to warm up after the slides.) I see no issue with this if times are kept short. - Dry sauna was closed for the duration - The water slides are great but safety rules must be observed. We saw two injuries and both times it was when people were not following posted rules (tandem rides, entering the slide before the previous rider was most of the way down, sliding headfirst.) We will stay again so that we can visit the Waterpark.

Was absolutely filthy because the room with the steam bath I would suggest bringing your own cleaner and making sure to clean the tub in the bathroom very well The bed was very comfortable though and yet the people behind the desk were yet very rude and very ignorant they had no manners at all and were very short with everyone

CCompanion37367437583I stayed here for four nights in October, and found it to be comfortable and well put together. The room was clean and not worn or dirty. Beds were comfy with good linens. Towels were quite good. Amenities, meh. Enough, but the smell wasn't to my taste. I had a queen suite on the 6th floor--with views of the transit station and very distant mountain views--at a reasonable price. Quite spacious, and actually would've been good for a family--two queen beds and a sofa bed, plus small fridge/microwave/coffee pod machine. I requested partial housekeeping service--they replaced my towels and took the garbage every day, and I never saw them. I also appreciated that the room had enough LIGHT. So tired of glum-looking hotel rooms with a couple of lamps with weak bulbs. With regard to covid, we were asked for proof of vaccination at check in, and were told that we could then access amenities such as the pool and breakfast room. That's the law at this point, and I was glad to be asked. On the first morning, the breakfast area felt controlled and safe (I saw one small party moving around the room unmasked, but it was quiet and I was able to keep my distance). On the second morning (a Saturday), the place was VERY full, with lots of people not using masks, lots of unmasked and unsupervised kids helping themselves at the food table. Kids gotta eat, but parents should be helping and making sure they do so in a sanitary way (this is not unusual, but covid makes it worse). There was NO ONE controlling the room, no pretense of verifying that the people there were actually the ones who could prove vaccination status. (I actually saw one guest walking around barefoot--which is not a particular covid risk but is just gross.) Could they not code the room cards for access or no access and then code the breakfast room (and pool) to match? Wouldn't be perfect--someone's going to slide in behind someone else at some point--but it would be better. Also I know these places hate to see you carry food back to your room, but under the circumstances, a few trays to make it easier would be appreciated by those of us who prefer not to spend time with those who prefer not to follow the law.
CChengMy stay at Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North was fantastic! The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, making it perfect for travelers. I loved the free shuttle service, which made getting to and from the airport a breeze. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. I also appreciated the new coin laundry facilities, which were super convenient during my stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of options to start the day right. Highly recommend for anyone traveling through Calgary!
GGuest UserWe better not Jed the hotel for a night to attend a concert. It would have been a long walk to the Saddledome and it was very cold so we took a taxi. It cost $15.00 one way which would have been the cost to park our vehicle at the Saddledome.
The breakfast in the morning was a continental breakfast with plenty of everything.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay.
Very good breakfast meal served for our team. They were able to have it ready for 6:30 AM when we had an early game. The hotel was great about giving us a late check out when we had a late game on the day of our departure.
Ffang1025The location is too bad to find, the hotel is on the highway side, I saw that I couldnât get in. I took a few laps to enter the hotel area. The hotel is located in the airport development zone of the airport. There is basically no one. No car is sure. . The hotel is newly built, the price is low and the facilities are good.
GGuest UserEverything was great - clean rooms, comfy bed, great breakfast, convenient shuttle to airport, very friendly and helpful staff - EXCEPT, in a hotel with âno smoking â signs all over, we opened our room and were greeted by a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. We arrived after midnight and had to leave early, so I did not request a different room, and boy do I regret that decision. I had the worst night of sleep ever- the smoke smell was so strong. So if you plan to stay here, be sure you donât get room 217, and ask if the room you are assigned was ever a smoking room. Thatâs all I can figure is what happened here. I would be very leery of staying here again based on what happened, and in spite of all the nice amenities the hotel offers.
Very nice hotel, clean, light and airy rooms and the beds were quite comfortable. the room I had all the usual comforts such as a microwave and a fridge. It also had a hot plate and utensils for cooking if required. It had an elevator for the tower and 2nd floor rooms on the eastern side. The hotel also had an indoor pool and spa. The staff were cheerful and helpful. If there is to be a fault it would be that the breakfast was very basic, to compensate there was a 24hr diner and an Irish bar 0.5kms away.
GGuest UserA really unwelcoming receptionist was on duty when I checked in. Grumpy and used unfriendly tone when we discussed. The room was quite big, but what an awful filthy floor! The carpet on the floor was full of dog hair and generally smelly. The bed was ok, but it was not evenly leveled between left and right side. I almost fell of the bed on one side. The bathroom was ok with hot water. The wifi was strong. The breakfast was just a sandwich, a donut and a juice. That's all. Cheap stay for a hotel, but not for a demanding guest.
