Inn Cardiff

I just stayed here with my son, my friend and her daughter and we had such a pleasant stay. The Caerphilly Suite was spotless and each bedroom was cosy and spacious. I'm not sure how the sofa bed was supposed to work but it didn't matter to us, we were happy to just use the beds which are SO comfortable! The suite was equipped with a fridge, a microwave, plates, cutlery, mugs, glasses, a selection of teas and snacks and a complimentary fresh milk in the fridge! The bathroom was sparkling with lovely clean towels, toiletries to use and despite being in the centre of Cardiff, not a single noise bothered us from outside all night - we all slept very soundly. Even the room temperature seemed to be perfectly planned - none of us were ever too hot or too cold!! Oh and last but not least, the WiFi works brilliantly! Steve was very friendly and helpful, especially as we had some miscommunication with our booking. I would not hesitate in recommending Inn Cardiff and I will most definitely stay here again. It's the perfect location - a stone's throw from Bute and the centre. Thank you for an excellent stay!

The bed was comfy and the shower very good. Unfortunately that’s where the good parts end. Room was ok, carpet not particularly clean and the room was not serviced. When I asked I was told that the beds were not made but towels and tea/coffee were replenished- this had not happened. We were all awoken at 5am with the unbelievable noisy bins being emptied. Food average and for a hotel not badly priced. Breakfast ok but little choice as far as healthy options were concerned.Staff very helpful and friendly on the bar but did not have a clue about drinks. Left white wine out on the counter so it was not cold and at £11 a glass this was not on. The bar was noisy in the evenings with loud music or sport on the screen so not relaxing at all. Overall this is set up for working people where the company pays for the stay so guest generally not too bothered about the quality of the stay. Would not stay again unless I had to on business.

Just returned from a 3 night stay, was in Cardiff for a family wedding. Have to say the staff were friendly, informative and very accommodating. Wedding was on Friday and the maltsters arms very kindly allowed us to have dinner with them on Saturday night, there was 18 of us!!! Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff for the most amazing food, from starters to desserts and delicious drinks and cocktails 5 stars. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. The manager sorry can’t remember your name, was friendly and helpful. Lastly to Ben for his hospitality and professionalism in helping to book us all in on Saturday night, it was a wonderful ending to all of our trip to beautiful Cardiff. Thank you all so much for making this possible, Kindest regards from Bob & Angela Brown

Here is a delightful venue for visiting Cardiff. We enjoyed a one night stay in a comfortable, spotlessly clean room followed by a freshly cooked delicious full Welsh breakfast. The owners and their team were friendly and most helpful. Ideally situated within a 10/15 minutes walk to the city through Sophia Gardens yet far enough out to be on a reasonably quiet main road. Plenty of non city centre pubs close by. Perfect venue for the cricket ground. We will return.

Stayed at the start of December, it wasn't in the actual hotel building itself it was in a separate building in the back courtyard which was accessible through the main dining room and conservatory. Out of hours there was a secure key gate and private walkway by the side of the hotel to go through. The room itself was clean and tidy. I stayed in a twin room which was perhaps a mistake as the duvet felt too small for the bed, although it would have been fine for a child, before you think it, yes I am medium build and height. Shower and toilets were fine. Very trivial things, batteries on the remote control didn't work and low stock on the teas and coffee in the room. Room was quiet other than being woken up by the bin lorry at 6.30am (Wednesday morning) but that wasn't the hotel fault. Staff were friendly, I would stay again but just choose a different room next time.
