Hotels in Changshu Downtown Area, Changshu

The Kunli麗呈華廷 Hotel is conveniently located in the city center with easy access to transportation, and parking for self-driving guests is free during their stay. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety. While the hotel's decor and facilities show their age, and some equipment is a bit old, the rooms are spacious. A minor drawback is that the shower is located inside the bathtub. All drinks in the room are complimentary.

The hotel has a great location, convenient for dining and transportation. The rooms are well soundproofed, the beds are comfortable, and the price is reasonable. The breakfast is simple, and the front desk service is very friendly. The only downside is that even though I requested no corner rooms, they still gave me one of the three rooms I booked. The room window is also small, as you can tell from the curtains. My friend's room's voice control was completely unusable.

I'd heard for a while that the Hilton Changshu was considered the best Hilton in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region, so I specially brought my girlfriend to check it out this time. We booked an executive room on the 15th floor, which was supposedly recently renovated by the owner. The overall interior design is really impressive; you can tell a lot of thought went into it. The hotel service was also very attentive. The staff called us a day before to connect on WeChat, asking about many details and patiently answering all our questions. We arrived a bit late, so the lounge service was almost over. The swimming pool, however, was a fantastic experience, especially with its partially transparent bottom – very beautiful. Breakfast was also bountiful, a mix of Chinese and Western options, with plenty of variety and good flavors. Overall, the experience was well worth the price. If I come to Changshu again, I'll definitely choose this place.

The newly opened Atour, the decoration and hygiene are impeccable, and the deep sleep pillow of Atour is well-deserved. Thanks to the front desk for upgrading the high-floor room, the view is very good, the other side tower, you can also see Lushan. The hotel parking lot is full and you can also park in the surrounding parking lot. The hotel can reimburse it, which is very user-friendly. The location is not far from Shanghu and Lushan and various attractions. It is recommended to friends who come to Changshu to travel.

This place is decent, offers good value for money, and has free parking. However, I really dislike Changshu as a city; it's incredibly congested, even worse than Beijing. Finding parking near Yanyuan is harder than finding a spot within Beijing's Second Ring Road. The only redeeming quality was the noodles at Hongxun Noodle House, which were pretty good.

The room was great. The bedside table had a wireless phone charger, the gym had relatively extensive facilities, and the laundry room had a washing machine that automatically added detergent, and the dryer was also very powerful. The breakfast was good! The downside was that the room was a bit cramped.

The hotel's exterior environment is very good, and the rooms are generally nice, with clean bath towels. The fitness facilities at the partner venue are quite comprehensive. I rarely write negative reviews, but the service during this stay definitely needs improvement. The hotel can verify all my statements with surveillance footage. I checked in around 7 PM and asked the front desk if there was a gym and how to get there. They told me there was a skywalk on the third floor. I changed into my workout clothes and went there around 7:50 PM, but my key card didn't work. I went back to the front desk, and they said all the new cards they just got were faulty and wouldn't work. So, why did they give me a non-working card when they knew I was going to the gym? I finished my workout around 8:58 PM and shivered my way back to my room through the cold wind on the third floor (it was the rooftop, not the skywalk). Then, both of my key cards wouldn't open the door. I had to go back to the front desk again to get new cards. I hope they can improve their service in the future.

This is a newly opened hotel with comprehensive facilities, and most importantly, it's incredibly clean and hygienic. We chose this place mainly because of its excellent location; it's not far from Qin Lake, Shang Lake, Kuncheng Lake, and Shajiabang. Plus, there's a Northern Garden Hotpot restaurant downstairs, which is very tasty and also recently opened. We checked out in the morning, and while we were enjoying Shang Lake afterwards, we received a call from the front desk. They said we had left a face wash in the room. Honestly, we had intentionally left it because there wasn't much left, but the front desk thought we'd forgotten it and called to ask if we still needed it. This really shows how dedicated and responsible they are. After we got home, we realized our child's pillow was left in the restaurant during breakfast. We didn't have high hopes of finding it, but when we called to ask, the front desk immediately helped us search and quickly called back to say they found it, promising to mail it to us. These two incidents really highlight the professionalism and responsibility of both the front desk staff and the restaurant staff. Changshu is a small city, and its attractions aren't particularly stunning. However, it was the warm and thoughtful service at this hotel that left us with such wonderful memories.

The room was quite spacious. Since we drove there, we called the hotel front desk in advance to reserve a parking space, which was free – a great feature. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. The room was clean and hygienic, with no unpleasant odors. The room was located near the residential area, so it was very quiet. The shower had a strong water pressure, and the water temperature was just right. I highly recommend staying here.

The courtyard is beautifully decorated, and the hydrangeas at the entrance are blooming beautifully. The room is spacious, the sound insulation is average, but the lighting is very good. The overall environment of the homestay is good, the waitress is very nice, and the recommended restaurants are delicious. When sitting in the lobby, she actively provided tea and coffee. I don't know what kind of beans the coffee is, but it is very fragrant. The breakfast the next day was also very good. She was also very enthusiastic to help us buy the popular fried skewers next door.
