Room facilities: The two bedrooms and one living room we stayed in were spacious and bright, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom has plenty of hot water and a lot of water. The rooms and public areas are well-decorated, new, and exactly as pictured. The bed is very comfortable, and I personally think the quality of the decor far exceeds that of 7 Days Inn. The location is also excellent, making it convenient for ordering takeout or going out to eat and shop. There is parking and charging stations in the backyard, which is perfect for those driving. The only downside is the smell of smoke and sewer odor in the room (but you can mention it, and the staff will actively help you change rooms). If they could improve the sewer odor and differentiate between non-smoking floors, it would be perfect.

This stay at the Holiday Inn Express exceeded my expectations. Before coming to Chengde, I did a lot of research, and my previous experiences at Holiday Inn Express hotels elsewhere had them feeling quite old.
