What a great experience! Very glad we spend one night at this unique place. The staff was extremely helpfull and kind.
The rooms are very decent, considering it's an old sleeper train. Just keep in mind the rooms are quite narrow so there is not a lot of space to keep luggage in the room.
And the other facilities (bathroom, common rooom) are not abundant, but clean and very much so sufficient for spending a night.

The hotel decoration for Christmas was superb & beautiful.
Initially when we checked in, the passage way at level 2 had an unpleasant musty smell but a few hours later the smell was gone. I think the hotel should look into improving the ventilation & add some aromatic scent.
The breakfast spread for 1320 yen was excellent. There were Japanese as well as Western food choices.

I stayed for the first time after being renewed. I was surprised that it was very clean. The entrance from the entrance is artistic and delicate, and I feel that the approach to the front desk is a hotel that protects a very venerable tradition.
The front desk was great, and after checking out, I also kept my luggage for Hitoyoshi sightseeing. I was able to spend a really pleasant time with a smile and respond to the end. Thank you very much!

The room was spacious and very clean, and it even had an open-air bath, making it the best stay. Amenities and a nice basket bag were provided to take to the large public bath. The refrigerator in the room also had two complimentary bottles of premium beer and two bottles of dekopon juice. We were given a welcome drink in the lobby at reception, while listening to an explanation of the hotel and being shown to our room. On the first floor, various famous and aged shochu makers from Hitoyoshi were beautifully displayed, and although it was only available for a limited time, we were able to sample shochu, which I think is great for shochu lovers. The hotel had a calm atmosphere, the flowers were beautiful, and there were no noisy guests, so we were able to spend our time relaxing. This is an inn that I would definitely like to use again.
