Just back today from a fantastic 10 days at this hotel, felt from day one you got the personal touch, the gentleman at breakfast was lovely and polite offering tips about the resort and made us very welcome each morning. The room we had was fantastic huge balcony very clean bedding and the hotel decor was quirky with its bikes and nostalgia items, it proves that sometimes the smaller hotels try harder that was definitely the case here. The location is only an Uber ride to the marina costing and average of 5.00 euros plus you can get to most locations from this hotel. We have just returned from our stay in the apartments. As annual visitors I’m sorry to say this will be our last time in the Hilton as it no longer warrants a 5 star rating. 1) the apartments have become very dated and tired looking. Room 217 was just tired everywhere.. the bathroom door frames all boast with water damage, generally tired furniture and lots of tiles which are loose that every time you walk on them there is almost a crack! We also had ants and cockroaches in the apartment which is the first time ever we had seen this! Also in the bedroom the tv was unwatchable as it was all lines and clearly no longer functional 2) the cleanliness has definitely dropped.. rubbish lying on our corridor floor which remained for the week. Also when clearing the apartment on the last day we found someone else’s dirty sock under the bed 3) the apartments pool the jets no longer work and there is unsightly scum round the tiles… also the sun beds padding is dirty 4) the main Hilton pool also looking really tired with the rocks paint all peeling off 5) the toilets at the apartment pool are awful.. the floor is so dirty and on the last day we went to shower here in the ladies room to discover the shower head was snapped off and the cold tap unable to turn so no ability to shower the children in scalding temperature 6) some of the pool towels are only fit for the bin! 7) we went to the hotel bar one evening as it was the option for food(Tuesday) .. on sitting down I was told there was no children’s menu available? How in a family hotel can there be no children’s options? I had to buy the children an 18 euro burger and ask for it totally plain.. totally overpriced and not acceptable to not cater for children here 8) we were tortured with mosquito bites at the pool.. again never had this in all my years of coming here.. perhaps it’s a bad year but not pleasant All in all I have just found the whole resort has went downhill.. it no longer warrants to be called a 5 star and I don’t feel good value for money was here sadly!

It was the best holiday I ever had, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and very comfortable, a great view and facilities were great. Only 2 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the Marina where you find good food,drinks and ice cream. The hotel had activities every night organized to suit all ages, they had an amazing vibe and their cheerfulness was contagious, I will be coming back every year.

100% recommend. First of all it's very clean, which is very important to me. Staff was so lovely, and attentive, especially Pedro, he went an extra mile! Location is good, close to Marina, food was excellent. Pool was good, always had sunbeds available at any time of day. We were there for a week and it wasn't overcrowded like you get at some big hotels. Will definitely go back.

My 5 stars goes to the apartments not Vilamoura itself. One of the best 3 star hotels we have stayed in A credit to the cleaners from the apartments to the public areas all spotless. Free air con included Rooms large and spacious, hob and microwave but no oven. Pool is freezing even in July but lovely once your dunked in! Plenty of sun beds. Spar around 5 mins walk. Use Uber much cheaper than local taxis reception will tell you not to use but just ignore we had no issue in 10 days , Uber for up to 4 people around 5 euros we got dropped off at restaurant il trio and walked down the steps to the harbour . Turn right by the Irish bar use the steps to the right this will bring you to a lovely square of restaurants. Vilamoura itself looks the part but I would not return. Look up and you will see the massage parlours and the **** supermarket, up the side and back streets you will see the gentlemen’s clubs and massage parlours with an atm conveniently situated outside of each. Although this will cause you no problems I couldn’t help but notice the girls outside the massage parlour, drunken men leaving barely able to walk never mind anything else ! On the back and side streets the girls do stand in the doorway calling to the men as they walk past, this will cause you no bother as they are spaced out and it’s done very discreetly, I just find it contradicts what Vilamoura claims to be. It’s easy to just ignore it and not see it if you choose not to. I’m sure it is happens everywhere I’ve just never noticed it before. The marina is lovely, food expensive nice for a few drinks sat overlooking the marina. Would never return though.

Absolute great hotel. We've stayed in all but 1 of the 5 star hotel within the Vilamoura area and 1 in Olhao, whilst they all have their good points this one was fantastic. The service was second to none, if you have food allergies then do mention to Guest Relations in the restaurant and you'll eat like a King or Queen. If you've booked a room that is part of Haut Living then the lounge is fabulous and so are the staff in there. They are a credit to the hotel and the Marriot group. I can understand another review on the rooms being a little dark, especially if you were on the ground level floor. The lighting in the rooms is not great and personally doesn't work for those who like to wear make up, even difficult to see in the toilet or the bathroom. However we managed and still are returning in June 2025. See you all soon
