Hyatt Place Columbus

Do NOT book with the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, MS. We arrived on the evening of our reservation only to find out that they had over sold the hotel, so my family, along with others who had booked their room with a 3rd party agency, were left scrambling to find a hotel on a football game weekend. The hotel manager was rude and unhelpful. His only advice was not to book with ******* again.

The staff was Ahmazing everything elese a thumbs down. Lets just say i wore shower shoes like i did in college. Definitely not worth the pruce

The room didn’t really seem clean when we got in but we got in late with 3 kids so we didn’t end up changing. The bath mat had mold under it and just generally seemed not clean. The breakfast was subpar for a hotel. The hot food was fine that they cooked but hardly any options outside of that. There were no pancake or waffle makers. The only water available in the entire hotel was from a 3 gallon pitcher at breakfast so you definitely need to buy bottled water from them or Walmart next door if you’re staying more than a night.

The property struck a perfect balance—elegantly upscale without feeling out of place for the area. The amenities and layout reflected thoughtful planning. I absolutely loved my stay.

Breakfast was not great. No fresh fruit, just canned fruit. Smoked sausage swimming in grease.
