"Pretty nice"

"Best hotel in Columbus Ms. Awesome staff. Always clean"

"Stayed here on a business trip in Columbus.. Rooms are very clean and friendly Staffa d management made my stay rememberable. . Great job keep up the great work… I Will definitely be staying here next time i’m coming thru Columbus. Cheap rates too"

"Basic room was clean. Was a smoking room and the carpet was absolutely filthy from cigarette smoke."

"Front desk staff for dayshift is always friendly and so helpful. Unfortunately, mid-shift only has one staff member working the desk and they were not available for 20-25 minutes upon arrival due to helping other customers upstairs. The room was clean, but the sink was slow draining and almost overflowing. Front desk did make maintenance aware so it would be fixed for the next customers who occupy that room. There was quite a bit of dust on the access panel to the tub right beside the toilet. Most disappointing is that the printer in the lobby/lounge area doesn’t work and I needed to print documents for a training I was attending. Overall I will stay here again, mostly because of the staffs cheerful disposition and willingness to assure my stay is the best."

"They were absolutely amazing! The staff is really nice and the service is great! They will even work with you on long stays."

"Absolutely an amazing experience and stay at a beautiful, historic bed and breakfast. The home was truly beautiful and full of history and interesting antiquities. However, the true beauty in this home was not the home or antique pieces, Bernette, the owner, is the true gem when you stay at Shadowlawn. She goes above and beyond for her guests and truly cares for the people staying in her home. Mississippi is known for hospitality and Bernette epitomizes the spirit of hospitality in Mississippi. When you talk with Bernette, it is like talking with a friend you have known for years. The breakfast she makes is five-star quality and made from scratch. The rooms were very comfortable and well-designed and decorated. We slept like babies. We also were staying during a MSU gameday weekend, and the rates for our stay were great, especially considering the alternatives were very pricey and do not come with Bernette and her amazing personality and attitude. We highly recommend anyone visiting Columbus or Starkville to stay with Bernette at Shadowlawn. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Columbus because we already know where we will be staying, which is Shadowlawn. Why go anywhere else?"
