Crown Resorts Horizon Hotel

The hotel and staff are magnificent the moment you stepped through the door you were made to feel special. The hotel was spotless. Great facilities. A special mention to Costas who was the hotel porter. He was a character very friendly and tells a good story. Also Ash who was a very attentive pool bar tender. Always smiling and polite xx We can't fault any of the staff they went above and beyond for guests. Will definitely be back.

This is going to be a comprehensive review of our experience on holiday at this hotel. I will start at the airport when your booking says coach it is a mini bus that collects you, to travel from Paphos Airport it takes 50 minutes to reach this hotel. Upon arrival you are welcomed by the wonderful staff, you are given a drink and a warm towel, then you have to fill in the paperwork. Your luggage is taken by the porter to your room. For reference we had Room 239. The room itself was big and clean. The wardrobe has no doors on it, there are 16 hangers, of which 6 you could hang trousers from. And two dressing gown with slippers. In the bathroom there was a big rain shower, and a handheld one to use. Along with toothbrush, soap, body lotion, sewing kit, shower cap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. In the room itself there are 3 drawers under the safe, hairdryer in a box under the table, kettle with tea and coffee, and for the coffee lovers there is a coffee pod machine. A stool, and a comfy chair with a small table. There are 5 sockets to charge your devices, a large TV. A bottle of wine and 2 glasses and fruit in our room upon arrival. We have air conditioning too. Outside we had Pool View, as well as Sea View, 2 Chairs, a Table and Clothes Horse on the Balcony. The Balcony is not massive. But big enough for two people to enjoy the views. The food was lovely, the menu was varied everyday Monday theme night was Around The World, Tuesday - Middle East, Wednesday - Gourmet, Thursday - Peruvian Fusion, Friday - Cyprus and Greek, Saturday - Italian, Sunday - Carvery. Now these may change whilst your out there. This was the menu we had for a week in November 2024. There is a Japanese Fusion restaurant - we did not try this out! Most of the drinks are All Inclusive, ask at the bar which are not inclusive these might be in a shelf behind them. Reception staff very polite and helpful. Can help with Car Hire from this hotel, There is and I kid you not a Huge Outdoor Swimming Pool, 47 Metres long and I could stand up in it. The depth is the same from end to end there is steps at one end, and the other end has 3 steps to get into the pool. Plenty of Sun Loungers, no one out there towel out before 8am. There is an Indoor Pool, smaller than the outdoor one. A Steam Room, a Sauna Room which were lovely. There is large lockers to put your belongings into. You can have Spa treatments too but you pay for these. Everything else is free. My only criticism is there is not enough storage, and could do with a hook on the bathroom door to hang your robes on, instead of taking up space in the wardrobe. Would we go back? Certainly we would. I would like to Thank All The Lovely Staff who said Hello to us, and made this holiday great. Keep Smiling!

Fantastic service and a beautiful, clean hotel. The staff really cannot do enough for you. The attention to detail in both service and the standard of the hotel is excellent. The food is good with alot of choice. The outdoor pool is large with lots of comfortable beds. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we stepped through the door.

Omg where does the time go! I have been meaning to send this review for the last 5 weeks. We were really impressed with the Calli Resort the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Vicky guest manager was our Hero in more ways than one, the Hotel is so lucky to have her. She really does care about her guests enjoying a great break away. The staff around the pool work so hard in the heat and are on the go fetching drinks and food all day! Well done guys and thank you! Couldn’t fault the food good choices and always replenished when busy. Go and enjoy this wonderful hotel we will be back. Thanks all for making my birthday break away so enjoyable xx

November stay as a couple all inclusive. Only 100 guests when we were there, full capacity is 400 guests so bear in mind. Arrival First impressions were excellent, hotel looked beautiful and we were immediately pleased with our choice. Very warm welcome and smooth check in with lovely iced lemonade drink and towel. Suggest they dampen towels as no real point in getting a dry one. Porter took our case up to room. Room Very well appointed and comfortable. On entering the room we saw a Cali beach bag with pool towels ready in there which is a nice touch. The 3 things I look for and which are important to us are cleanliness, comfortable bed and decent shower power. The hotel delivered on all. Did not have any issues though perhaps they could add bedside tables that have drawers to create a bit more storage. There was a mini bar with 2 beers, 2 waters , 2 fizzy drinks and 2 juices replenished daily. The safe was at an appropriate level. Also a nespresso machine. We are not balcony people and never used it but view was nice of the mountains. Only issue in bathroom was no fan. Towels were fluffy and large enough and you get bathrobes. We loved our room. Pool Stunning pool area with tonnes of sunbeds, that are actually like beds with thick mattresses. Each pair has its own parasol but they are very close together (apart from the water sunbeds). No towel reservations before 8am allowed. Can't really move sunbeds to follow sun but did not matter as we just moved area. The water sunbeds go quickly but we never really wanted one as easy to drop things in the water by accident. Only 1 toilet each for men and women by pool. Think they need more. The pool towels are good quality and full length, no silly towel cards. You can replace at reception or there is a pool guy/ lifeguard. Suggestion to make them wider more to protect the beautiful sun beds. Background music around pool is not my thing but understand some people like it so suggestion would be to have a quiet area with no speakers. The pool bar offers all manner of drinks and service to your sunbed should you wish. Bars/ drinks 2 bars outside and 1 inside. Excellent drinks offering. Estrella and local Keo on tap and bottled Carlsberg. Good cocktails and staff happy to make off menu ones. Many branded spirits included in the AI offering. Wine drinkable but area for improvement. Note they have 3 different reds and whites and 2 roses. Also 2 types of fizz. Plastic glasses were good quality reusable ones. Think they need a more eco friendly water solution. Breakfast The main restaurant is lovely with beautifully set tables and comfortable chairs. You can eat inside or out. The choice at breakfast was amazing. Eggs or omelette freshly made if desired, French toast, pancakes, freshly baked pastries, breads, meats and cheeses and even smoked salmon, chocolate cake and fizz if you so desired. Can't think of anything they missed. Coffee served in a pot but you can get one made from the machine which is better.

We booked Cali as it was portrayed as the newer version of Ivi Mare where we had an amazing experience. Interior aesthetics were a delight. Pool and pool bar were well designed. Rooms very small. Tri shaped balcony rather odd leaving little difference between sea view and side sea premium. Fiki dining experience was delicious. Breakfast ok. Lunch variety and quality was exceptional. Evening meal was a little clinical, lots on offer but bland and miss matched. Vast majority of staff are excellent. Irene in reception, Puja and Smita in restaurant are naturally very good at their jobs. The vast majority of pool bar staff are attentive and polite. Many previous reviews have gushed about the exceptional customer service but this wasn’t our experience at this time of year. The best way to explain it is there is just an odd vibe of unease. The manager is ever present but looks troubled constantly and rarely interacts with clients.
