Hotels in Xuan Huong Lake, Dalat

What a wonderful hotel! We absolutely loved our time at the Ana Mandara Hotel! I would say its charming location and bungalows, outstanding staff and high quality food made it the perfect stay for us in Dalat! Our kids felt really comfortable here and it just made for a great Dalat experience! Highly recommended!

Our stay in the Dragon King Hotel I would be almost very pleasant if not for 2 incidents. 1. In countries where I don't speak the language I usually ask for a calling card of the hotel. I did and they had none, And voila the taxi took us to another Dragon King Hotel in Da Lat and we had to take another taxi from there back to Dragon King I. 2. We booked including breakfast as that is normally a nice way to ease into the day in a foreign city. The Dragon King breakfast facilities are in a from floor to ceiling tiled cellar under the hotel full of load speaking local people eating local breakfasts (soup and the like) so talking about your plans for the day while eating bread with jam (the only non local food choice available) was impossible goodbye enjoying a quiet breakfast. (There is a nice place to your left when you leave the hotel that serves for a very small price with a very wide smile)

The location is excellent. The staff are friendly. The cons is its small size of toilet. There is not much room to turn around once inside and it’ll be a disaster for overweight guests. Its design of two sliding doors closing at the diagonal point is not admirable and the sliding doors hardly close! The worst part? The bathroom light beams thru the glass door (though designed blurred) separating it and the bedroom!! Maybe good for one person but definitely no no for 2 to share! Hesitate to come back.

I stayed there for two days, and the staff provided very friendly service and even though it was a bit far from the city, there was a free shuttle service to the city. I applied in advance and used it, so I had a great time without much inconvenience. When I woke up in the morning, there were peacocks in front of my door. We were greeted and walked around the resort lake for about 30 minutes. The walking course was also very good. I highly recommend this place to visit again next time.

Hotel is centrally located, close to everything you need, including the night market. The hotel itself is clean and and beds are comfortable. The buffet has a variety of Vietnamese and continental food, fruits, and drinks - all very delicious. The staff are very polite and helpful. Tuyen, the reception supervisor was exceptionally helpful when i made a mistake with booking my flight and she was able to sort it out for me last minute, going above and beyond.

The hotel looks old colonial style with many antique artifacts. Most of the area were dirty nobody is taking care. The owner should hire a person to take care the beautiful artifacts, cars etc. it’s very rare pieces. We stayed for 2 nights but our room nobody clean it even we hang the signage outside our room while we go out almost half day from 13.00pm and came back to our room at 21.00pm. And when we mentioned then staff did apologize. Have many staff I saw but no one maybe do patrol the room, mostly I saw relaxing. Breakfast for two days only noodle soup and the same fruit. I believe that Dalat supplies fruit to most of the region in vietnam but here only served rotten banana and vietnam apple. Seem like nobody supervised staffs when working. I when out to buy fruit very cheap. Your hotel is so good but no quality in food and beverage as well as the service PS: I like your antique collection

My second time visit. This hotel does not disappoint me as always. Kind services, peaceful environment, clean facilities etc. When I go to the downtown, it's very easy to take taxi. They are waiting us almost every chance when we need. Anyway this hotel is the place I choose whenever I visit DALAT.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT FOR THEIR EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AND BAD ATTITUDE OF TEAM MEMBERS!!! Our family arrived on Feb 2, 2023 at 14h35 for check in and no room available!!! They asked us to WAIT (for 2 more hours) !!! And the worse thing is the attitude of the receptionists. We made 2 bookings for our family: • 1 booking they made wrong assigment: twin beds instead of double bed. Firstly they said it's our mistake and didnot listen to us at all. Only when we raised our voice and showed them our confirmation that they told us to WAIT 2 MORE HOURS FOR ROOM SET UP (It means we needed to wait until 4PM meanwhile the standard check in time is 2pm and its their mistake and even after we told that we're so tired after 7 hours driving here). • The another room we had requested the villa number when booking, and ordered joining twin beds. No room's ready at 2:40. No sorry but ”Wait”! We show our disappoinment of course. Then around 3.30PM they had room for us BUT IT'S WRONG ASSIGNMENT AGAIN! (We booked joining twin beds and they gave us only one 1.6m double bed! How can our Family of 4 sleep on that bed??) I said I want to talk with Manager( FOM or GM) as the Guest service Sup couldn't handle our case properly. We gave him our my phone numbers and he promised that his higher manager will be reported and talk with us. And up to now when i write this review (22:30), no one even care to keep their promise!! In the afternoon, they sent 1 plate of fruits to our room without saying any words or leaving any note (?). I did ask the receptionist, Mr Vinh said (with bad attitude): the hotel would like to offer us. I said ”I dont need it”. And he responded to me : ”if you dont want it, you just put it out of your room”. What kind of hospitality it is? THERE IS NO TRUE APOLOGY FROM THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT, Or it made me even feel THERE IS NO MANAGEMENT in this resort. No guest service attitude at all !!! In addition, the room got a lot of troubles : bathroom door cannot be closed properly (villa L3...), bathroom water is very weak and hot water comes suddenly; staff promised to order tuk tuk for her but it took more than 20 minues for that until I called again for that... Overall, we would NEVER COME BACK and highly recommend anyone who wants to come to re-consider!!! This hotel is more a decoration than a hotel. At first glance you're fascinated. A real old fashioned luxury style hotel with a lovely staff. The rooms are nice, the bathroom is spacious, everything looks so fine. As soon as you are in bed you realize, the beds are also old fashioned. No mattress nowadaws should be so uncomfortable. The whole night you're feel like fighting against falling out of bed. The staff of the hotel is friendly, really friendly but - unfortunately to say - completely incompetent. It's pitiful. It started with a booked airport shuttle service. We confirmed their offer and waited...and waited. Finally we took a taxi (which was in fact cheaper than the offered shuttle by the hotel). Arriving at the hotel we told them, we waited for the shuttle but it did not come and they were so sorry, so sorry, so sorry. They were really nice but it seems they are always overstrained. The forgotten airport shuttle is only an example for all the disability. Speaking English is a real challenge and to understand English is a barrier most of the staff can't overcome. To order something, for instance a beer on the terrace, is a challenge and finally to get the brand you want, simply luck. The breakfast wants to be noble, the quality is poor. That butter should be fresh and not a bit rancid should be self-evident. After a while you realise that complaining makes no sense because they do not understand. At check out we told the staff the fridge (mini bar) did not work properly. He smiled and had it forgotten in the same moment. The hotel calls itself a 5 star hotel, whatever that means from their point of view. The wonderful vintage Citroën in front of the hotel, which you can see on every photo is a good example for the hotel. From the distance it looks great. Coming closer you realise, this poor car is not maintained as is should be. It's a gem but nobody takes care of it. We only can say - do not waste money staying in this hotel. It is an illusion but the reality is a poor one.

Very impressive huge nice lobby with many dining/entertainment areas. Large hotel catering mostly for seminars, conventions, weddings and other parties etc. Good selection at buffet breakfast mostly vietnamese dishes. My deluxe double quite spacious with small balcony nice view. Furniture a bit aged. Pillows and mattress very comfortable. Room cleaning needs attention. Staff a bit stressed and not engaged. For a 5 star not up to that standard in general.
