Shangri-La Hotel Dalian

This stay was a truly pleasant surprise! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I could feel a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff at the luggage storage were all very kind! The room was clean and tidy, beautifully decorated with a high-quality feel, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – it was so relaxing to lie in bed after a long day. The housekeeping ladies who cleaned the rooms every morning were all very kind and friendly. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with any request, making the entire check-in process smooth and pleasant. The hotel's attention to detail was also excellent, with complete facilities, providing an overall experience that was both comfortable and high-quality. What was supposed to be just an ordinary stay unexpectedly left me with such a great impression. I am extremely satisfied with this experience and have already listed it as my top choice for my next trip. This hotel is managed and operated with care and dedication – my first choice in Dalian!

The autumn weather in Dalian is simply delightful, especially when staying at the Shangri-La Hotel. Starting each day with a leisurely stroll and some quiet contemplation along Binhai Road feels like a life lived by the gods. A major perk of staying on the executive floor at the Shangri-La is that your breakfast and dinner are taken care of, and they're always well-prepared. The executive lounge staff, in particular, are incredibly attentive, fulfilling all your needs for drinks and food. Every member of the lounge service team is outstanding! 👍🏻 I stayed for three nights this time and was deeply impressed. For example, Peng Xinyao prepares tea with such meticulous care. Han Yuhang and Zhou Sitong are incredibly quick and efficient with their service. As for Wang Dantong, meeting her felt like catching up with a familiar friend. We got to know each other during my previous three-night stay in July, and the room she arranged this time was equally stunning. It's also worth mentioning the cleaning lady, Xu Guirong. Not only does she clean every corner flawlessly, but she also ensures I have plenty of drinking water every day, so I never run out for my tea. What truly touched me was when she was changing the bed linens; she noticed the room was a bit damp and went out of her way to dry my amenities, making my night's sleep even more comfortable. I was genuinely surprised by her dedication and willingness to go the extra mile in her job – in thirty years of staying in hotels, I've rarely encountered such service. That's why I've booked another three nights at the Dalian Shangri-La in mid-September. It truly feels like a 'home' where you can relax and feel completely at ease.

You can never go wrong with a Shangri-La hotel. When I travel, I almost always stay here and eat at their Chinese restaurant. It usually offers an authentic taste of the local cuisine, and Michelle was very welcoming.

The Shangri-La was a crucial part of our perfect trip to Dalian. As an established five-star hotel, the service was, of course, impeccable. The hotel's location is also excellent, with many popular 'influencer' restaurants within walking distance. Getting to Binhai Road and Xinghai Square was also very convenient. Next time we're in Dalian, the Shangri-La will definitely be our top choice again.

I chose this old five-star hotel for my solo trip to Dalian. The lobby is still classic, grand, and beautiful, giving off a prosperous vibe. The room felt like a home away from home, not dated at all, and the bedding was super comfortable. The red shrimp candy and Dalian soda were a nice touch. Being a Shangri-La, my expectations were pretty high; the facilities and cleanliness shouldn't be worse than other good chain hotels nowadays. Things to improve: 1. The TV and the desk weren't aligned, which was bothering my OCD. Also, the TV size was too small; I had to wear glasses to watch it from the bed. 2. There were some black flocculent bits in the toilet bowl. After flushing, the handle would often stick, causing continuous flushing, even though I didn't press it with much force. 3. The hairdryer was really hidden. There were so many drawers, and I had to open each one to find it. Who would've thought it was in a desk drawer? These are just minor details, and overall, it was a great stay. Coming back to the hotel to relax each day was something I looked forward to.

This time, I brought my family and kids to Dalian, and we decisively chose to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian. This five-star hotel, highly praised by previous generations, truly lived up to its reputation. The accommodation experience throughout our trip far exceeded expectations. From its prime location and excellent room amenities to the meticulous and thoughtful service, everything left a deep impression. It's truly a Shangri-La! The Shangri-La Hotel is situated in the core business district of Renmin Road, boasting a unique geographical advantage. It's close to Zhongshan Square, very near the subway station, and surrounded by a wide array of restaurants and shopping malls. Taking a taxi to popular attractions like Donggang and Xinghai Square is incredibly convenient, saving time and effort for both leisure and business. Its transportation advantage is truly outstanding. As a long-established five-star hotel in Dalian, despite its age, it's evident that the overall maintenance is superb. The cultural ambiance is remarkably rich! Upon entering the lobby, you're greeted by a grand and steady decor with elegant style and soft lighting, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The concierge staff were warm and enthusiastic, proactively helping with luggage and being very polite. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we could feel the five-star hospitality standards! Lisa, the Guest Relations Manager, provided professional and efficient service. Even during the peak tourist season with large crowds, she managed everything in an orderly manner, processing check-in quickly. She also thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits and snacks, showing great attention to detail. The guest rooms are spacious and bright with excellent lighting. High-floor rooms offer panoramic views of the city. The bedding is soft and thick, providing an exceptional sleep experience. After a day of exploring, lying down allows for complete relaxation and washes away travel fatigue. The rooms are cleaned spotlessly, with great attention to hygiene details. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation, stable hot water supply, and high-quality toiletries. The room's soundproofing is excellent, making for a very quiet night undisturbed by outside noise. The hotel facilities are comprehensive. The indoor heated pool has clean water and a comfortable environment, and the gym is well-equipped. The buffet breakfast is a major highlight, with a rich variety of dishes, including both Chinese and Western cuisine. There are freshly made noodles, local specialties, fresh fruits, and various pastries and breads. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are excellent, satisfying different dietary preferences. The restaurant staff are friendly and responsive, making for a great dining experience. The most impressive aspect was Lisa's thoughtful service. She is genuinely warm and friendly, responds quickly to requests, and communicates smoothly. Even our child really liked her!

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making it very convenient. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. Although some of the interior facilities are a bit dated and could use some renovation or replacement, overall, I was satisfied with my stay. If the package price included breakfast, it would offer even better value for money.

The moment you step into Shangri-La, you're greeted by its signature scent. The breakfast was excellent, especially the beef noodles. It was a nice touch that they allowed us to pack some food for the kids, which was very thoughtful. Facilities: Better than expected. Although it's an older hotel, it feels classic rather than dated. Hygiene: No concerns here. The hairdryer was a Laifen.

Great location, right in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere. Dalian Port and Xinghai Square are both easily accessible. The environment is clean, service quality is high, and the facilities are well-maintained.
