The room space is incredibly generous, especially when compared to other hotels in the same price range. It's a really good room type. 2. The surrounding area is bustling with a fantastic variety of street food and restaurants. There are also many bubble tea shops, offering a comprehensive selection. You can find delicious food and all sorts of items just by crossing the street. 3. It's quite close to the Children's Park, which is a lovely spot to relax. Taking a walk there in the evening is very pleasant. 4. It's very close to all the attractions around Zhongshan, and you can reach most of them by taxi for just the starting fare. This makes it incredibly convenient. 5. Although the hotel doesn't have a free parking lot, it's great that they do have a few parking spots available. "The hotel's bay is absolutely stunning and very private. You can tell the owner has an eye for aesthetics; even though the hotel is small, every corner is picturesque, and the observation deck on the slope is breathtaking. When the weather is good, the bay turns into a beautiful 'jelly sea,' making it well worth staying to experience this beach. On the downside: It feels like the hotel's cleaning and breakfast services are outsourced to women from Northeast China. The cleanliness is frankly mediocre, so I wouldn't recommend it for germaphobes. As for breakfast, I didn't eat the food, so I can't comment on that; I only had coffee. However, the restaurant service is problematic. In the mornings, the kitchen staff were loudly gossiping in Northeastern dialect with the waitresses, openly commenting on previous guests, which was very impolite. The service lacked smiles, and their gazes were somewhat stern. While eating breakfast, they would stare at you, completely lacking personal boundaries. When my mother went to get food, an older lady kept following her and staring, making her feel very uncomfortable. There were some pastries in a steamer, and when my mother opened it to see what they were, a waitress sarered, 'These are yellow croaker dumplings, can you even eat them?!' On a positive note, the front desk staff, the bar guy, the convenience store auntie, and the paddleboard instructor were all very nice and friendly. I hope the restaurant service quality improves, and that staff receive etiquette and professionalism training, as well as addressing the cleanliness issues. Thank you."

I did not eat the breakfast as downstairs and surrounding area had plenty of cheaper options due to being next to many shopping malls. The metro stop is not so far but a little more inconvenient to get to the main train station by walking. Line 2 takes you to the airport in less than 40 minutes for 4RMB. As the metro is nearby you can get to many local tourist places quickly and cheaply. Highly recommend if you want to spend a little more but have close access to get around."

"Booked 2 rooms on a higher floor to enjoy the city views. Unfortunately there was a noticeable toilet smell in both rooms. Reporting this to the hotel staff we were allocated alternative rooms. They still had a smell but it was less pungent than the others. Having stayed at this hotel a few years ago, its showing signs of tiredness in fixtures, fittings and facilities. We were told the hotel will be refurbished in the year ahead. Breakfast buffet is good with a wide selection of western and Asian cuisines. It gets busy, especially at the weekend. There is a decent sized pool though the changing rooms are in need of refurbishment to bring it up to the standard of other 5 star properties in the city. Room rates are currently low to reflect the hotels current situation, as told by a manager when the room smell was reported. Still a great stay thanks to its location and breakfast offering and the room rates. Look forward to its refurbishment in the future."

"Whenever I travel, I always choose Atour Hotels. Their overall quality control is consistently good, and the pillows are incredibly comfortable. There was a minor hiccup at first, but Atour's excellent service quickly resolved it. Plus, the robot delivering food with mobile screen mirroring is super convenient. I picked this Atour in Zhongshan District because of its fantastic location. It's within walking distance of a series of great restaurants like Zhenghuangqi, Xianshengsheng, Pinbailou, and Riyuesheng. It’s perfect – you can enjoy delicious food and then burn off some calories afterwards! The evenings in Dalian are wonderfully cool. Walking around, you can spot fresh cherries and try all sorts of local delights. Don't miss a ride on Tram 201 at Democracy Square either!"

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Fraser Place Dalian. Before our arrival, Flora Sun kindly contacted us in advance, and she was also incredibly warm, professional, and welcoming during check-in. Thanks to her thoughtful hospitality, we were upgraded to an amazing suite with a spacious living room, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms. This made our trip with friends much more comfortable and enjoyable. What impressed us the most was the exceptional service from the hotel staff. We accidentally entered the wrong delivery address when ordering food, but a staff member went out of their way to locate the delivery, retrieve it, and bring it directly to our room. We were genuinely touched by this level of care and attention. The room was exceptionally spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. The location was convenient, and the overall stay exceeded our expectations in every way. As a group of three friends traveling together, we were able to create wonderful memories and enjoy a much more relaxing stay than we had imagined. The kindness and professionalism of Flora Sun and the entire hotel team will remain one of the highlights of our trip.
