First off, this hotel was absolutely beautiful. Very upscale and classy, modern décor, super clean, great beds, awesome bathroom with a tv in the bathroom mirror. We loved everything about our room. The staff was super friendly and helpful too. We booked this as a couples get away and because we saw the awesome rooftop patio and thought it would be so nice and romantic to go hang out up there in the evenings. We shared this idea with the person we booked the room with and they talked about how nice and peaceful it was up there. Our first night there we went up to enjoy the Rise Up and found it was completely packed with a bunch of drunk 20 something year old's and there wasn't a place to sit. We had one drink inside the (not for hotel guests). We thought maybe we could enjoy it the next day and see the view, but we went back up and they have it closed along with Rise Up so you couldn't access it until 4pm. We never went back. We had planned to do most things at the hotel and that just wasn't an option. We were going to eat breakfast there but we failed to notice on their website that Viva is temporarily closed. Then in the evening we wanted some bottled water/pop. Guess what, they have no vending at all. So we had to drive around downtown Davenport to try to find a place to get water/pop. Not being able to eat there or have vending were totally inconvenient especially being downtown and not wanting to keep going back to our car to leave. Also parking was $12 a day unless you wanting to hunt for your own spot around downtown. We were disappointed with how this all turned out.

I was with my dad traveling, and tried to make a reservation at the Country Inn and Suites and reached a sleepy, mean, arrogant, person who really didn't care if we stayed there at his hotel. I called the Best Western right off the highway and the front desk Lucas answered right away. He was wide awake, speedy and had a great positive attitude! We needed a room, and he was super fast and super nice! When we arrived, he had the details waiting for us and got us in our rooms super fast. Very helpful, respectful, professional, and anticipated everyone of our needs. Especially letting us know about the breakfast in the morning!!! The pool was open and clean looking. The lobby was spotless, and the rooms very clean for the age and condition of the building. The breakfast in the morning was definitely worth the stay and very filling. Deb the servery gal was very nice and helpful. Very sweet and genuinely happy to provide a great breakfast experience and great food! Next time I come through town, I definitely will stay at the Best Western no matter the room rate. My dad and I were so happy to spend our money at the the BW rather than the Country Inn. No buyers remorse here!!! THANKS LUCAS and TEAM !!!!!

Room was spacious. Typical hotel decor. It was quiet and they offered breakfast, 2 things we look for when traveling. I found the couch uncomfortable but was only here for a few hours then overnight so that did not really impact my stay
