I paid a 400 JPY per person per night accommodation tax upon check-in. Check-in wasn't available until 2 PM, but check-out was conveniently done via machine. The room size was decent, with enough space for luggage. The bathroom had a step up, and the ventilation seemed a bit weak, making it feel stuffy while showering. The front desk mentioned a room upgrade, but the window view was blocked by another building. The bedside storage space was very small. The TV had international channels. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Kyoto Station. If you turn left when you exit, there's a mall with shopping and dining options.

Nice room with small space ! We love the location! Walkable to the main Kyoto station! * There's no Lobby and space for deposit the luggages you need to use coin locker outside till the check-in time! Because at the check-in counter it should be Lobby but they do the gift shop. For us everything was ok but only just the luggages issue! And highly recommend for everyone who traveling with small luggages ^^ enjoy Kyoto guys!

More than 5 times to stayed in this hotel. Everything is perfect. It’s just 5-8 minutes walk from Kyoto JR station. The Onsen is perfect. You can enjoy Onsen overnight until next day morning, so if you come back late you can still enjoy the Onsen. Free ramen offered from 21:00-23:00, which is very delicious, and the hotel breakfast is Perfect too. There is Sashimi Bowl.
Room is clean as always and this time the view is very good we can see Kyoto Tower.
The staff in this hotel can speak very good English, and very nice and helpful.

The staff at this hotel are exceptionally friendly and kind, which left a deep impression. The hotel itself also held surprises at every turn. In particular, the lobby was infused with a natural woody scent – a subtle, comforting aroma that was never overwhelming. What's even better is that they offer aroma diffusers for guests to borrow, allowing you to enjoy this delightful fragrance in your room too. The tea bag selection is also incredibly diverse, with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. Sitting in the lobby with a cup of tea felt incredibly relaxing and comfortable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

The service attitude at the hotel was somewhat poor, and the check-in time was not very accommodating. Even when I arrived about 30 minutes early, I was told that no rooms were available, although the hotel did not appear to be fully occupied. Housekeeping did not change the bed sheets during my stay, which was disappointing.
On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making transportation easy.

Very convenient location especially if you take the airport limousine bus from KIX. Also a short walk from the South Gate or Hachijo East Exit of Kyoto Station. Highly recommend staying here as there are many buses departing from Kyoto Station to tourist sites.
Front desk staff are very helpful but were strict about the 3pm check-in time.
The toiletries are placed at the hotel lobby but some items like the sheet masks tend to run out fast. The hotel also provides pyjamas but we decided against using them as we saw hair on the two sets that we collected from the lobby.
Finally, we greatly enjoyed the hotel breakfast every morning! Great way to sample a variety of Kyoto-style food.

Traveling from Osaka to Kyoto by express train, and planning to take the Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo, I searched for hotels based on location and decisively chose this one. It's directly accessible from Kyoto Station via an underground passage. If your phone signal is weak on your first arrival, I recommend walking above ground; it's just two short blocks away and safe. Of course, you can also follow navigation through the underground passage, it's a straight shot all the way.
The hotel lobby is simple yet beautiful, offering individually packaged toners and facial cleansers, tea bags, coffee, and disposable amenities for guests to take freely.
The room isn't large, but it offers good value for money (considering the location!). I stayed on the 3rd floor this time, and the window faced a small street, making it very quiet – I couldn't hear any of the hustle and bustle from the main street or station outside.
The bed was on the softer side, with charging outlets on both sides. The bathroom was also small but standard; there was more than enough space to turn around and dry off. I booked breakfast for two days, and the offerings were exactly the same both days. The live cooking station had Vietnamese pho, and there were plenty of vegetables (both raw and cooked). When in Kyoto, you absolutely have to try the local tofu; it's incredibly smooth and delicious.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I could tell that service was a top priority. The staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, making check-in smooth and efficient. My room was impeccably clean and well-prepared, with all the amenities I could possibly need. It was clear that attention to detail was a priority, from the comfort of the bed to the quality of the toiletries provided.
Throughout my stay, I was consistently impressed by the attentiveness of the hotel team. Whether I had a special request or simply needed assistance, they were always quick to respond and eager to ensure my comfort. The facilities were also top-notch. I enjoyed spending time in the common areas, which were stylish and well-maintained, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
Overall, my time at the hotel was incredibly positive. The combination of exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere made it a stay to remember. I left feeling refreshed and fully taken care of, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.

This hotel is less than a ten-minute walk from Kyoto Station, but it's on the opposite side of Yodobashi Camera, which makes it slightly less convenient than the other side. However, a major plus is that the hotel has a public bath. The rooms are quite small, making it a bit challenging to open luggage. In the lobby, there's a self-service beverage and coffee machine, and you can even use a takeaway cup.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Station: During autumn, they have a display in the lobby showing the fall foliage status of several temples, along with the day's weather. The rooms are decent, and it's not too far from Kyoto Station, but there's no public bath. You can pick up complimentary toiletries by the elevators. Staff greetings are a hit or miss. The biggest downside is breakfast; it's quite poor compared to other Mitsui hotels, with limited choices and average taste.

TTanya lauIf you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. The walls are quite thin indeed, you can easily hear people walking on the hallway or simply chatting in their rooms.

Xxue****This hotel offers incredible value for money! It's super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto JR Station. The streets on both sides of the hotel are lined with small restaurants and pubs, and there's a medium-sized drug store (Don Quijote) at the corner. The room was clean and tidy, and we could see Kyoto Tower right from our window. I especially recommend the hotel's shampoo – it's really good! 😊 The room was spacious enough for two adults and two 28-inch suitcases, with plenty of room to spare. There are USB charging ports by the bed. There's no kettle in the room, so you'll need to bring your own and an adapter. The breakfast on the first floor is a set meal, costing around 60 RMB per person. Highly recommended!

__WeChat41242****Traditional Japanese-style squatters, suitable for family stays, our group of 6 adults and 2 children is very suitable, although breakfast is not provided, but there are many convenience stores nearby, travel is also very convenient. If you check in, you need to go to Bell Kyoto Station. After check in, there will be a staff member to send you to the room. You can also store your luggage for free.

MM473481****The room is comfortable, the facilities are complete, especially the hot drying equipment in the bathroom, the surrounding environment is quiet, and the supermarket bus station is only a few minutes walk away. Very good experience. The only shortcoming is that you can't reply quickly when you need to communicate with the store at night.

MM16291****After comparing many hotels, we finally settled on this one, and it turned out to be amazing value for money! Traveling as a group of three, finding accommodation is always a headache – rooms are either too small or overpriced. But this hotel perfectly met all our needs.
The room was super spacious, easily accommodating three people, and the facilities were very new, clearly well-maintained. The location couldn't be better either; with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, it was super convenient for both sightseeing and dining. We were truly surprised by the quality we got for the price. I've already recommended it to friends who are planning trips, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

GGuest UserI really liked that the hostel had plenty of showers. There were several individual stalls, which was great to use, and they were well-stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and other amenities. The dormitory was clean, so it was a comfortable stay. The front desk staff are always present, so when I accidentally left my card key inside early in the morning, I was able to get back in without any issues. The lounge on the first floor was also spacious and nice.
