Booked this for a work trip using the work online system and they recommended it. It’s cheap, and it’s cheap for a reason. I turned up after a 4 hour drive. Had to gain entry by way of a ring doorbell. A couple of lads out the front smoking said to ring it and as one of them was clearly smoking ****, they ducked off around the corner. (At least they had the politeness to try and hide it) The guy opened the door was very polite. I had absolutely no issues with him. He showed me the ground floor, checked me in and took me to my room, showing me the shared bathroom on the way. Some of the other characters appeared to be less fortunate than myself, and I’m not knocking them. We all have bad luck at some point in our lives. This place is obviously a half way house for those coming out of a spot of bad luck, so I applaud them for. These people are obviously placed there and the bills, I’m assuming, would be footed by the state. Why not earn a bit while helping those in need of it I say. For a work stay though, I didn’t particularly like sharing a bathroom with people I didn’t know, and seeing a young lady walking to her room wrapped in a towel, while she was quite pretty, I found it very inappropriate. The room was old and dated and was more a bed sit with a sink, microwave and small fridge. Id like to say I’ve stayed in worse, but I honestly haven’t. The breakfast was ok. Choice of cereal, continental or fry up.. The booking was for two nights, but I stayed for one and had work book me a best western for the second night which is more my usual standard. If you want cheap and don’t mind what I and many others have said, go for it.. if you’re used to something a little nicer, you should look elsewhere.
