Stayed at the Aston Court Hotel for one night. On arrival, the reception staff was very good and quickly got me checked in. The room was nice but did have a bit of a musty smell when I first entered but after having left the window open for a bit was ok. Good secure free car park at rear. All in all a nice stay and great location. Thank you.

Not the best view from the very large ground floor window. Thankfully slightly obscured by the mould on the glass but the last time I saw windows this big directly on to a public car park was in Amsterdam in a certain coloured district.

Check-in is available at 3pm. The room and bathroom are large, but the windows are smaller than the room. The windows of other rooms in the building opposite have no view. The windows are locked and cannot be opened. I contacted the front desk and said that all the windows in the hotel cannot be opened, but because there are ventilation facilities, There was no feeling of depression during my stay. The bed was comfortable and clean. WiFi is slow. The location is close to the city center and a 30-minute walk to the train station. The service attitude of the hotel was poor. I paid in advance to stay for 3 nights. Due to an emergency at home, I only stayed for two nights. After many negotiations with the hotel, the hotel would not refund the remaining 1 night's prepaid room fee.

The view from our bedroom wasn’t good, there was black mould on the bath. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room price was high for what was offered.

We booked a 1 night stay and meal deal. The meal deal was for 2 courses. We ordered a starter to share and a pudding to share. We were offered the new festive menu and the whole meal was lovely, very tasty, good size portions and very friendly and attentive staff. The meal also came with a free drink and as it was Prosecco Friday we got a free Prosecco each too! Definitely recommend a visit!

The place is nice and clean. Spacious room and bathroom as well. the only thing we would say about is the parking area. but it was not that far anyway from the hotel.
Just to the west of Derby, Derby Mickleover, BW Signature Collection by Best Western offers a central base for exploring attractions around the city and the beautiful Peak District National Park.
The hotel has the wow factor from the moment you set foot through the doors, with a large atrium in the reception area overlooked by balconies on each floor.
While its understandable if our fabulous leisure facilities – including heated indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna – distract you from getting out and about, theres plenty to see and do a short drive from the hotel. Theres Alton Towers for thrill-seeking families, Chatsworth House for period drama fans and the National Brewery Centre in Burton upon Trent for beer connoisseurs. Lovely stay from Thursday to Monday. The hotel was lovely and the staff couldn't be more helpful, in particular Theresa and Jose. The food was excellent with lots of choice. Great swimming pool too. Would highly recommend a stay here with plenty of attractions nearby.

GGuest UserStayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay.
GGuest UserLovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool.
Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities.
The food was nice and the staff were polite Prices are reasonable I Highly recommend going if you want a quiet to sit and have a good meal The rooms at the hotel are spacious and comfortable Also got a nice beer garden and a playground for the kids and a pool table for the adults
Travelled with my partner, for a stay after an event locally, had an amazing time at both the hotel & the event. The Hotel breakfast was lacking as there was no options for the included hot breakfast, but there was cold variations, and some toast. I am lactose intolerant so I was not able to drink a coffee in the morning, or even have cereal or scrambled eggs, or toast. However, the general experience of the hotel, has and always will be wonderful, the beds are comfortable, the tv was an ample size & in an appropriate location, the view was beautiful. I have been here on many occasions over the last 18 months, and it seems the breakfasts over a year ago were better than they are now. I will be returning.
