Motel 6 El Centro, CA

Been slightly remodeled and still my go2 when needing to stay in El Centro for work, truck parking.

Upon check in I was informed that my room was a smoking room. Perhaps that was my fault with not fully reading the room details. Then I was told that they couldn’t change that unless I paid an extra 11 dollars, which seemed like a shakedown.

The hotel was the cleanest Motel 6. We have attended. It looked grand new and the staff was excellent. We had a late Check-in and they were very congenial. We chose this motel because of its location to the freeway. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip.

We came to use the pool, unfortunately they drained the pool for maintenance. Why would they do this on a weekend. Bad timing and we were very disappointed. We should have gotten some type of compensation for no pool available. We staye for 3 nights.

Not much to say, it’s a place for sleeping, most pillow were dirty, the bed sheets dirty as well, deposit of $100 is outrageous for what they offer.

New clerk was easy to work with. Someone was smoking MJ in an adjacent room, forcing me to inhale what I have an allergy to. The clerk did provide a different room. Much better air quality. Poor facility condition. Noisy. Grungy. I do like the pet policy.

busy place. seems popular amongst truckers and civil workers. bit noisy; upstairs at night as if tenant is doing marching practices and next room talks very loud thru the night. Police presence in the parking lot.

Over all property was good the staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem I had was my phone keep ring through the night I had to unplug it.

Room was basic, but thoroughly clean and comfortable. Included a mini-fridge & microwave (yay!) even though they were not mentioned on the room amenity listing. A perfectly fine option for an inexpensive place to spend the night.
