Jinshui'an Muming Theme Wenchuang Experience Homestay (Phoenix Ancient City Branch)

The view from the room was amazing. We absolutely loved the balcony. It was our favourite hang out place during our 2 nights stay. The room was very spacious for 3 people. The bed was comfortable. They have proper amenities available. The toilet was very big. The location of the hotel was very convenient and it is walking distance to all the main attractions. It was a plus point as we were travelling with elderly people. The hotel staffs were very helpful and approachable, they provided us the digital map and gave us guidance on how to walk around the ancient town. They also offered better ticket pricings for the different attractions that was available. They came to fetch us when we arrived at the Nan Hua Men. They also arranged transport for us to the railway station as we were a group of 6. Only downside was the noise from the vehicles in the eating street in front of the hotel, and some tour groups start their tour as early as 7am in the morning, as they walk by along the TuoJiang river. However, that was not an issue for us. We woke up early to sit at the balcony and have our morning coffee while watching people passing by.

Our room is clean and have a beautiful view of the river. It is away from the pubs and bar so its not as noisy at night. The location of the hotel is perfect for us with big luggages and bags as it is located just a slope down. The room is equipped with projector and toilet bidet which works really well. The staffs are very friendly and recomended lots of activities and attractions to us. Just below the hotel, there is a shop that rents the traditional costume. The package comes with the rental of clothing, make up (they do a really good job), and photoshoot. Would totally recommend this hotel to stay!!!

We went there as a family of 4. We originally booked a room with one double bed and two single beds but once there, they gave us a free upgrade to a room with three double beds. The staff was very attentive during our check-in and gave us a detailed run down of where to visit and gave suggestions on the best route to explore the area. The restaurant opposite the hotel which the staff recommended was also quite delicious. The room itself is generally clean, but our room had some areas with cracked flooring. And although we booked a room for four people. The slippers, toothbrushes, water etc all came in threes. There was a lack of power outlets in one room while the other had more than enough which is a bit odd. We went in late December, which is considered as off-season for this area so there weren't many other tourists. Another complaint to make is some staff can be found smoking in the reception lobby. This is probably a cultural thing and not an issue with this hotel in particular because locals here smoke everywhere. The staff was also able to help arrange a car to drop us off at the high speed train station for 50 yuan. Overall, the location is not far off from the attractions (~15-20 minutes walk), clean, and had friendly helpful staff.

💖 Totally recommend for stay!! It’s 100/10 We booked 3 rooms here. The location is very good right next by the river and lots of good restaurants around. The Staff here his name is Qi is super friendly and can speak some English which is very helpful, the rooms are soooo clean and the hotel itself is very modern and well decorated. totally worth money and i got amazing experience staying here. Definitely going to stay here again next time 💖💖💖

Good location, good facilities and very nice and helpful staff.

The guesthouse was a delight to stay in. The view of the river from the room was gorgeous, and the windows open up to make you feel like you’re having tea on a balcony overlooking the river. The bathroom facilities were surprisingly new and upscale. The location is convenient for walking around and exploring the ancient old town. I absolutely loved my stay here.

Near the river. Good view. But too noisy. Room is clean. But too small. Especially the shower room.
