I had an amazing stay at MGallery CatBa! The hotel is located next to the best beach on the island, the view from my balcony was gorgeous. The hotel has plenty of facilities for the guests to enjoy: spa, two lovely pools and kids centre. Check out the pretty rooftop bar right near the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, the view is worth visiting. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were super helpful, especially Hien and Thanh at the front desk, who promptly organized the drive for me to go to the downtown after I checked out. I will be certainly coming back in the near future!

We booked for one night in a bungalow on top for 3 people. We were paid for a room supplement because we were three, and, even if there were indeed two double beds the room apparently was not planned for three ... We gave our washing to ask when This could be finished because we went on a trip early the morning and we were told that we would have them in the evening. We were asked to come back a little later, once we had a more people eating. When we arrived at the hotel following our trip we were welcomed by a welcome staff but we were surprised to discover a room (in spite of the paid surcharge) prepared for 2: two bathrooms for 3, 1 only true duvet face to a small supplement cover for the second bed and finally NO HEAT EAU. We tried to contact the staff but from 10PM no more is present. At the time of check-out, we present the various concerns we have met. It will have to do foot and hands to get a discount of 100.000 VND for hot water since the patron having checked by itself indicates that yes hot water works well but we have been badly taken. Then we have never seen so difficult to put a key in a box and push it up. However, after taking us off and remitting the discount we get a gain of cause. Thanks to the receptionist who, he, has remained calm and comprehensive.

For the price you pay this hotel is excellent. The staff are friendly and super helpful. Located in Catba town it is just a short walk to the restaurants and bars at the front and about 20 minutes to Catco 3. The rooms are very clean, spacious and look almost new. The breakfast was also solid with a good enough range of choices.

An incredible set of buildings with a huge range of facilities, including many pools, beaches, restaurants and bars. Unfortunately the level of service does not match the quality of the building and although there are many members of staff, they are often not doing anything or just on their phones. This meant things like ordering drinks or paying for activities such as water sports hire took a long time or was very difficult. No table service, even when we were the only people in the bar. Often drinks had to made in another part of the hotel and so took a very long time to arrive. Loud music played on the beach every morning from 0720, so worth asking for a room at the back the hotel if you don’t want to be disturbed. A lot of the features seemed to be for “show” rather than properly supported. The arcade for example, looks great but most machines were broken or switched off and people were more interested in posing for photos rather than the actual functionality of the equipment. Gym looks nice in photos but limited equipment. Similarly, a swim up bar in the indoor pool looked promising, but not stocked or staffed. Pool tables on the roof top bar look nice, it terrible quality if you actually want to play pool! That said, pools were very nice, beach was nice and water lovely. A lot of rubbish on the beach, but sadly this is true across most of Ha Long Bay. Easy access to the town centre of Cat Ba by using electric taxi service outside the hotel at 10,000 VND per person each way. Several restaurants , bars and tour companies in the town. Room quality was excellent, especially with the sea views; price included buffet breakfast and dinner which made it pretty decent value for money.

I really don't understand the very negative reviews here, might be written by competitors wanting to damage this property for personal profit? Always check on the reviewers to see if they have more reviews and travel around, if they only have a single review can't take them seriously. Anyway, where to stay on Cat Ba Island!? Remember we are in Vietnam where the cars & bikes are very loud all the time hooping at each other all night long! So this is quite an important point when choosing your hotel and best to be away from crowded streets and as high as possible in the building! So I arrived on Cat Ba Island without prior hotel booking although I had googled and decided what my favorites are. But then walked in person on the bay promenade to make sure I can compare the views and hotels directly! And so the Draco QK3 Hotel was PERFECT at the end of the beach strip but within just 4-5 minutes walk to bus and center. Meanwhile having the best position for the sunset view from your balcony as I had it from my rooftop room 1203 facing the ocean. Simple but clean room with shower and fridge and a nice balcony. Breakfast buffet was included in the price but I had an early morning tour and the kitchen staff prepared for me a lunchbox to take out with omlet and bacon and toast, bananas, veggies! I was so impressed that they made it for me! Then, dinner you can order and it was actually very very delicious, I showed them photos on my phone of stuff I wanted to eat and they made everything as I expected! And so delicious! I could pay by credit card, there is one bank in same building that can do some money exchange to pay the tour if you need and they also booked for me tours to Monkey Island and the Cai Beo Floating Village. Everything at extremely reasonable prices, front staff could speak English and were ready to help. Quiet, clean, friendly, nice food and a stunning Sunset from room with best view, really happy to have chosen this hotel Draco QK3!!

the trip is ok for the whole family, I will come back to Cat Ba as soon as possible for the whole family. Hope Ba sand is always as beautiful and clean as today. Wish Cat Ba pearl island will always attract many domestic and international tourists in the near future.
