Hanoi Quan Tay Ho Hotels

The location of the hotel is relatively remote and has to go down a small slope, but the hotel room is very large. It is a hotel apartment type with one bedroom and one living room. It is very clean, quiet and very cost-effective.

The apartments are clean and adequately furnished. The beds comfortable, hot water was plentiful and hot. Kitchenette with range, stovetop and refrigerator make preparing your own food easy. Comfortable, reasonably located to nearby attractions and reasonably priced. Hosts were very easy to deal with and our stay was most enjoyable.

The good news - the 2bedroom apartment was excellent value - clean, spacious and well laid out. We did have to get a technician in to sort out a noisy aircon (old unit) - but this was done promptly without fuss. A huge bottle of drinking water (same size of those for water coolers) is provided - and we definately appreciated this. The apartment is also very quiet and well soundproofed. We were very happy with the apartment - excellent value accomodation wise. Customer service was OK. We interacted with three different staff and the a staff at the buffet breakfast. The three counter staff could speak good English - we had difficulty with the lady at the buffet breakfast who spoke little English. Overall service level was OK but not the best. I found that the service from the doorman the excellent - a smile and a greeting when opening the doors. Although the staff were polite, we never felt the warmth that we experienced from other Vietnamese hotels (we have stayed at a range of 4* and 5* accomodation). For example, when trying to figure out where to eat dinner, talking to the counter staff was like talking to a polite chatbot - you had to ask exactly the right question to get a helpful response. Do note that the gynm is very small - it was smaller than our apartmeent. With the 3 of us in the gym, we found it rather squeezy. It is airconditioned though and towels and water are provided. We did not use the pool. The UGLY: The hotel provides the option of a buffet breakfast at VND346500/pax (about USD 14.50 ) - which we opted for. This is served in the inhouse Japanese restaurant. You have to choose a Japanese main course from two options - and you have access to a (tiny) breakfast buffet. However, I would not recommend the breakfast - its very poor value for money and the food provided is not of a good quality standard. Not the best tastewise either. When we were told one of our main courses was not avaialble (we were there at 8am at an empty restaurant) - my wife remarked that the option of Japanese main course appeared to depend on what was leftover unsold from the previous night at the restaurant. The provided coffee was so awful that I found that the 3-in-1 premix tasted better. See the attached picture for the (tiny) range of buffet options on offer. Again , strongly recommend you avoid the breakfast buffet. The overall exterior doesn't appear to have been maintained for years. Of course this could be due to air pollution. This didn't impact our stay materially though - although it could be an eyesore for others. The hotel is well situated and West Lake is easily accessible through the hotel back gate. Its also 15min away to Lotte Metropolis via Grab cab. In summary, we enjoyed the apartment stay - but dreaded the morning breakfast. Overall - still recommended for excellent value and location though.

We moved to this hotel after a less than great night at a nearby hotel. The location is ideal if you want to be near the lake or have business with an embassy. The lake is a 30 second walk, the embassies 10 minutes or so. There is a large grocery story (VinMart) a short walk away. The room has a large sitting area, work desk, full kitchen with a household-size refrigerator/freezer, and the bed is very comfortable as are the pillows. The bed area can be sectioned off by closing a floor-to-ceiling curtain between it and the lounge area -- convenient when your travel companion wants to get up early to work (and turn on all the lights). The bathroom includes a full-size tub and a Japanese toilet (i.e., heated seat and built in bidet with multiple options). We were there in the midst of the pandemic so occupancy was low. Rather than a breakfast buffet they provided us with a menu that included a very large selection of items ranging from Western standards to Vietnamese standards. You won't go hungry from lack of options. Evenings in the rooftop restaurant includes groups of local youth taking selfies of themselves in the 'fancy' surroundings. Worth an evening drink for the beautiful lake view as well as the people watching. Staff were great, food was very good and prices in the mini bar were entirely reasonable. Coffee, tea, drinking water and a FULL breakfast are included. If this location fits your needs when visiting Hanoi, I cannot recommend it more highly.

We booked a one-bedroom apartment for a weekend trip. It’s very spacious, clean and bright. The restaurant for breakfast buffet is on the ground floor. Delicious food with one type of pho serving each day. Busy breakfast service as there’re not too many tables. The hotel is located at about 30 mins journey to Old Quarter with Grab car. The local area isn’t the best to walk around but there’s a coffee shop within 1 min walking distance serving good coffee.

We really enjoyed staying here. We originally booked another hotel but due to the noise and other issues we had to change it and we’re very glad we chose Fraser Suites. It is located in very convenient location. Supermarkets are in the same building complex, there are numerous coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby and Old quarter and other tourist sites are quick taxi ride away. There is also a free comfortable shuttle service which we used couple of times. The room was modern, spacious and quiet. We slept really good in a big comfortable king bed. We enjoyed cooking a lot in well equipped kitchen and the washing machine was very useful for our longterm stay. We used a sky lounge on the top floor couple of times. Very nice views and great cocktails!! Due to the weather the infinity pool was not open but it must be really nice when it is warm out. The best part was the very friendly and helpful staff. The receptionists, cleaning stuff, the shuttle drivers, bartenders and waiters, they made our stay very special. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Somerset Westpoint for about 3 months in 2021, waiting for the permanent house we had found to be available for us to move in with all our furniture. We got a furnished 2-bedroom apartment on a high floor, with an amazing view overlooking West Lake. Beautiful place, modern and stylish, all the furniture and appliances were just in perfect condition. The outdoor swimming pool (probably around 25m long) is wonderful and never crowded so you can actually swim for your daily exercise if that is part of your routine. They also have a great gym and a virtual golf practice that seems to be state of the art technology (but we never used it). So the place itself is amazing, modern and charming, pristine clean, and greatly located in Tay Ho. But even more outstanding maybe is how nice everyone has been there with us during our stay. From the housekeeping to the front desk staff and the management, everyone has just been wonderful to us (and I am not saying that just because we got a totally unexpected special chocolate treat on Bastille Day – we are French…) Impossible to mention everybody here but we would like to give special mentions to the ones that we remember the name of and that we had a special relationship with: our dedicated and meticulous housekeeper, Hoang Diu, who took such good care of our home during these three months; Kylie Quynh who was able to locate for us the manufacturer of some of the furniture at Somerset that we wanted to get for ourselves, Mr Mitchell, always so nice and pleasant, and of course Miss Minna, always smiling, who made me feel at home with her great French speaking abilities and who gave us as a souvenir an orchid from her garden that is now in ours. Also, I would like to mention someone that we have never met in person but that we exchanged a lot on WhatsApp with, Miss Doan Thanh Huyen, customer representative, who helped us with the logistic of moving in and out, and who has proven herself to be an amazing incarnation of “customer satisfaction first”. We have travelled a lot, in many different countries, and I have to say that this place really stands out. Big thanks to all the team for making us feel so comfortable and wishing you all the success that you deserve!

The Covid epidemic is going on very complicated in Hanoi. Children instead of going to school, participating in outdoor sports activities, outdoor sessions are indoors all day! Prison leads psychological stress for both children and parents. So my family always wants to have short, safe vacations before the epidemic and have a fresh space for the children to have a comfortable time. we chose diamond westlake suites - a great destination that meets my family's requests!interesting experiences,peaceful for children and great relaxation for parents! Phòng view ổn nhưng nói thực thì phần cskh chán không tả được. Mình đã đặt phòng trên Trip đến nơi thì lễ tân báo phòng mình cho người khác ở mất rồi, bảo mình up lên phòng khác view hồ, trong khi phòng mình đặt trên app cũng ghi rõ view hồ rồi. Nhưng vì lúc đó gấp nên cũng đành trả thêm tiền để ở thôi. Phòng tắm thì không kiểm tra kĩ để thiếu mất dầu gội

Breakfast is a package, no buffet, no porridge, there is a 7-8 sample choice, there are hamburgers, sandwiches, noodles, fried rice, etc. More European and American. There are not many varieties of lunch and dinner choices. There is a pool but no swimming. The key is screwed. The front desk service is very good, handsome guys and beautiful women are eye-raising.
