Check in and out was fast and easy. Room was clean and roomy. Bed a bit hard. Ac works great. Good cable tv. Area quiet. Bathroom smells like urine. Micro and fridge worked. One light didn't work. Didn't try breakfast. Lots of shopping and dining in walking distance. Smoothie King is seconds away next door. Overall, decent overnight stay.

The location of the hotel is particularly good. It takes less than 6 or 7 minutes to drive to Rice U; there are many restaurants around the hotel, Jack in the box across the window, a BBQ restaurant is next door, just a few steps away there is panda express, you can also meet the needs of Chinese food, buy There is a Fiesta supermarket next to the fruit and food, and you can buy daily necessities for the children who are in school. Target is across the road. In addition, there are Bank of America, Tmobile and Verizon across the road. It is extremely convenient. Much more convenient than the hotel next to Rice. Breakfast is simple, but not bad. I stayed for a week without getting bored. Bagels, croissants, cupcake, waffle, milk yogurt, cream cheese, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, meatloaf, bacon, etc., plus fruits, various drinks , Very healthy and balanced. The hotel is also very clean, the entire hotel is non-smoking, so don't worry about the smell of smoke.

When we arrived the representative at the counter stated that our room was supposed to be on the 3rd floor but the elevators were out. I have a bad knee and I was not about to go up 3 flights of stairs all day long. She offered a handicap room on the bottom floor which I took. The entrance to the room smelled like onions or mold. Not sure if that was coming from the carpet in the hall or the fridge that was right by the door. The fridge was clean and the room had a kitchenette, which was convenient if you didn't want to go out to eat during your trip. I know some people travel with minimal money especially when the gas prices are so high right now. For the price it was worth it and I did book this place early. I know the elevator problem was not their fault but it just could not handle all of the people that was booked for this hotel on this weekend. It was close to the hospital which was a convenience for guests having to go there. Upon trying to find this place was tricky and there was no sign on the frontage road to find this place. When we turned on the road to get to here the hotel signs were small and I missed the road to turn in. The hotel is hidden away in the many trees surrounding the area so you have to look really good for the signs to turn into this place. Of course this place is the Woodlands after all. They do have a pool and barbeque pits if you would like to cook outside which is nice. The second night I found a roach on the kitchen cabinet which was not cool. I did kill it but the room needed to be sprayed. The staff to my surprise were not dressed as a receptionist should have been dressed to represent your company the day we arrived. The late night shift representative was behind the counter sleeping and some of our group heard her snoring. The lady on the evening shift 2nd night was dressed properly and was very pleasant and awake. Mind you all the staff had good attitudes and were never rude which was a plus for us. Because of this I will book this hotel again. We have visited many hotels in Houston area and it always seems to be some rude person at the front counter. These girls that worked here never had a rude attitude and whatever we asked for they provided (extra toilet paper) without an eyeroll for having to get up out of their seat to ”do” something. Housekeeping lady was nice also. After we came back from the concert we attended the representative gave us a 2pm check out Hooray!! We were hot and miserable and needed showers and sleep. Although there were many hiccups at this hotel we will book here again.

Hotwire.com hides the name of this property in their search as a “hot rate” 3 star property. In fact it’s anything but! Trust me when I tell you this. The rating for this place should be below sub zero & that might be too high. As a Houston resident familiar with the hotel, it’s amenities are not up to snuff to compare with a 3 star hotel. The owner Mohammed will not answer his phone to discuss refunding your money once the scam is revealed to you nor will Hotwire cooperate. On top of that they want a $100 deposit. (What in the place is $100 bucks? Places like this scam people forcing the visiting out of towers to stay or lose their $50-60 bucks (which is the only way they can make money). The people who do enjoy it there are the drug dealers & pimps who can turn tricks. They have occupancy challenges bc of their history and the delapedation of the place. Do yourself a favor and go to the Candlewood Suites behind it or Residence Inn nearby. A 3 star hotel....yeah right 😆

It is a two-story building in a row. The mattresses on the upper and lower beds are super soft, too soft.
