Roseland Sweet Hotel is a value for money hotel; and there would be many other similar hotels easily found online. But what made Roseland stand out was one of their staff Kiet Anh, who is a bellboy, front desk, concierge all rolled into one. The week I was there, he was working everyday and all hours, I practically see him all the time whenever i'm at the lobby, whether I am going out or coming back. His bright, cheerful and friendly demeanour plus his very personal touch is on par with the service found only at the 5 or 6 star hotels. He was what made the difference for me staying at Roseland; which otherwise would be a good but pretty average hotel. Roseland is indeed very fortunate to have employed a staff like him; and given time and the right grooming would make an excellent management personnel in the hospitality industry. My choice of hotel will still be Roseland for my next coming trip, but only if Kiet is there. Thank you Kiet, for making my stay so pleasant and memorable; and thanks for helping me send my cracked handphone for repair; you really saved my life!! See you soon!

The stay was awesome, great location, really central, had a party with the locals at the pedestrian walk.

After two nights in the Roseland Corp Hotel I just don’t know where to start describing this horrible experience as everything - the service, the rooms, the prices - was just so, so bad. So I just start at the beginning: We arrived on a Thursday. Arranging a pick-up from the airport was surprisingly complicated, it took several mails with the service manager for no reason but in the end there was a quite unfriendly driver waiting for us at the gate. They charged us 750.000 Dong which is way above the common taxi-rate (150.000 Dong). When we arrived at the hotel they charged my credit card for the room - twice. As the woman at the front desk didn’t understand English that well, it was quite complicated to convince her of her mistake and get the money back. The Roseland Corp hotel has an impressive entrance area. It’s nice, really. But unfortunately this doesn’t translate to the rooms. They are terrible, probably furnished in the 80s and not renewed since. They have whirlpool bathtubs made of plastic, lots of wood in the room, curtains that haven’t been washed for ages, and you can hear everything that is going on outside of your room. The first room we got smelled like cold cigarette smoke. I complained and they upgraded us to a bigger room (after we looked at a series of rooms, one of them still in use by a paying guest). But even the upgraded room was by far worse then everything we have seen in Vietnam. I wanted to cancel the whole reservation but they wouldn’t let us go. Instead they promised us the best room of the hotel the next day and we stayed. The first night was terrible. The bed had a very, very old and thus noisy spring mattress. The slightest movement made a noise. The walls and curtains had stains all over it. There’s no constant hot water, I had a cold shower in the morning. Shower and toilet happened to make weird unexpected noises. The best room in the hotel was basically the same as before but with a better view and a less noisy mattress. At this point I was ready to drink on that but unfortunately all the mini bar contained was two bottles of water. Breakfast was…well, let’s not talk about it. All of this would have been okay somehow if this hotel wasn’t so pricey. It’s like paying for a filet mignon and getting McDonalds Cheesburger. When we checked out the woman at the front desk (the same who messed up the payment) kindly asked us to sit and wait in the entrance area so she can check if everything is okay. We waited five, ten, fifteen minutes and nothing happened. When we asked her if everything was okay, she was surprised to see that we are still there. Yes, everything okay, she said. I can’t say the same. P.S.: Neil, the doorman, was the only exception to this experience. You are great, man! Please find a new employer.

We stayed in the older part of the hotel wich was being renovated during our stay, we where kindly informed of this on arrival. Allthough some hammering could be heard during the morning it was not annoying and since the work was being done during the day did not disturb us. The staff was friendly & kind , i would stay here again 👍🏻

Deluxe Doubleを予約しましたが、最初にSuperior（no-window）の部屋を案内されました。そこで、窓のあるDeluxe Doubleで予約したはずだと言ったら、Superior（no-window）に小さい窓がついた部屋（広さはSuperiorと同じ）になりました。予約するとき、Deluxe Doubleはもっと大きな窓で浴槽もあったと思うのですが。私の部屋はSuperiorと同じく浴槽が無く、写真のように小さい窓があっただけ。予約サイトのDeluxe Doubleの写真は、Premier Deluxe Doubleの写真を使っている？それとも間違った部屋に案内された？まあフロントがいいかげんなのは海外あるあるなので、次も同じ部屋を予約して確認してみます。 I reserved 1 Deluxe Double Room.But, at first the reception took me to a Superior Double Room（no-window）. Then I told him I reserved 1 Deluxe Double Room had the window, and next he took me to the room like the photo I uploaded. Is this room on this photo actually the Deluxe Double Room? I thought that this room I stayed is different from the photoes on booking sites. I would like to check it out on my next visit.

Was recommended Intercon and it did not disappoint. Enjoyable stay for a girls' weekend and birthday trip. The hotel's location is the best- right across the Book Street, Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office and a short walk to a street full of lovely cafes and restaurants and a slightly longer walk to the City Hall and Opera House. We were given a room on the 15th floor with a great view. Beds were very comfortable. Service was friendly and prompt. We will return!

A lovely old colonial style hotel on the banks of the Saigon River comfortable and clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff also has a restaurant and tourist information centre attached to it also has a Spa and everything is reasonably priced. I would stay here again 🙂

Staying at the Rex Hotel is like wandering onto the set of the 1932 MGM film ”Grand Hotel.” Morning begins with a lavish buffet breakfast in the Beaux-Arts-style ballroom. The host, wearing a tuxedo, welcomes you with a warm and enthusiastic smile. Then you'll take a swim in the gorgeous 6th floor pool under a tropical sky. Throughout the day, gracious staff members are available to make your stay a memorable one. In the evening, cocktails and dinner are served on the lovely rooftop, with sweeping views of the city. Indeed, when you stay at the Rex, you've finally experienced a Grand Hotel.

I had booked a night's stay cheap online and they flatly refused to honour it. Said it had been cancelled. I didn't obviously and proved it with documentation. They just shrugged. It doesn't matter whether the fault was theirs or the online booking website, it was obviously not mine. They should have accommodated me and sorted it out between the site and themselves. But they did not care and just left me waiting in the lobby for hours while I waited for the booking company to respond to my emails. The hotel had the cheek to offer me special rate. The special rate was 20% more expensive than the online rate I could have booked with my phone there and then. Eventually embarrassed I just left. My booking company got back to me an hour after and offered to pay the increased rate for me but I couldn't possibly go back to a hotel like that. Even for free. Dreadful. Absolutely dreadful.

Very good location, clean 3 star hotel with good breakfast as well. The plus thing is the location and cleanliness. Every where is within walking distance. For muslims there is a mosque opposite for Friday prayers. Halal restaurants within next doors as well, Craving for Singapore frog porridge? The original shop is just next door, Easy for business travellers or families. some rooms are without windows though so if you are fussy please state your requirements. will come back and book again!
