So.. generally I don't really think twice when I check into a hotel but today I had to take notice of Andrea she was efficient attentive but most importantly effective. She went out of her way to turn my day around. Thanks Andrea for the great tip and insights on our way to save on a delicious lunch at a nearby venue! With my savings not even including my reading rewards discounts I just made book another night thanks red roof!

Stayed for one night only. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Korgan - the front desk attendant was AMAZING! She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. I greatly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be back again!

Do NOT overlook this hotel due to its older outside appearance! Value hospitality if offered at this Comfort Inn East. The breakfast was okay with rotating entrees. However, the yogurt inventory could be improved. Often, it appeared they were afraid to place more food out. With many high school groups staying during our stay, I wonder why the desk staff did not communicate the the breakfast staff how many people to prepare for. Often, food ran out, or I was greeted by frozen ice cold muffins and bread items. Yogurt ran out. On the plus side, pudding and boiled eggs were in the refrigerator 24/7. Rooms were clean and laundry room was functional. Best reason to stay here? The Luby's Cafeteria is right across the road.

I normally stay at Hilton hotels, but my company had a meeting here and I stayed for two days. Front Desk: Average customer service. The reason I stay at Hilton hotels vs. Marriotts is because I can choose a top floor room. Marriot is hit or miss when it comes to requesting a room on the top floor. When I requested a top floor room for this stay (even though it was in my travel notes) I was told none were available. I find that a bit hard to believe. Lounge / lobby : Nice space inside with a bar and several TV's including individual TV's which is a great feature at a hotel. Furniture comfortable. It would be nice if they had complimentary coffee 24/7 or at least, in the morning. Hilton offers this at most of their hotels. Outdoor areas: Nice fire pit area with nice furniture. I enjoyed sitting outside after work. Rooms: Rooms are new, modern, with lots of great features. Nice TV, nice couch to lounge on. I think Marriott rooms are more equipped than Hilton rooms overall. Lots of business traveler focus as well as personal focus. Bathroom was nice and well equipped. Fitness center looked well equipped -- better than most Hilton hotels. Marriott chain is a very well managed chain for business and personal travels. There are a couple restaurants right next to the hotel which I thought was a nice option to not have to drive into the city for dinner. I enjoyed the Italian restaurant very much -- it was a quick 60 second walk from the hotel. All things considered, nice hotel. I recommend it.

A few things needed to be updated in the room to work. Great location it does give off old when you arrive because of the gate, but it secured parking. Good price for the duration of the trip near many restaurants and stores. Staff was limited but kind.
