There was a host at the restaurant who answered my questioned very rudely then asked me was i staying at the hotel.
I was very hurt. Other than that the hotel was great.

Stayed at this little gem for one night found it last minute before my trip to Houston I really liked the decor of the hotel it’s also in a great location, I tried to check in an hour early and that didn’t go as planned other than that valet parking the restaurant and room was well worth it

The hotel, the room, the area were all great. My wife and I had booked a night for our 10th anniversary, and I arranged for flowers to be delivered and champagne to be in the room when we arrived. The flowers were sitting on the front desk and they forgot the champagne; I was so disappointed. Then the fridge was broken in the room, so we lost our leftovers. Then, while I took our luggage downstairs to check out, the cleaning staff STOLE MY WIFE'S FLOWERS. It took them half an hour to find them, the manager was doing her best, but I honestly don't think I'll stay there for a special occasion again.

The rooms were nice but the rest of the hotel is very dated with many scratches on elevator doors and buttons. The worst food and restaurant service ever in my 40 years of travelling. Not very helpful front desk staff. Nice and smiley but not very forward with info and area knowledge. Excellant shuttle service and that was the only positive thing.

Had to switch rooms bc the AC would not work and it was 84 in the room. The shower head was very painful to use bc it spewed out harsh water. Way too expensive for bare minimum service and appliances. Wouldn’t stay here again

Its always a great stay at the C. Baldwin. One of my top hotels in HTX. Staff is always very friendly, the rooms are clean, and its in a great location in HTX. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

It's a great hotel if you are a young couple or single traveller. It has a young vibe. Breakfast has a limited menu and is not kid friendly.
Room amenities were okay: The coffee maker didnt have any powdered cream/sugar, the fridge did not cool well, the safe was locked and unusable and the shower pressure wasn't good.
The good: location was within walking/uber distance to many restaurants or stores, and it was clean in the rooms and common areas.

The hotel lobby itself was gorgeous - nicely decorated, clean, spacious, quiet. The room itself was beautifully lit with warm lighting, I’ll say my favorite part of my stay was the view (Floor 17th) and of course the shower with its double headed, marble walls. However I do wish the glass only went half way through, a lot of water splashed onto the floor. If you’re someone like myself that needs bright lighting to do their makeup, our traditional room didn’t have that, only downside to getting ready. Staff was helpful with any needs we had - the continental breakfast was worth getting as well.
