Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets

Incredible! Seriously, the location and the resort itself is beautiful. We had some wonderful butlers (Angel and Edgar) and everyone else we interacted with was friendly. You truly get the impression everyone there is doing everything they can to make sure you have a great time. The resort provides plenty of events to keep you busy and we enjoyed all of them so much! The room was everything we wanted it to be and they truly thought of everything you could need. Unfortunately our trip overlapped with hurricane Milton and affected our trip somewhat. There was a miscommunication with their partner airport transfer (Amstar) that led to us being dropped off at the wrong port. They got us a taxi, but it was pretty expensive for the distance (surprised we had to pay for it). It was a a stressful start, but after a ride on the public ferry we made it to the resort. They handled the hurricane well overall and we enjoyed our time despite the weather. One issue we did experience though was the speed of the service in the restaurants. At first we attributed it to the hurricane (understandable!) but it carried over into the days afterwards. I did see this in a couple of other reviews. Also the slide was closed :(. Not related to the hurricane, looks like it had been broken for a while. Normally things like this don't bother me much, but this resort is expensive! When you factor in flights and transfers it's hard to justify paying full price when issues like this happen. We really did enjoy our time at Impressions, but we probably will only be back if there's a great deal.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and everything about our experience was exceptional! From the start they have you arrive at a more private marina and offer drinks and snacks while you wait for the catamaran. We rode over to the island with a small group of other guests and were served drinks along with fun music. When we arrived to the resort we were greeted by a personal butler along with warm towels for our hands as well as drinks. While the staff took care of our luggage we were given a tour of the beautiful resort and then shown our rooms. The room was very clean and the decor was beautiful. All of the staff members were happy to help and super kind throughout our stay. Our butlers Moserrat and Ritik were always there to book dinners and activities throughout the day. Multiple employees made a lasting impression - Brian (in charge of entertainment), Abraham( bar service), and the employees in charge of the “cookies” class! There are multiple restaurants on the property that have amazing food- hibachi was our favorite at the restaurant “Sake”! This resort was the perfect place for our honeymoon- we had such a great experience that we will never forget!

This Secrets has a one of a kind view. I’ve never seen water that is so turquoise and clear. The view is unobstructed. The rooftop pool/restaurant/ and bar provided a fun and lively but serene experience. Excellent scuba diving just a 2 minute boat ride. The staff works so hard to provide for the guests- and always with a smile. Beautiful yoga classes 3x every morning in “the temple “ overlooking the bay.

We came to impressions for our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away by the service, beauty, food, and hospitality. Location: the resort is truly stunning. Every view is picture worthy. The beach is crystal clear and the color of the water is beautiful. Hospitality: Words cannot accurately describe the hospitality at this resort, the people are the kindest and most caring people you will meet. The team at the impressions lounge, Salvador, Irene, and Iran were awesome. We had about a 2 hour window of time before our boat came and we had a great time talking to them. One we arrived at the resort, We had 2 amazing butlers, Edgar and Angel who took care of anything we needed and always checked on us to make sure we were having a wonderful time. Jenner, Reyes, Abraham, and Uriel down at the beach went above and beyond for us. They knew our drink orders and kept them coming. Abraham and Uriel surprised us with a honeymoon treat and it was so kind. Make sure to visit Axel at the sharks bar, he makes the best drinks! (Go for the cucumber Margaritas). Eric at the Unik restaraunt was such a great server and very kind. The staff at impressions is what makes this place feel like a home away from home. Activities: You will never run out of things to do. We did the sound meditation with Rebecca and it was my favorite activity I’ve ever done. The entertainment team is wonderful at impressions, we did crystal readings, tarot cards, the fire show, Karaoke and it was all so fun. Brillan on the team is awesome. We also went snorkeling and the team who does the snorkeling is great, the water is gorgeous. They have tons of activities going on every single day for all interests. Food: We already miss the food here. This is definitely a different caliber of food than other all inclusives. We loved spezia, the Italian restaurant and their chef is from Italy. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Sake, the hibachi restaurant was delicious and fun. The breakfast at Unik was my favorite way to start the day. And the shoutout to the cooks at Mercado, we ate 2 servings of tacos everyday because they were so good. At impressions, they make every dish look like art. Overall, I do not think another resort can top this. I already want to go back!

Upon arrival we requested the golf cart rental which was communicated by our Nizuc concierge team days in advance. This was not executed my the impressions team. The butler Wedinzon did make it happen but we had to wait about an hour. We enjoyed carting around the island and drinking fresh coconut water and stopping for our favorite tacos which was just around the corner from the hotel. Once we returned we finally got into our room after a very cumbersome check in process. You have to hand write your entire check in information. Information they literally already have when you book the room. Now keep in mind we paid 3500 for the room for the night. As my wife and I were ready to use the in-room spa tub we realized the bubbles were not working. They did try to come and repair it after we notified them but by then we were not only disappointed but not exactly ready for company of you catch my drift. The spa was great and empty (it’s not included). We decided to order in room service. The menu was very limited and when we got our food, it was not good. Not even close. My wife’s steak was cooked all the way through and had absolutely no flavor. No seasoning at all not even salt. The chips were complete stale and my pasta tasted like it was out of the can. When I’m brushing my teeth, the air conditioner was literally dripping on me and all over the floor (we thought there was a leak originally). The espresso maker didn’t work either but they have a fabulous bakery and coffee shop that’s open 24/7. After our food issue, we went and grabbed some sandwiches from there that were delicious! That was our favorite spot and they knew it because they recognized us every time we walked in. I’m unsure if they were in a hurry building the resort but there were multiple spots in the ceiling that there are very serious leaks and even one spot fell through in the night. Wedinzon was great and did his best to make sure we were happy but he can’t cook the food or do the maintenance and repairs. If you spend the kind of money we spent on the room, you would expect these things to be inspected before arrival. You can stay at other non inclusive hotels for 1/3 the price with all the same amenities. We ended up driving around the island again in the morning for our fresh coconut water and tacos at the taco shop before heading out. Needless to say we were very excited to return to the Nizuc for the rest of our stay.

Impressions Isla Mujeres was one of the most spectacular hotels I've visited. The staff were incredible, the food was exceptional and the views were picturesque. I would book another stay with the staff and team again in a heartbeat! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great staff and resort. Highly recommend. One of the best trips we have been on. From the time we arrived to the time we left, the staff was always available, friendly, and wanting to help. If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing, clean resort this is the place.

This place is spectacular! The colors of the water are unbelievable. The staff is top notch. Loved it
