The location was perfect. Easy walking distance to everything. If you are looking for a "no-frills" affordable option, this is one. The staff was very attentive and responded immediately to any concerns. The rooms were clean and sufficient. The only problem was that the internet was not strong. I work remotely, and zoom was tough. Otherwise, a nice stay.

I stayed here once before in Sept 2017 and had good memories of small but clean rooms at a reasonable price in a good location. However it has gone downhil since then. I am not fussy on hotel facilities, all I require is a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, fresh air and cleanliness. On arrival for my two night stay I was told they still needed to make up my bed. The woman brought a new duvet in a cover and put it on, I asked about the bedsheet and she had a close look before agreeing it also needed changing, this was concerning, as if I hadn't pointed it out I would have been sleeping on sheets someone else had used. One of the towels in my bathroom was already wet and used. There were tiled floors and a mat beside the bed that looked like it had been in use a few years without washing. Two of the 3 blinds would not lift so couldn't not get much natural light in the room but there was good electric lighting. There were marks and stains up the walls, obviously during Corona there would be little money to redecorate but walls could still be cleaned. I don't think the room had been cleaned between guests - there were plastic forks and a pair of socks in the back of the wardrobe - and during a pandemic this is unacceptable. There were dead flies on the bathroom windowsill and at night baby cockroaches dying on the bathroom floor - this can't always be helped in Israel and at least they were dying which means the building had been sprayed. But still off-putting. Like most Israeli hotels there are no tea making facilities in the room. This hotel did have kettles available in the hall which was a nice touch, but no tea or coffee. However there are cafés nearby. The thin quilt provided was not enough and I was very cold the first night, as there are no staff on site to assist. I used the aircon for heat but it is not pleasant having hot air blown all night. A battery air freshener periodically squirted artificial perfume (which I am very sensitive to and triggers my asthma) into the small room, it was hurting my nose and throat so I literally slept in a face mask the first night to keep it out of my airways. The next day an extra quilt was provided (with a cigarette burn in the cover) and I managed to disable the air freshener. Unfortunately it then became clear that the room had been smoked in. One of the pillows stank of stale cigarette smoke and the headboard was musty. The bathroom was adequate, the sink and toilet looked clean enough, the shower had a lot of built up scale and dirt around the frame. I had a warmer but still unpleasant night and couldn't wait to check out. Across the narrow hallway from my room someone was smoking, and I could smell it in my room, I WhatsApped the owner about that (as they are not on site) and they did look into that and get it resolved. There are 'no smoking' signs everywhere but clearly guests disregard those. On checkout I told the owner in person that to be hones

I made the mistake of staying at this horrible hotel this month (June 2022) for 5 nights. This is a dodge place, with strange people and disgusting smell of cigarettes, very noisy, bed and pillows very uncomfortable, old and cheap quality. The room was in a deplorable state, nothing like the pictures on ***********. I asked to change the pillow and it took 2 days, the shower broke and the hotel everyone disappeared from the place over the weekend because it was bank holiday. Since the place was in such a deplorable situation we had to book another hotel for a night. The craziest part is that the property has declared us as NO-SHOW the night before we left so they got all the money and I AM NOT ABLE TO PUT A REVIEW ON BOOKING. This place needs to be shut down. The only reason they have a good rate is that they do that with people that don’t like the place, just declare it as no-show. Because I made the complaint, the property owner started sending direct messages on my WhatsApp insulting me with very low-level language. We paid $120(USD) per night, which is super expensive for this traumatic experience.

Colazione servita in altro hotel a 5 min a piedi altrettanto squallida.
