We arrived at this hotel very late, and when we entered the room, we were very surprised. We booked a suite, but we didn't expect it to be so good; the room is very large, especially the dining room and living room are very spacious; especially the wine cabinet is made in the form of a piano, which is quite innovative 👏; the bedroom is also very comfortable, there are two bathrooms, very convenient and very clean; I woke up in the morning and found that the hotel is very large and beautiful, and took many photos in the hotel; it's a pity that it rained and I couldn't go to the garden, I could only look at the beautiful garden through the window. The breakfast is also good, a standard English breakfast; it is worth staying for two days to sit around in the hotel and drink English afternoon tea, which will definitely be very enjoyable.

A massive thank you to Emma Jane & all her wonderful team at the very special Lyrath Estate. We have just spent the last 3 days there. We attended a very special wedding there over 10 years ago & always promised to return & stay longer. It was so worth the wait. Wow! We were blown away! We entered through the impressive entrance, up the winding driveway & glimpsed the elegant ivy covered stately home sitting regally on top of the hill. Every single member of staff were friendly, respectful & knowledgeable. We had lunch in the bar when we arrived & dinner on both nights in Tuppers restaurant. I had the best food I’ve had in a long time. Such a beautiful dining experience from start to finish. The bed was sumptuous & the Ritual toiletries a lovely luxury. The welcome bottle of wine & chocolates were a lovely treat. For breakfast we were spoiled for choice with a very impressive buffet of hot & cold & also a cook to order menu was available. The dining room was elegant & so calming looking out at the ancient Yew trees & lawns. There’s so much to do & we only got to experience a small amount. The foyer is a really nice tranquil area to sit with a drink. The floral displays are stunning. The history of the house is so interesting. One thing in particular stood out for us. The respect that the staff & senior management had for guests & each other was very visible. I cannot recommend a stay at Lyrath enough. We most definitely will not wait so long to return. Did I mention the walks, falconry & archery! Go on, you deserve it!

Lovely room and comfortable bed. All needs catered for and staff even posted on an item which was inadvertently left behind in room after we checked out. Lovely parkland setting and nice walks around the estate for a stroll. Great setting for a wedding or special occasion.

Wonderful overnight stay for birthday celebration. Room with a terrace was beautiful. Excellent staff so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner at the Grill was flavoursome and excellent quality as a was breakfast the following morning. We used the pool and hot tub amenities and again enjoyed this while looking out at beautiful gardens from the infinity pool. As it was just an overnight stay we didn’t get to explore the walks / gardens on the estate but will definitely be returning to do that. A wonderful hotel to visit and spoil yourself.

We had the most enjoyable afternoon tea there due to the quality food , relaxing atmosphere and attentive service. My daughter was served a surprise birthday dessert when the waitress asked were we there for a celebration. Would highly recommend

Stayed in a Manor House Suite for one night. Enjoyed a massage, time in the spa, a walk within the grounds, and dinner at The Grill & Bar. The room was large and very satisfactory. The spa was pleasant. The restaurant food was okay (had a burger with no choice on how to be cooked which signals to me it isn’t fresh which I would expect at a site of this calibre), drinks were great. The staff overall are fantastic and friendly with a real can do attitude and mucking in together to give a great experience. The hotel grounds are wonderful and with two distance designated walks (2.5km and 4km) options are simple to navigate. Were it not for some overspilling noise from the resident’s bar overnight I would have given 5* overall. Staff however responded positively when discussed and made additional efforts to make things right so you can’t fault that. Bumped into the owners while walking the grounds. I get they live on site but a short chat with customers wouldn’t go a miss. You never know who your customers are.

While the public areas and setting of the hotel are undeniably stunning, the experience falls short of the 5-star rating it claims. Our stay revealed several shortcomings that marred our experience. Firstly, our room was not serviced after our first night, despite being out all day. We returned to find the room untouched, with no turndown service – a basic expectation at a 5-star establishment. The room itself was average and required detailed cleaning; we noticed fingerprints, dirty windows, and even cobwebs in the grill restaurant. The lack of 5-star standards extended to the leisure facilities as well. The leisure center and gym were very basic, with limited equipment and small spaces that did not meet the expectations of a luxury hotel. The culmination of our disappointing experience was on our departure day. I informed the reception the night before that I had an early morning meeting and requested a breakfast to-go bag. Despite being assured it would be arranged, it was not. I then asked the porter for a simple bowl of cereal, but even this could not be managed. Consequently, I had to stop for breakfast elsewhere, causing me to be late for my meeting. In summary, the service and facilities did not reflect the 5-star rating. We have received better service at 3-star hotels. While the setting is beautiful, the lack of attention to detail and poor service make this hotel a disappointing choice for those expecting a true luxury experience. There are better options available that offer superior service and facilities without the premium price tag.
