Ko Tao Resort Paradise Zone

Very nice hotel with great views. The stuff was super friendly and helpful. We had a great time there.

Don’t tell me you have been to Koh Tao and never stayed in Paradise Zone. I spent the wonderful time here. The location is amazing, you can see both sunrise and sunset. My room was with sea view which I can see Shark Bay, and I enjoyed the sunrise right out of my window. After chilling at beautiful infinity pool, I enjoyed the sunset shined on my face. Oh , I love the vegetable spring rolls from hotel restaurant, thin crust and crispy! Yummy! The most important, the service is great and staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is very clean and bed sheet is comfortable. I really want to extend my stays …but they are fully booked. Maybe you reserve quick and in advance. Highly recommended! If I come back Koh Tao, I’ll only stay in Ko Tao Resort-Paradise zone.

The Paradise Koh Tao Resort I was saying to my daughter how, for me, a 5 star hotel is not just about the quality of the room or building or the food or even the staff. It’s about the overall experience. Value for money, comfort, fun. We were met at the pier with our cases carried for us to a songthaews. We were met at the grand hotel by Koko who explained that there was a power cut. No electricity but he was smiling and so sincere it was not a problem for us. We were walked to our room by Koko and a colleague. They carried our cases. The room was just being finished with cleaning and we went into the massive room with a double and single bed. No AC because of power cut. It was funny with Koko explaining to us how it worked without being able to show us. My daughter and I then went to the pool which was absolutely amazing. We had the whole pool to ourselves for the afternoon. An elderly Thai couple came and we took some pictures for them. Then a German (or South African) couple. The pool and area was big enough that we weren’t in each others way. Able to relax, peace and have fun. We then ordered some ice cream and when the electricity came on we then ordered lunch; an omelette, a coconut chicken soup and red curry. It was absolutely delicious! (About 600BAHT). My daughter then showered and I had a bath on the balcony! Yes, a bath on the balcony, Bubbles bowing down the street. it was amazing! We then went down to the lobby and were driven free of charge into Koh Tao. We had a wonderful time in Koh Tao which is really alive again since covid. We then paid 500B for a cab back. We slept in the beautiful air conditioned room. The following morning we had breakfast (250B each) and were served again by Su (who was always helpful and smiling). There were other staff members (Myanmar) we didn’t get their names but thank you to them as well. Everyone was smiling, friendly, trying their best and running around for us. We then went on a snorkelling tour and when we came back went to our room which had been spotlessly cleaned with fresh towels etc. We then showered and went for dinner inside the restaurant because it was raining outside. For dinner we had Ka Pow (prawns/basil). Red Curry. Sweet and Sour Pork, coconut chicken soup (again). 4 drinks. It cost 870 Baht. The food at this place was probably the best of our entire trip. Unbelievably tasty I wanted to thank the chef. We then went and played a game of pool in the bar and then went back to the room and fell instantly asleep. The following morning a songthaews had been arranged for 8am to take us to the pier. The end! So, the night before we are at Suranthiya Koh Phangan and they are very similar. Only Suranthiya is about £350 per night and this place was about £40. I think in the 1990’s/2000’s this was Koh Tao’s Suranthiya. Koh Tao resort paradise zone was amazing! They offer a free shuttle ride from the pier to the resort, which is an added bonus. The ladies on reception were absolutely lovely; always smiling and saying hello. They were very helpful when I needed to contact an airline, they let me use their phone free of charge for over an hour! The serving staff at the restaurant are lovely and very professional. The menu is lovely & the drinks are fab (best mojito I’ve found on Koh Tao, and I’ve had a few….!). Our room was lovely, with a nice balcony. The cleaning crew would come everyday, in and out in 2 minutes and leave the place spotless. Shoutout to the barman! We absolutely loved the barman, a quiet man but absolutely lovely. He put up with me constantly losing at pool very well! All in all we had a fabulous stay and the staff are all so lovely & welcoming. For a hotel resort, they really make you feel at home. Everything about this resort was fantastic except maybe the location if you're looking for a bit more excitement as it's in a quiet part of town. They do have a complimentary shuttle that can take you to the beach/busier areas. They also have complimentary pier pickup and drop-off. The staff at the front desk as well as the restaurant were all incredibly kind and helpful for anything needed. Was easy to organize a scooter rental with the front desk. They had a brand new scooter delivered to the resort and then picked up again at the end of our stay. Pool views were stunning. It was super quiet when we were there and anytime we spent time at the pool, we were either the only ones there or only another couple lounging there each time. Highly recommend!!!

This hotel is on top of a hill and has STUNNING views, especially from the beautiful curved infinity pool. I stayed in 2 rooms, first had partial sea view which was pretty good, then was in full sea view room which had views to die for, a beach down to the left Shark Bay and another to the right and green hill in front, plus a cool bath on the balcony to relax in looking out to sea☺️. The reception staff were amazing, very helpful and chatty, always willing to help and give advice. There is a free shuttle for arrival and departing then just 50b to take you into town. I used this a couple of times but also walked, which takes around 35 mins to the pier. One warning though if you walk back to the hotel there are around 270 steps up to it from the road, which is pretty tough going when it’s hot and you are carrying items, but not impossible. One slight issue there was no buffet breakfast and limited menus for lunch and dinner, perhaps down to how many guests are here just now as we emerge from covid, however the food offered is totally adequate and served by polite helpful staff. A beautiful hotel, STUNNING views and great staff.
