First review. This hotel is not cheap in Kyoto, but there are no reviews. I guess not many Chinese people stay there. I stayed in a lot of big hotels in Kyoto with the intention of trying it out, because there are few hotels in Kyoto that match the price and quality. The opposite is true, you get what you pay for. So, I discovered a new treasure hotel. The appearance is unprepossessing, the interior decoration is high-end, spacious and comfortable, and the supplies are also very good. There are few reviews. Ctrip has repeatedly sent invitations for first reviews, so I will write about it.

The house is very spacious, clean and tidy. It is such a blessing to live in such a big house in Japan! Two bedrooms, a large living room, two large beds, four tatami mats, a washing machine with air-drying function, and a bath room. The fly in the ointment is that there is only one shower room and it is inconvenient for the family to take a bath. Everything else is good, but it's too hard to find. It was more than ten o’clock. According to Ctrip’s map, it’s not this house at all. I couldn’t find it for an hour by myself. Later, fortunately, I met an enthusiastic local person, a couple, and helped us find it together for an hour and communicated on various telephones. , I couldn’t find it when I searched the map. It turned out to be in the small alley behind where we were standing. Suggestion: At obvious turning points, hang up the signboard of the homestay. The map of Ctrip is wrong and needs to be corrected.

Modern, clean, exceptionally well equipped rooms in a fantastic location. We spent 5 nights at this hotel and loved every minute. The facilities are spotless, the staff are lovely and it is within an easy walk of the best geisha spotting areas (we saw many), great shopping, beautiful alleys full of restaurants and bars and the train station. Highly recommend!!

Stayed at this hotel for one night, the location is great, very close to the main cherry blossom viewing spots. It's only a few kilometers from the hotel to Kyoto train station, so we took a taxi, which was 1300 yen one way. In addition, it is also very convenient to walk to other attractions from here. The service is good, the staff is very friendly, except that they don't speak English very well. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are a good size. This is a traditional Japanese hotel. The public baths are very clean. Our rate included breakfast in the communal area and dinner in the room. The food is varied and of good quality.

Happy we found this hidden gem! The location was excellent as it was close to everything. The room was small but a little bigger than others. The staff was very nice and helpful, from front desk staff to housekeeping. Takanori and other staff recommended excellent restaurants close by for dinner: a ramen restaurant and yakatori restaurant. For breakfast, due to many early morning starts we were only able to enjoy one morning of breakfast in the restaurant area located on the first floor. Breakfast consisted of a bread roll, scrambled eggs, sausages, small amount of salad and fruit. Tea and coffee were offered as well.

What a fun place to stay at! We booked through *********** and stayed one night. Had a great experience. We were picked up at the train station and brought back to the ryokan where our entrance was announced with a big crash of a gong. How fun! Staff was super friendly, food was excellent and the room was comfortable and quiet. We slept on extremely comfortable futons on the floor. Went to both dinner and breakfast in the Yukatas they supplied. Really enjoyed that experience. I tried out the onsen, which was very well appointed but I didn’t stay long as I overheated. I believe the onsen to be less appealing in the summer when you’re over heated all day. But I did want to give it a go. The ryokan is super close (walking distance ) to the main shopping areas. They gave me a lift in the morning to pick up my rental car. They provided umbrellas when we were going out and they thought it might rain. Just extremely thoughtful service here. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Really enjoyed the stay here at the Gion location. It’s situation right in the heart of the old town that exudes a Kyoto old charm atmosphere. It’s also within walking distance to Kiyomizu area and the popular Yasaka shrine. A 15min walk will bring you across the river to Shijo-dori where it’s lined with modern shopping malls, lots of eateries and the famous Nishiki market. Room is of good size, clean and funky looking. We took the one with a kitchenette which came in handy as we opted for their bread making breakfast which was really fun. Hotel staff knows little English but really friendly and helpful. There’s also some local activities organised by the hotel such as tea ceremony and local area walk that you can join to be immersed into the local culture here.

We booked the hotel as we thought the location was great and the rooms looked fine. Service was good. They were accommodating to a room change request(especially during a busy season)- Thank you Miss Kyu! We also asked for air filter as the room was a little stuffy- Thank you Jay Tanaka! The rooms are clean, yet much tighter than normal(even compared to other Japanese hotel groups). The bathrooms were nice and updated and the sheets/covers/towels were high-end. I would not stay here if you are traveling with more than 2 people in a room, I think the suites even would be a challenge with suitcases unpacked. You cant get a better location, so close to the markets, pontocho alley, shopping, Gaesha watching, etc. and central location to all the temples. Everything is a 5-10 minute walk, except the temples(obviously). Would recommend for a solo traveler or young couple who likes boutique hotels, and plans on spending a lot of time site seeing nearby. We did not have drinks at the bar(weird hours) or have their breakfast(looked good though when walking past).

It’s a prime location, right next to the Yasaka West Tower Gate. I think Google Maps lead me to a parking lot, so good to note. We got in early and checked in our bags to storage, and went to visit Nishiki Market and then Kiyomizu-dera before heading back around 3P. They asked me during checkin what times I wanted to eat and if I had any food preferences. I was pleasantly surprised by this as I was planning to give anything I couldn’t eat to my boyfriend, but they made a menu just for my food preference and it was ALL delicious! Highly recommend the dinner (and allocate 2,5 hours for it since it’s multiple courses) and then visit the public bath on your way back to your room to sleep off the best meal ever. Wear the Yukata to dinner. As we checked out, he was nice enough to walk my luggage down the stairs and even hailed us a taxi. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Directly opposite the stunning Chion-In temple the Gio Fukuzumi Ryokan places you right in the heart of history. With Gion just a few minutes walk away and iconic sites like Heian Jingu or Kiomizu Dera less than a 29 min walk there are few Ryokan better placed. The ryokan itself is delightful. The staff (Especially Momoka) were phenomenally polite, warm and helpful and made our stay that much better. Personally welcomed and served dinner in our room by the Okami (owner/general manager) gave our stay that special touch. Momoka personally took care of our every need and had such a positive and engaging personality. The food for dinner and breakfast was well above average and would easily put good restaurants to shame. Finally the onsens (there are 2) were lovely. Men and women bathe separately and for our stay the onsen on the top floor was for female bathers while the one downstairs for men (for the morning it was the other way round) The Gion Fukuzumi Ryokan delivered on everything perfectly and I will 100% come back to stay again in the future. Oh of one last time …. ももかちゃん本当二度もありがとうございます

Traditional Japanese style, but privacy is particularly good, because a whole house is a room, there are no other guests, the courtyard is beautiful, the owner and the family are enthusiastic and enthusiastic. Excellent value for money small hotel 😄 microwave oven, tableware, coffee machine in the room, but also intimately prepared detergent. There is also a coffee machine in the living room on the first floor, which can be drunk by yourself. Stayed for three nights. The hotel is very good, clean, tidy, warm and lovely. Although the house is small, it is well-equipped with all the necessary care supplies and facilities, and even has an air purifier lock box. However, the open windows are sealed and cannot be seen outside. The soundproofing is excellent. Even though it is so small, you can hardly hear the sound from next door. Unlike the four-star hotel where I stayed later, the soundproofing was average. Facilities: The setting is very reasonable. It looks ordinary at first glance but you will know it after using it. There is no extra charge for mineral water. Environment: You can walk to the surrounding Nisanban and Yasaka Shrine. There are many shops around and are convenient for life. The bus stop is Gion Station. You can also walk to the bustling business district Takashimaya.
