We arrived at 1:30 pm at the front desk of the hotel with my American friends. I booked all the hotel rooms, all paid sometime in Oct. ‘24. The front desk told us we had No rooms . I asked why? I dhowed them the confirmation, your e mail to me…all proof. They told me No payment from you was received by the hotel. I said why would that happened? They said they do not know. And told us flatly that they cannot contact you , the responsibility of contacting ang solving our problem is on me. I said, be reasonable. Trip.com whatever it is , is your partner in this. I cannot be the victim of whatevrr stupidity that happened. I m paid thats all. Its good a young man intervened and helped solve the problem. I was so furious i would like to kick the desk.
Sfter a long stand off, finally it was found out that you did not make any payment to JPark.
A company like yours, which does not pay, and hotel like JPark which i feel only think of their interest , the result is a victim like me, innocent yet delayed for hours in our use of the hotel room we paid for in advance. I almost turned violent because of what you did. My American and filipino friends could not believe what they are witnessing and experiencing. They can observe my frustration and embarrassment. Finally at a few minutes before 4:00 pm , we got our room. I will never deal with Trip. Com again and will not visit JPark again.

Great hotel with its own beach! We booked 2 deluxe pool side rooms at Costabella and we were very happy with the rooms. They were very spacious and the views from our rooms were fabulous! We really enjoyed our stay here, there were heaps of beautiful lounger around the pool and at the beach. Free use of paddle board and canoes.
We stayed at the Costabella for 3 nights and it was a very relaxing stay. The property is old but very well maintained and all staff were so helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, food at restaurant was scrumptious, drinks at Luna bar great and there is a free pool table to play on.
The only negative we found about Costabella was that you can’t just walk out the property to go to a convenience store or another restaurant. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place to stay. Yes, we would come back again to Costabella but next time we will bring our own snacks and drinks.

Crimson Mactan went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The staff was warm, courteous, attentive and quick to respond. Breakfast spread was incredible, props to the head chef who made sure everything that comes out of the kitchen is of quality. We chose Crimson as our wedding venue and while it rained during our reception, the whole team was quick to respond to transfer everyone to the ballroom to keep the party going! They were also generous enough to hold a foam pool party for us the day after the wedding. The premises were clean and beautiful, rooms are cozy... we have no regrets with holding the best day of our lives at Crimson Mactan!

I stayed here twice in April & May 2023 and was consistently impressed with the staff & the property. The staff was very friendly, helpful, accommodating and very courteous. The deluxe room had a great view, was large, clean, modern and very comfortable all around. The buffet breakfast was excellent with good selection of Western and Pilipino dishes. And the table service was excellent—shout out to Ariel and staff for a very attentive service! I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality & selection of drink’s & pastries at the Cafe also punctuated by excellent service. The property has 3 great pools, a small private beach , picnic area & fitness center. For me the only service missing is the food room service but it’s a minor item for what I needed. The location is an about 30 min from Mactan airport in a secluded gated area. Getting here was through local neighborhood and inconvenient from other restaurants & services so you’re pretty much will be staying on the property unless you want to go out for a long drive. I paid 650 pesos for a Grab ride around noon time from IT park to Reef. I have been to many 5 star Western style resort hotels in US, Europe & Asia and Reef compares well especially if you can book a discounted room for less than $150 USD. Overall, I highly recommend the Reef Island Resort hotel and will return again when I’m in the area. Definitely a good value for the money and excellent staff.

I booked this hotel with my 11 year daughter to have my birthday staycation. The hotel was quite new and designs are modern. Check in was very smooth with very kind polite front desk officers. I was allowed to have an early check in as the hotel wasnt fully booked at that time and was kind to offer me a room upgrade. I politely declined the upgrade as the bed configuration wasnt suited for me and my daughter. We wanted a twin bed and the room upgrade was for one queen sized bed only. The size of our room was relatively small for a twin bed room. Its roughly 21sqm in size and it kinda tight when all your luggages and things have been all around the room. The Buffet breakfast was on the average side, Hot dishes werent kept warm and choices was kinda limited. But for the average kind of breakfast spread, I wouldnt complain more. The hotel is very near (I mean walking distance) to 7/11 convenience Stores, good quality restaurants nearby , Mcdonalds, Mactan Alfresco etc... I love the ambiance of the community ... its like a little city within a small community. Not that I really didnt like that much, but it was just something that I didnt appreciated much... its the hotel's pool that looks like blurry and wasnt kept clean by the time we went to visit the area. The prices at the bar was kinda pricey and wouldnt offer any happy hour during the day. The Surroundings of the pool area werent kept clean and aesthetically pleasing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Savoy.

We had the pleasure to eat at Belmont Cafe. It was an exceptional experience and the service was second to none. From the greeting upon entry to the quality of food and the attentiveness we received, the entire time was incredible. We had the four cheese pizza, fresh lumpia, Laing and other items. The food was beyond delicious and can’t wait to taste more dishes in the future. We want to give special recognition for Chef Ri, she checked on us to make sure we enjoyed the food, a rare thing and much appreciated. Special recognition as well to our server Michael, he went above and beyond to make our visit memorable and was one of the most attentive I have seen, he provided the highest quality of service and others in the future will have a hard time matching his skills. Thank you for all you did to make our dinner one we will not forget.

Shangrila hotel outer facade lives up to its reputation, open and airy.
Hotel is well maintained but some facilities in the room, i.e. shower or eco friendly soaps (re usable bottles) could be improved. Balcony sliding doors are filmsy and aged. Very minimal sound isolation, you can hear kids running along the corridors and people talking.
Family resort, lots of activities for kids. Breakfast at Tides had a bigger spread than at Acqua.
Didnt enjoy our trip as the room upstairs was constantly dragging their chair across the floor.
Many korean tourists and some rude caucasians encountered. We have gone beyond the Colonialism era so please have some respect for the locals and tourists alike.

Great place to stay with your loved ones. Staff are friendly and accomodating plus they are always smiling. The Salt Restaurant made us feel like they are always there to attend to our needs. It's a quiet place so if you like to have a vacation with family I think this place is perfect. They have a bar though to sip and unwind facing to the beach it's such a great ambiance. They also have restaurant with a classy and elegant vibe. What I like is the hotel is really clean and modern their staff is very polite and hospitable. With the food hmm I like the breakfast than dinner both are buffet. The time we went there they have a Zumba in the pool and I find it cute seeing guest doing Zumba together.

CCycling Family ManWe arrived at 2:00 AM and wanted a place to stay near the airport. This is about as close as you can get. We were hoping to walk from the international terminal to the hotel but it didn't look walkable when we arrived so we had to call a taxi to take us the 400m. Overall we had a positive experience.
The kids really enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was decent.

GGuest UserPlantation Bay is again my favorite hotel on Mactan. I was there August of 22, January of this year and just finished a stay in May. Here are some things to consider about Plantation Bay: - It’s the only large Filipino owned resort on Mactan and they must treat there staff incredibly well because everyone I spoke with has worked there 10+years - unlike other resorts they have a no tipping policy - The large salt water lagoons are beautiful and large enough that they never feel crowded - Plantation Bay offers a variety of food options for every taste - They have a wide variety of on site activities and offer multiple excursions outside the resort for reasonable prices To be fair there were a couple of things that could improve but those are minor - The beach towels need to be replaced. The bathroom towels are great but the beach towels were old and thin - During busy periods when you call bell service or guest relations the phone just rings with no answer. Overall though, this is the best place to stay on Mactan. Great service, unique activities, great staff, and some of the best swimming pools anywhere Here are some tips: - if you are not traveling with kids, the waters edge rooms are amazing. You can step from your deck directly into the lagoon - Consider the Route 66 Diner for breakfast. Good food and never crowded -A romantic dinner at Palermo’s is a great option on site - I paid the extra $50 to have a car drop us off and pick us up at our room and it was definitely worth it. You get checked in/out at your room saving time Highly recommend this great hotel

GGuest UserThe pool is so pretty and healing and good to play! The pizza you eat in the pool is also delicious. And the staff are very friendly. The service to take you to the lobby with a golf cart was good. 👍👍 Kimchi Jeon is delicious for breakfast. ㅋㅋㅋ The menu other than Kimchi Jeon is normal, so you can only experience it for a day or two. I recommend it. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay and I am willing to visit again next time I visit Cebu.

GGuest UserI really, really enjoyed my time at this hotel. I was solo and was treated extremely well. My airport pickup was there waiting for me even though my flight was an hour early! Check in was smooth and I was offered a private transfer to the sister beach property straight away if I wanted it I had a massage at the beautiful spa, room service and a wander around the roof terrace. I was treated so well when I was there and the manager is extremely efficient and helpful. Also the bed is so big!!! Thank you so much

Rryantiu16Me and my wife stayed here at this hotel for 5 days and we have nothing but good experiences. The staffs are very accommodating and friendly. They always made sure that our needs are met. My wife and I decided last minute to do an excursion. Fortunately, the hotel offers multiple options to choose from. We booked two excursions through them- we had an awesome experience! The transactions were smooth and easy. They even offer ”wake up call”, if you need it. They hotel has a restaurant with an a waterfront view. They also offer homemade ice cream- it was delicious. If you guys need a a quick snack, their hotel is located across 7-11 (open 24 hours). They have three swimming pools, but our favorite pool is the elevated pool because you can watch the sunset. The pools were clean. Overall, we would recommend this hotel. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

AAnonymous UserIt was raining so I didn't enjoy the great view. But the airport is very close to the hotel and the security measures are very good. Very suitable for family activities and enjoys a private beach. Breakfast is okay, but not as rich as expected. Sadly, the key card keeps getting degaussed, so the card has to be replaced every time, which affects the experience!
Room facilities are a bit outdated.

TTrek16107089405It was much better than expected. After booking I read a couple of reviews left here in trip advisor. I had wanted to cancel, but that was not an option. We decided to make the best of it since it was Mother's Day and my birthday. I lived through Odette. Had no MECO service for 3 months. I didn't see any signs of Odette damage. If it was there it wasn't glaring. The pools are well maintained. The beach was fine. The food isn't as bad as others have written though it is a little pricy if you're used to food prices in Cebu. The tourists mostly from Japan won't think the prices are high. I asked a Japanese couple why they had chosen this resort. They told me it was part of a tour package. Japanese love tour packages where everything is selected for them. I know. I lived there for 27 years. There is a cycle for their breakfasts. Ours was on a Monday so it was: Continental Filipino American. Funny thing.. corned beef is in the American breakfast. Oh sorry. No Canadian breakfasts. Haha. The rooms were fine. The ”air con” was strong and so was the hot water in the shower. No problem. OMG! There were a few ants. Hahaha. So what. It's the Philippines. They're everywhere. The staff was courteous and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The door latch in room 505 needs to be reversed. It comes right off when you open the door.

FFishasfunFirst I must say that my GF and I have stayed at about 10 hotels on Lapu-Lapu Island. All budget or mid-range priced. All in the last 6 months. The AOSMEC is the lowest priced of the group. All other hotels were 2 to 3 times the price of AOSMEC. The simple truth is that my one week stay at the AOSMEC was the best!!!. Yes it is a basic Hotel with no frills or a pool. But if that's what you are looking for? This hotel is simply perfect. PROS: WIFI speed is extremely good since every floor as it's own router. The hotel is extremely clean. It simply is irreproachable. You always see someone cleaning morning to night. Cable TV is very good with brand new TV'S This hotel is Familly owned by phillipino's and they make sure clients are happy. So any issue that might come up. Is dealt with very quickly and correctly. The room cleaning is upon request but just ask and it's done quickly and perfectly! The owners completely understand what a budget traveller needs and they don't overcharge. You can get anything you need on a ”a la carte” basis. Example: we got some laundry done. The price was about 15% higher then doing it ourselves at a laundramat self serve service. If you factor in tranportion cost to get to and from the laundromat. It's less expensive through the hotel. WOW! The clientele is a mix of locals and foreigners. And all are happy with the rooms and services received. The hotel is soo well managed that it is expanding. About 20 rooms are being added. AND THESE ROOMS ARE NICER! 5 Rooms are 95% completed. I visited one. Cons: the restaurant is basic. It's geared more torwards the local clientele. But there are many good restaurants within walking distance and this should not be a concern. There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel. Not even 30 seconds away. It is about 30 minutes away from the airport. Taxis are a bit more scarce but with the Grab app.(like Huber) that issue goes away. This place is the perfect budget hotel that actually beats out most mid range hotels at 3x the price. Dont hesitate and book. No worries here. Do not hesitate in.booking here. You won't regret

JJeanette Van der WesthuizenBeautiful place! They helped us arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel. Friendly staff. We also made use of them to arrange watersport. It's right at the beach with beautiful water, although not swimmable when it's low tide. I felt the hotel could have been cleaner. And the air conditioning was very old and not very useful. But it's a great location. Beautiful sunset!

GGuest UserKitchen utensils were also available and I was able to stay without inconvenience. The water pressure in the shower is a little weak, but you can take a shower without any problems. It was very good.
