This place is NOT a resort at all. They do not even have a reception on-site. The site is abandoned and everything in the apartment was super outdated. The bathroom tub is so high that it is very difficult for senior citizens to even get into it. There are no facilities on-site and they are charging resort fees for I don't understand what. Only thing that was good was the view in Leysin. We had a pathetic time here. This resort is being advertised as a RCI Gold Crown Resort. I travel a lot and have stayed in many Gold Crown Resorts. This place is the furthest you can get from a Gold Crown Resort.

So I booked this place through RCI and expected a 2-3 star hotel based on the point value but got a 4-5 star hotel that's seen better days. The rooms are very spacious, the kitchen is stocked with all the cooking equipment most people will need, the views from the balcony are magnificent, and the WiFi is decent. These rooms, especially the lighting, give you a very warm and cozy feeling. There are some minor maintenance issues with the place like a light that doesn't work and the kitchen faucet's adjustors being broken which means you have multiples streams of water shooting all over the place which makes it difficult to, say, fill a water bottle. It's worth noting that I came during May which is the off season in Switzerland so that might explain the maintenance issues. Then again, they can certainly make a killing with this place during the high season if they fixed some of the aforementioned maintenance issues.

Nice view. Good situation for skiers. A track arrives at ±250m from the buildings. Otherwise the facilities are at 450m. Or the free bus at 50m. The apartment is old-fashioned, but has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The bedding is good.

This resort is being advertised as a RCI Gold Crown Resort. I travel a lot and have stayed in many Gold Crown Resorts. This place is the furthest you can get from a Gold Crown Resort. In fact, it should not be called a resort at all. It is basically an almost empty apartment. There is no reception and no resort facilities. One is however charged an exorbitant Resort fee. When I enquired what the Resort fee covers or provides it guests, I was told it is for electricity and hot water!! Let's talk about the WiFi, or rather the lack of it. They advertise their units as 'some might have WiFi' . I did not have WiFi. When I raised my concern about this, I was told by Marijke (the lady who manages guests), that the (so called) resort is selling its units and that they are therefore not investing in the units anymore. She informed me that the WiFi I can get onto is actually the neighbouring private apartments' WiFi. She confessed that she saw the code once and therefore give that code to guests. I was therefore instructed to illegally use other people's WiFi. She explained that the units does not have their own dedicated WiFi. The 'Resort' is advertised as having awesome views. What they neglect to mention is that the views are off the trees infront of the complex, which obscures the views of the mountains. There is a grass field infront of the complex. Most days, at around 5pm to 8pm, school camps have school activities on the grass. I'm all for having fun, but the noise made it impossible to take a nap in peace. There is also a hotel next to the complex, which I suspect have tour groups staying over. The bar area of the hotel is positioned in such a way that the noise from the nightly drunk parties, sometimes till midnight, echos directly into the complex. The towels look like it dates out of the 90s. I had a 6 sleeper, I found 1 mattress (out of the available 6), which had some support. You could actually feel the bed base through the mattress on the others. The microwave started smoking... It was however quickly replaced when I mentioned it can cause a fire. 2 light bulbs had to be replaced. There is 1 very dim light in the bathroom. I struggled to see properly in the bathtub shower when the shower curtain was drawn. I had a visitor over who lives in the area, who stated that the college dorm rooms next door looks better. One positive point is that the cleaning staff is doing a brilliant job. The apartment was very clean. Considering all the above, I would not recommend this resort/apartment.
