Thangka Hotel

The hotel has a great location. You can walk directly to the Jokhang Temple and the Potala Palace. There are many restaurants around, so you don't have to worry about eating. Because we drove there, Xiao An at the front desk called us in advance and told us the specific navigation location of the hotel, so we didn't take a detour and found the hotel directly. The front desk was very enthusiastic in receiving us, and they also upgraded the room type and put fruits in the room in advance. It is really a hotel that considers its customers very much. I have decisively recommended it to my friends.

First time staying in this hotel, inside the Jokhang Temple Pedestrian Street. The hotel is in a great location! It only takes one minute to get to the Jokhang Temple and about 10 minutes to walk to the Potala Palace. The hotel has a rich breakfast, both Chinese and Western breakfasts. The hotel has a parking lot but it is not big. Except for the inconvenience of taking a taxi, everything else is good.

The hotel staff is quite friendly. The cleanliness of the room and corridor is better than that of a brand hotel I stayed in yesterday. I didn't catch up with breakfast, so I went to the Tibetan teahouse next door to eat Tibetan noodles. Near the hotel entrance and in the alleys of Barkhor Street, you can see electric speakers everywhere playing "Electric vehicles cannot be parked here, they will be towed away..." It seems that the management is still very strict. I drove away at noon and have not received any notice of violation and punishment. It should be to take care of the tourists staying here. I will come again next month.

Originally booked a king-size bed room, but changed to a standard room due to the bad location. The hotel is in a good location and convenient for travel. The rooftop offers a panoramic view of the Jokhang Square. In the pedestrian street, it takes a few minutes to get to Barkhor Street and Danjielin Lane. Shopping and eating are all done. It is also close to the Potala Palace. For those with severe altitude sickness, it is recommended to use oxygen, which can be turned on in the hotel room.

Tangka Hotel is a very service-minded hotel. From the time we checked in, the girls and boys at the front desk were very enthusiastic. They helped us with our luggage and introduced us to places to eat. The service was very thoughtful. The room was clean and spacious. It gave people a comfortable feeling as soon as they entered the room. There was plenty of sunshine outside the room, and the breakfast was also appetizing.

I have been using Ctrip to book rooms for many years, but the most annoying thing is that I booked Tangka Hotel this time. There is a sign prohibiting left and right turns at the intersection of the hotel. We use Baidu Maps and Amap to navigate synchronously, but we always navigate to the back of the hotel. The back of the hotel is a pedestrian street, and vehicles cannot pass through. All cars entering the hotel can only violate traffic signs and force a right turn to enter the hotel. We drove around the hotel and spent an hour on the most congested streets, and found that we could only violate the traffic prohibition sign and force a right turn. The driver got off the car and took the ice cream cone to enter the hotel. Sure enough, about half an hour later, I received a text message notification of violation from the Lhasa traffic police. After communicating with the hotel front desk, the hotel promised that they would bear the compensation for any violation. The kettle in the hotel has a layer of butter scale, and the boiled water cannot be drunk for tea. You can only use your own kettle to boil water to drink. I respect the eating habits of various travelers, but the hotel also has to consider that some travelers cannot accept the taste of butter. Can two kettles be equipped? The parking space of the hotel is very tight and difficult to enter and exit. It takes a long detour to have breakfast to reach the restaurant. The facilities are old and feel dirty.

The hotel is very close to the Jokhang Temple, about 100 meters away. The decoration of the hotel lobby is very elegant, and there are many exquisite thangka Buddha statues in the corridor. The room is very clean and comfortable, easy to use, and there is a humidifier in the room to humidify at night to avoid dryness. The disadvantage is that some equipment is damaged, such as the safe, the password lock is broken and cannot be used. The service attitude of Xiaoan and Xiaosu at the front desk is very good!
