This is one of 2 places we stay for our annual Christmas shopping trip so we’ve stayed several times in the past because of the value. The furniture in our room was beaten up and needs replaced, the water pressure in the shower was bad and water wasn’t hot enough for me, but we managed. All in all, this is a good place to stay if you’re not picky about decor as it was clean, just needs some updating. We’ll most likely stay here again since it’s suite type rooms giving extra space to wrap the gifts I buy and the price is decent.

The hotel is located in the city centre and there are many attractions nearby. The hotel has paid parking and parking is very convenient. Shopping and eating are very convenient. The restaurant inside the hotel is delicious. Standard American breakfast, self-service order, but the buffet is almost the same every day, not much change.

We were in town for a college visit. The hotel is located within steps of the the University so the location was perfect. We are a family of five , so the suite room fit us perfectly. The lobby is easy to understand and get around in. You can valet park for a fee or there is self parking up the street for a lot less (we weren't even charged for one day of the parking, have no idea why!). The hotel has the usual open area in the middle and although the noise didn't bother is, while we were in the room, I can see where others would be bothered. As I said, the room was a perfect fit. the bathroom was a bit dated, but it did its job. Buffet breakfast was perfect in the morning for everyone and the light snacks served a dinner time were nice as well. There is a pool and gym but we didn't have time for either on this trip. We will definitely be back. One other note, they like a lot of places have lack of staff issues, which was very apparent at the restaurant. I'm sure as time passes this will work itself out.

So, if you are traveling down I-80 and just need a place to rest your eyes, this might be okay. The area of the hotel is safe and the bed and linens were clean. After that, well, we’re sorta surprised that Americinn would keep it in the franchise. The housekeepers do a great job, but we don’t think they have any maintenance people with opposable thumbs. Missing smoke detectors, irons, doors on the cabinets and drawer in the bathroom. Dents in every lamp, chips in every wall and we wouldn’t even bathe our dog in the in-room hot tub. Not enough outlets to plug in two cell phones. Trash dumpster is the first thing you see and the parking lot has abandoned cars with flats and windows open. A giant lady standing two inches from the outside door enjoying a heater. I think you’re getting the idea. It was only $80 for a Sunday night and that beats driving into the ditch or sleeping in a wayside rest. Although we would not stay here again, we recommend it to anybody tight on cash that just needs a place to sleep and shower. It’s safe and cheap.

The location is good, the east side is the expressway, the traffic lights and bridges enter the Lincoln campus and the stadium; the west side is the casual bar-like old district, which seems to be the most lively place in Lincoln. The hotel's free WIFI clicks are connected, unlike some hotels (such as the Ambassador Hotel that lived for a while), it is annoying to join the membership and log in again every day. There are quite a few Chinese restaurants in a kilometer. At least I have been to 4 or 5 restaurants. Of course, Indian and Mexican restaurants are also good. The rooms are relatively large, and the sanitation, facilities and services are all at the Marriott level. Recommended for latecomers

Great Choice hotel! Comfy beds like Comfort Inn & Suites! Friendly staff, clean rooms, very quiet at a mile or so from I-80, many nearby food choices, snack area with items to purchase - drinks, candy, ice cream, frozen dinners, Mac & cheese, etc. Free cookies at check in. Breakfast area clean & sweet lady was constantly checking ever& refilling. Many protein choices - eggs, sausage, yogurt, string cheese, peanut butter, etc. Also has in door pool & hot tub. Nicely lit & landscaped outside Skip the higher priced hotels and stay here! We will be back!
GGuest UserVery comfortable room and was clean. The only negative thing here was the TV selection was bad. Also, make sure you ask where you want your room with the available selection otherwise they put you next to elevators. The rooms are not the best when it comes to sound. But overall, not that for one night.
SSidArthurI had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket during a recent business trip, and I cannot say enough about the exceptional service I received, especially from the overnight front desk agent. Despite the hotel being completely full, they went above and beyond to ensure I was accommodated with a wonderful room that perfectly met my needs. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I felt genuinely welcomed after a long day of travel. The front desk agent was not only professional and courteous but also went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Their attention to detail and customer-focused attitude truly set this experience apart. The room was spotless, spacious, and quiet—exactly what I needed to relax and recharge before another day of meetings. This level of care and service, especially during a fully booked night, made my stay memorable and hassle-free. I highly recommend the Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket for anyone visiting the area, whether for business or leisure.
GGuest UserI stayed here for a recent business trip. It was my first time to Nebraska, so I really didn't know what to expect. The staff was extremely friendly and I even got upgraded to a suite on the 3rd floor, which made for an amazing welcome. The room was extremely clean and the hotel was well taken care of. The breakfast wasn't anything special but it was nice to have options before I headed out for a long day of meetings. My only complaint is that I slept terribly at this hotel. Now, it could've just been me and the time change and allergies. However, I barely slept during my trip. Some of my co-workers said the exact same thing. I'm not sure it was anything due to the hotel but normally I sleep amazing at hotels but myself and my co-workers had a terrible few nights of sleep. Also, the water seemed really hard at this hotel. Not sure if they have a water softener or not but the water was really harsh on my skin. Overall, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Clean, comfortable, and friendly.
CLEAN. Cordial staff is attentive, present and on the job, housekeeping does exceptional work. Newer building, serving cellophane wrapped food..so guests line up for the waffle machines. Coffee needs replenishing often, in part because of staff, in part because guests fill up tanker size travel containers. Hotel full with active air force (housing flooded. All those military camo pockets hold a lot of cellophane food for young bodies, and don't get in their way ! ), youth sports travel teams, UNL graduation and a birthday party ! ( Housekeeping kept common areas immaculate.) A light sleeper would have a problem on any but the top floor which was not available to us. I'm a sound sleeper but the construction amplifies any sound. The nervous late night pacer above me might as well have had heavy boots on and wakened again as their cooler was filled for an early out. ( It really is the construction and lack of any sound isolation). 3 elevators. Clean outside patio. 15 min to hay market, UNL. McD and little else nearby.
Our stay at the Holiday Inn express in downtown Lincoln, was maybe the best experience we’ve ever had while working on the road. Whether it be Greg, J C, Carmen or Allen parking our vehicle for us during our stay, they were always courteous and prompt. When we checked in, Larissa and Catherine were incredibly helpful and gave us service with a smile. Over the next several days Linda, Tracy and Shyne continued the impeccable service we received from each member of the front desk crew. Each morning breakfast was inviting and enjoyable with Helen and Lin always willing to help with a plate or fix a drink. During our weeklong stay there were many times either Martha, Guadalupe, pearl, or Josephine we’re available to freshen our rooms and make sure we had plenty of towels and toiletries. Again our stay at the Holiday Inn express in Lincoln Nebraska will be a stay that we were member as the best hotel during our 2 weeks in Nebraska.
We stayed at Horizon on our way to and from a trip to Colorado. We chose this hotel basically because of the low price. That could be a real risk, considering where many low-cost hotels are located. This hotel is not in a bad neighborhood as someone else commented on. It is right off I-80 near the airport and very easy to find. Because of their location, there is nowhere to really get out for a nice walk after traveling a long time. There are some gas stations nearby. We chose to go to town to find a good restaurant to eat at... and there are places within a 10 minute's drive. Staff is friendly and helpful! Rooms are very clean. The beds are a bit firm, but comfortable. Wifi actually worked. The in-room compact refrigerator was handy to keep our things from spoiling. Good water pressure made for a decent shower. One thing they could improve, perhaps, are the towels and washcloths were a bit on the scratchy side. The A/C worked very well. The entire hotel was well kept. Breakfast is definitely a continental style breakfast. They had a waffle maker for those who enjoy something more than cereal, bagels, etc. Noise levels being near an airport? We had no airport noise whatsoever during either stay. Would we stay here again if we had the opportunity? Sure would. Appears to be family owned and we support small businesses any chance we get. Thank you for a good nights' sleep, Horizon! Ya did good!!
Cclutz777The beds were good and the room was clean. Shower worked well. Just what we were looking for at a good price. I'm now continuing to type because I need 200 characters , which seems a little ridiculous to me. It was a hotel room not buying buying a new house! 29 characters to go Room was clean
GGuest UserGiven the fact that this room was $75, I wasn’t expecting much. I was however expecting the room to be clean. The floors were disgusting, and looked like they hadn’t been touched/cleaned in months. If you had white socks on at the beginning of your visit, you’ll end with black and brown ones. The shower had multiple different settings-which would be nice if any one of them worked. Mattress was also disgusting, and didn’t have a cover on it. I was only staying for one night, and just needed a place to sleep and shower, and both did happen, so I can’t complain much. Quite literally the bare minimum.
