Goodmorning Solo Traveller Hostel

The stay at goodmorning hostel was simply awesome. Why? Good people, clean and safe spaces, friendly environment, good location, good food (I was all-inclusive so I tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each one was amazing in its own way! Plus they have veggie options), good connection with local entities for outdoor activities like guided tours, day trips, social activities in the evenings. It was my first experience as a solo Traveller and I couldn’t be happier! I felt part of a community

The accommodation and the equipment are really perfect. The front desk staff is available 24 hours a day. One small note: the reception staff is very polite, except for the rather heavy set lady who never answers to ”Hello!” ”Bom dia !”. The elevator is working perfectly. I highly recommend it.

This is a very nice hostel. Everyone is very friendly and the receptionist even spent time with me at check in to show me Lisbon on a map and where to go. I was in a 4 bed dorm room which was spacious and had everything you needed. Be aware that they only have mixed gender rooms so if this makes you uncomfortable then I recommend somewhere else. It was quite hot in my room however this can be mitigated by opening the window if you don’t mind traffic noise. I did get unlucky as there was a bachelor part staying in the hostel at the same time as me and they were very loud. The hostel is very well located plenty of restaurants and landmarks within walking distance and the subway is also very close. There is no laundry on site so you will have find one close by if needed. There is a bathroom on each floor and they stayed remarkably clean considering how many people use them. All in all a very good hostel.

Wow!!! From the minute I arrived for check in until I checked out, I was really impressed by the staff - I call it the Wow effect. Great experience overall - even the lady at breakfast!!! I am impressed and I will be back.

Metro entrance is right in front of door and Metro is easy to use. Room was very comfortable for 3. Just needed it for sleeping and showering. Also, very quiet. Breakfast was decent to get the day started. Staff was very friendly. Staff sold us the Hop On Off bus in Sintra. The traffic there is terrible and we had to ditch using the bus because we would spend over an hour waiting at a stop. Also Pena Castle has timed entry ticket that you cannot get same day, at least for a decent time. I know this might not be there fault, but they need to know, if they don't. Also, just trying to give others a heads up. We did not get value for the ticket we purchased.

Service: Night receptionist was very polite and professional. I was not able to lock the door in the first room I was given, and another room was promptly offered. All the information I needed was provided and I really enjoyed my welcoming. Check-out morning receptionist was very polite as well, and offered me a discount, if I had stayed a second night (in the end, we were not able to stay, but it was a very kind gesture). Rate: Very good rate, particularly if you consider this is a 3-Star Hotel. Breakfast was a bit complicated to get during my stay (mostly due to Covid-19 restrictions). Because it such a good area, we decided not to have breakfast at the hotel. There are plenty of places to have breakfast around the hotel (if you want the best, go to Pastelaria Versailles), and most are very affordable. Room: Good size for one or two people. Furniture is new and surprisingly modern. Curtains could block out daylight a lot more. Asked for a balcony and got one: perfect! Asked for a double bed, but was given two twin beds joined together. I hate it when they do that. It was just for one night, so it was acceptable. Asked for a room facing the main road: I was told that it was not possible for the type of room I chose (a double, even though I ended up in a room with two twin beds joined together). Perhaps only triple rooms face the main road? I wonder. Very comfortable mattress and pillows Shower Head: Excellent! Perfect shower. Bedroom doors are not the best: a lot of light came from underneath the bedroom door, people in the hall could be heard quite well, even when they were not being noisy, and closing it meant you needed to slam it almost every time. Cleanliness: Very good! Bed linen and towels were impeccably clean. And so was the bathroom/toilet. Location: Perfect. Subway/Tube around the corner (you can get downtown - city centre - in 10 minutes), a lot of nice restaurants and cafés (pastelarias), all you need within walking distance, Gulbenkian Museum and gardens, which you should not miss, is just 10-12 minutes away on foot. Covid-19 Information: The Hotel was very clear about all the rules. Hand-sanitiser was available through-out the premises; the cleaning team was very active and seemed to take sanitary regulations quite seriously.
